Indie Project Announcement: Pennywise – The Story of IT
Hello, Everyone!
I am so excited to announce a new project that is taking place on Indigogo! This project is a documentary called “Pennywise: The Story of IT” and it is a documentary exploring the making of “Stephen King’s IT” and the legacy that it has left. The documentary also chronicles Tim Curry and celebrates him as an actor.
Now, if you can’t tell already, I am a HUGE fan of Tim Curry and Pennywise. Pennywise is my favorite horror villain of all time, and I was so excited when I saw that this documentary was being created! However, the funding for the film relies on donations from Indigogo, and preorders are available on the DVD, Blu-ray, and accessories such as T-shirts and pins. Even though the campaign did meet their monetary needs, there are a few DVDs and Blu-rays left to be picked up! However, most of the items are already sold out.
If you are a huge fan of “Stephen King’s It” like I am, then this documentary is a must have! It is also a great indie project to support, and that is something I am very passionate about.
There are only 3 hours left until the campaign ends, so make sure you get your orders in now!

Book Review: Loving Vivienne by Christina George
Title: Loving Vivienne
Author: Christina George
Rating: 3/5
Synopsis:
What happens when you fall in love with a man you can never have?
Vivienne has it all, a successful writing career, a hit movie, a life most women dream of. The only thing missing is someone to share it with. So when a handsome, successful doctor saves her from near death, Vivienne is certain she’s finally met the man of her dreams… Until she discovers who he is… or rather who his father is. The man who single-handedly tore apart her brother’s life. Can she put the past behind her? Will she choose family over love? Or will she lose the man she feels destined to be with?
Review:
Loving Vivienne is a roller coaster of a romance that features a strong female lead with a haunted past. The novel follows the “forbidden romance plot”, and while this storyline is commonly used in the romance genre, author Christina George made it her own by creating vivid characters with a tantalizing plot.
I always love a thrilling plot to pair with my romance fetish, so I was so excited when I was sent this novel to review. Loving Vivienne is a bit of a modern-day Romeo and Juliet story, but the stakes are much higher. The thrill of this forbidden romance pulled me from page to page, and I enjoyed the vivid plot. George made sure not to add too much filler to her novel, and I appreciated that. Strong plots such as that in Loving Vivienne are hard for me to find in many romance novels.
Loving Vivienne follows a successful author, Vivienne, who has everything that she ever wanted except for someone to love. However, she ends up falling in love with a doctor who saved her life, only to find that he is the son of a man whom she can’t stand. The novel follows Vivienne as she struggles with her family, her past, and her needs and wants. Vivienne is a multi-faceted character who I related to on a deep level. George made sure to bring her characters to life with human flaws, and I appreciated seeing that in a romance novel. None of her characters were too perfect.
My only critique is that sometimes the descriptions of the scenes and characters were overdone, and I felt myself skipping some sentences. This detracted from some parts of the story, but I found the plot irresistible nonetheless.
If you are a fan of thrilling, high-speed romances, then Loving Vivienne should be the next book on your to be read list!

