New Beginnings is now LIVE!
Thanks to an awesome formatter, I was able to upload New Beginnings earlier than expected. It is now live on Amazon for Kindle. Nook and CreateSpace (paperback version) are coming soon! Happy New Year, all. It was an awesome 2013 thanks to all of you!

Starting Over in paperback!
The proof paperback version of Starting Over arrived yesterday from CreateSpace, and I have had a ridiculous smile on my face ever since. I can't put it down. I can't stop looking at it. I thought hitting the publish button on Amazon was amazing, but being able to hold an actual copy of my first book in my hand is just unreal. That's mine. I did that. I wrote that. It's just incredible. Starting over is now available on Amazon for Kindle, Barnes & Noble for Nook, and as a paperback through CreateSpace.

A Few Words About Starting Over
I just want to clarify that Starting Over is purely a romance novel. It is not erotica. If you are looking for something with steamy sex scenes then you are going to be disappointed. There is sexual innuendo and things are implied, but there is no juicy details. It's not that I have something against such books, I don't. I love many erotic novels. The decision to not make it erotic was not made until I was writing the first love scene between Xavier and Ella. It played out a few different ways, but how it appears in the book is what felt right to me. In the case of Starting Over, I believe those things are best left to the imagination of the reader.

Starting Over Published
Well, I finally did it. I accomplished a goal, a dream, a New Year's resolution. I can now say that I am a published author. Starting Over went live on Amazon today, and my emotions are all over the place. I'm happy and excited and proud of myself. It's also scary to think that I just put a piece of myself out to the world that is now open to critiquing and criticism. I hope everyone is able to embrace Xavier and Ella's story, and enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. And remember, their story isn't over. It continues and concludes in New Beginnings, which I am still working on. Happy Reading!

First Official Blog Post
Well, I am proud to say that this is my first official blog to go along with my first official novel.
My journey began last summer when I decided to take a writing class at my local community college. I have been unemployed since January 2009, and taking care of my two grandsons during the school year so my oldest can go back to college, so I needed to find something to do while at home. I've always wanted to write, but just didn't know where to start. I knew it wasn't as easy as putting pen to paper or fingers to keyboard, and I learned a great deal from the two classes I took. My final 500-word assignment was the beginning of Starting Over. The story just quickly took off from there.
It also must be said that I was not always interested in reading. I loved to write. I just didn't enjoy reading. During some hard personal times back in May of 2008, I picked up my copy of Twilight, which my oldest daughter had recommended to me two years prior to that, knowing my love of all things vampire. That's how long my copy sat around untouched. I went on to read the first three books in the series in under a week. Breaking Dawn was the first book I ever pre-ordered and went to a midnight release party for. My romance book addiction has just grown since then. I guess it was only natural that I would write a romance novel.
Starting Over is expected to be published on July 23rd. I hope you all enjoy reading about Xavier and Ella's story as much as I enjoyed writing about it.
