Excerpt: The Time Traveler's Wife

Excerpt: The Time Traveler's Wife (On Tracy's perfume; lemon tea)

It was no longer sweet and enamored. It was the scent that greeted him every day when he arrived home from the job that he reviled, to the squalor of a house that he had barely the income to acquire or the time, energy or the basic want to improve. It was the scent the grounded him; that earthed him from his fanciful thoughts; that never let him escape for long enough to imagine a better way to live or another way out. It was the scent that greeted him every morning with tired scorn, as moping heads narrowly missed one another, shuffling about and banging cupboards unnecessarily. It was the scent that wafted by as he struggled to piss, staring in the mirror and practicing how to smile, wink and nod; and seeing what it looked like when he said things like 'I love you', 'I don't have the time' and 'No it's ok, i don't mind coming back'. It was the scent of age and confusion, looking at himself in the mirror, still expecting to see a young man but finding only the deep set lines of remorse chiseled into his sunken face, as if, in the times between struggling to piss in the morning, and in the evening, feigning to fall asleep, his soul were being hollowed out and his body, caving in on itself.

Thought

A flurry of ideas whizzing about for the next FreeArt story -
The Hunter (.....through the multiverse and out the other side)
and the short story The Time Traveler's Wife.

This story will be inspired by the album 'Demon' by Gazpacho and the book Codex Seraphinianus.

For now, as the vile and depressive dark matter bewteen writing every story consumes me, I return to my reclusion and to my family.

More to come, when i have no choice but to tell it.

Reflections

From the vaults......

RELFECTIONS:

A young man stares into his reflection,
And sees an old man looking back.
Where did the time go, he wonders?
And how did we ever lose track?
Is this the same person?
That amounts to wondrous things?
How long did we spend dreaming?
Is this reflection really as it seems?
Who are you old man?
I’ve seen you in times before.
Is this, the face that greets me?
The mask I always wore?
The young man drops his stare,
And moves towards the door.
The boy he thought he was,
He can recognize no more.

Support Independant Artists

PATREON is a new website community where indepedant artists launch thier projects and goals (in my case, to perpetually not go without food on the table for my kids) and you, the user and lover of content, can some some back to us creators.

Vistit My Page Below:

http://www.patreon.com/cseanmcgee

I write consistent and release novels faster that any 'signed' writer. As i continue on my goal to teach, foster, educate and give culture to my Demon, telling story after story until this mass with my subconscious, this dark matter within my soul, matures into a Devil. As with it, within me, instructing an angel on how to be a God. To do this, i have hundreds of stories that need to be told. And until i am dead, i will continue to tell them.

And hopefully, you can help me by not just giving me money, but by supporting my art, because support is not just saying, "I like this or i like that", its not about clicking like or share or telling someone to buy something while you download it yourself, it's about getting off your arse and getting away form youtube and actually seeing a live band.

It's about buying the cd and buying the t-shirt and buying the book. Support is just that. It's not an idea. It's not a fad. It's not a fucking trend or hashtag. It's just buying some cool shit - liking it, hating it whatever, but buying it, so independant artists can keep on being independant (and paradoxially dependant). Thanks.

The Anarchist is RELEASED !!

The Anarchist (or about how everything i own is covered in a fine red dust)
is released !!!!!!

On the night of 'The March', The Teacher will find himself, in the most profound and liberating test of his ideals. Part philosophical and politcal satire, and part gut wrenching horror, The Anarchist, proving once again that C.SeanMcGee is to be found neither on the left nor the right of traditional and scholared ideology, points an ironic, poignant and articuate finger at idealism and its literal implications.