I received the June Once Upon A Book Club, and I couldn’t wait to dig in! I love the concept of this box, and I have enjoyed the boxes that I have received from them before.
Once Upon A Book Club comes in a gorgeous, custom box! I love how the box is designed to look like a book, and it creates an immersive experience.
Upon opening the box, you can see how the items are carefully packaged in newspaper shavings! I love this bookish touch.
The first note that I pulled out of the box was this note reminding me not to open the gifts until I reach the page number that is indicated on them. This makes sure that you get the most out of the reading and box opening experience!
The box also comes with this pamphlet that lists the live book discussion dates that Once Upon A Bookclub holds each month! The pamphlet lists different book question discussions that coordinate with the monthly book, and they invite the subscriber to hop on Instagram or Facebook to take part in the bookish discussion! I love book club boxes, so I think that this part of Once Upon A Book Club is awesome.
This month’s book choice is Love and Gravity by Samantha Sotto!
Here Is The Synopsis:
In this unforgettable novel for fans of One Day and The Time Traveler’s Wife, a young Isaac Newton falls in love with a girl living in modern-day San Francisco, defying the laws of physics to forge a seemingly impossible connection.
“Thoughtful, magical, and alive with romantic alchemy, Love and Gravity is a rare gem of a book, both intellectual and beautiful.”—New York Times bestselling author Sarah Addison Allen
Andrea Louviere is seven years old the first time he appears. While she’s alone in her bedroom, practicing her beloved cello, the light shivers and a crack forms in the wall. Through the crack, she sees a candle, a window, a desk—and a boy. In the eerie silence, the boy clearly sees Andrea too. Then, as quickly as it opened, the crack closes and he vanishes.
Over the years, summoning the boy becomes an obsession for Andrea. On her seventeenth birthday, she receives a three-hundred-year-old love letter from Isaac Newton. Andrea knows that Isaac will change the world with his groundbreaking discoveries; the letter tells Andrea that she will change him.
As Isaac’s letters intensify in passion and intimacy, Andrea grows determined to follow his clues to their shared destiny—despite a burgeoning romance in the present. Only when she discovers the way into Isaac’s time does Andrea realize that she faces a heartbreaking decision between what was . . . and what might be.
I had never heard of this book before, so I was very excited to receive it in this box!
The box always comes with an art print, and this month’s art print says:
“What was before is left behind, what never was is now” ~Ovid
I love the space print that goes with this art print, and the quote goes well with the book!
Before I Start Reviewing The Items, I Just Want To Note That I Did Read The Book And Open The Items In The Sequence That They Were Meant To Be Opened In.
This gave me the full experience of the box, and I loved how the items were literally pulled from the book!
The first item is meant to be opened on the 26th page of the book! On this page, there is a specific quote that goes with the item:
“Diane fiddled with Andrea’s curls, her forehead scrunched as though the fate of the world depended on her successfully taming Andrea’s hair under a wreath of pink silk flowers.”
This flower crown matches the quote from the book perfectly, AND it is great to wear in the summer! I love how elegant it is.
[image error] [image error]
The next item is in an envelope that is sealed with a wax seal. This item is meant to be opened on page 61! I love how antique the envelope is, and the wax seal is a nice touch.
The letter inside the envelope is double sided, and the first side goes with this quote from the book:
“Andrea set the phone down and reached for Mr. Westin’s delivery. Tuna jumped onto the bed and planted all her eleven and a half pounds over the wax-sealed note. Andrea tugged the letter from beneath Tuna’s hind leg. Red wax scattered over her lilac duvet. Andrea cracked the brittle seal and unfolded the letter. The edge of its first page was torn, as though it had been ripped from a notebook. It contained a single word written in brown-black ink.
Name?”
The back of the letter is also connected to this scene in the novel:
“A line scribbled across the top of its second page screamed a plea.
Andrea, stop. Pray, take a breath. I swear to you, this is real. I am the boy behind the wall and you are the girl behind mine. Do not cast my words away.
You are seventeen and the time has come at last to tell you how everything began, how I came to love you above all else, and how you will come to love me.”
I like how this letter is taken straight from the book, to the last detail. I am amazed at the care the owners of Once Upon A Book Club have put into this item. It really made the reading experience come to life!
The next item is meant to be opened on page 81! Here is the quote that goes with this item:
“Andrea peeked inside. A local handcrafted silver-and-glass-beaded bracelet caught the sun.”
This bracelet is gorgeous, and I love how the bracelet can be used outside of the reading experience!
The next item is pulled from page 119!
This item is a watch with a gorgeous space print face, and an engraved saying on the back that says “For Isaac, Love, Andrea” with the infinity symbol!
Here is the excerpt that goes with the item:
“Isaac slipped the watch off his wrist and displayed its back. Two entwined rings, the symbol for infinitiy, were etched on the stainless steel. Isaac thrust the watch closer to the crack. Andrea leaned forward and learned the engraving’s secret. The infinity symbol was not make up of circles, but two loops of tiny, delicate words.
For Isaac. Love, Andrea”
This is by far my favorite item from the box, and I am amazed by the details that are included on the watch from the book!
The last item is pulled from page 315 in the book. Here is the connected excerpt:
“‘He gave it to me.’ He unfolded the handkerchief. The name of the church they were sitting in, along with a date and time, were scribbled in the middle of the cloth. ‘That’s how I knew you’d be here.’
Andrea stared at the familiar, miniscule handwriting on the handkerchief. ‘Who gave this to you?’
‘The same man who gave me this.’ Nate slipped his pendant out from behind the collar of his shirt. It gleamed like a mirror in the sun.”
Again, I love how careful the packaging is with this item, and the details are outstanding! I don’t know how Once Upon A Book Club is able to create such specific items each month. They are amazing.
Final Thought: I am in love with Once Upon A Book Club! They never cease to amaze me with the detailed items that they include, and the reading experience that they bring. Once Upon A Book Club really does bring books to life, and they are so unique! You can’t find anything like this anywhere else, and I love that part of the box experience.

Tokyo Trove comes in a small, turquoise box with the logo stamped on the front of it! I like how compact the box is.
The contents of the box come tightly packed so that none of the items shift around during shipping. The only thing that I wish this box came with is an insert card because I would have liked to know more about the items.
The first item that I pulled out of the box is this adorable Vaporeon Pokemon plush! I am a huge Pokemon lover, so I squealed when I saw this plush. It is very high quality, and I am in love with it!
The next item is also based on Pokemon! It is a sticker that represents the Exeggutor Pokemon. This sticker is adorable, and I love it! Anything from Pokemon is a win with me.
The next item is this cute cat pin! I love the kawaii style of the pen, and it writes really well. I am such a cat lady, so this pen is very fitting.
The next item is this small pack of Japanese candies! They taste sweet and milky, almost like caramel, and I think they are delicious. I love how cute Japanese candy is, so I enjoyed trying this snack out.
The next item is also a snack, and it is a stick of Japanese jerky! This jerky was delicious, and it had such a rich flavor.
The last item is a Japanese t-shirt with a fish that is holding up a gun. I have seen this art on other products, and I think that it is cute! I really like the Japanese style.
Final Thought: Tokyo Trove is an adorable box for those who love Japanese products! I enjoyed each item in the box, and they are all useful to me. However, I would have liked to have seen an insert list so that I could learn more about the items that were sent. But other than that, Tokyo Trove is a great box for lovers of Japanese culture!

May’s theme was “Wanderlust” so I couldn’t wait to try this box!
Sherbert Box comes in a small, letter size box. I love how compact the packaging is! The box is sealed with a sticker that has the Sherbert Box hashtag on it.
Since this box came at the end of May, it came with a June calendar page! I love how this calendar page is specifically designed for the box to go with the “Wanderlust” theme. The illustrations are adorable!
The next items came in a small gift bag. They included some travel inspired washi tape, an eraser, and a small paper suitcase with map pins in it! I love the careful detailing on the paper suitcase. I also love putting pins on a map to mark where I have traveled to, so the pins will be put to great use. The vintage feel of the washi tape is also my favorite!
The next items are greeting cards that have travel designs on them! The artwork is so cute, and I can’t wait to mail these. I love how all three cards represent a different form of travel.
The next item is a notebook that is designed with travel illustrations! I love how cute the artwork is. The inside of the notebook is dotted like graph paper. I love using this type of paper for artwork, so I have already started to use the notebook!
The next items are an art print, a set of stationary paper, and some stickers! I love the art on the art print and how it represents May’s theme. The simple design of the stationary is very classy, and the stickers are so well made!

I received the April 2017 The Bookworm Box to review, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this box!
The Bookworm Box comes in a purple box with the adorable logo on the top!
Upon opening the box, you are greeted with a letter from the owner of the box – Colleen Hoover! The letter focuses on changes that are coming to the box, as well as a charitable update. I love how all of the profit from this box goes to charity.
The first item included in the box is a tea towel with The Bookworm Box’s logo on it! I have to admit, it took me a long time to figure out what this was since it was just simple canvas. But once I found out that it is a tea towel, I was excited to put it in my kitchen!
The next item is a pen with The Bookworm Box’s logo on it! I can never have enough pens, so I will be putting this to great use.
The last accessory is a magnet featuring The Bookworm Box’s logo. I love the worm in the logo, so I can’t wait to put this on my fridge!
This box also came with bonus bookmarks featuring romance authors and their books! There is also a postcard featuring the “Smart Girls Read Books” movement. I am a big fan of this movement to remove the stigma from women who love to read romance novels, so I love that The Bookworm Box supports it.
The first book included in the April box is Emerge by S.E. Hall. This novel is a new adult romance, and it is signed by the author!
Here Is The Synopsis:
“You never have to be without me, Laney, never.”
He lied…my everything I ever knew, trusted, wanted…I am, in fact, without him.
On my own and out of my shell, I learn new things about life, friendship, and…myself.
Like what you’ve always known may not be what you’ve always wanted.
Dane Kendrick awakened things within me that I never knew existed, unraveling and uncovering the real Laney Jo Walker.
I’m a NEW adult…so is my story.
Emerge sounds like an intense romance novel, and I can’t wait to read it! New adult romances are some of my favorites.
The last item in the box is the book Tapping the Billionaire by Max Monroe! This novel is a humorous romance, and I can’t wait to read it. It looks so different from any other romance novel I have read! And of course, it is signed by the author.
Here Is The Synopsis:
A secret duo of romance authors team up under the New York Times & USA Today Bestselling pseudonym Max Monroe to bring you a sexy, laugh-out-loud new series. Are you ready to meet the Billionaire Bad Boys?
Blind dates? Online dating profiles? Been there, done that.
Georgia Cummings has zero luck with dating, and the era of the internet is not her friend.
No matter how fast she runs, how many corners she turns, she can’t find her way out of this weird, alternate universe where men think d*ck pics are a replacement for small talk and getting to know a girl. One more crotch selfie and she might write men off for good…
But why can’t she stop fantasizing about him?
Kline Brooks is the quintessential billionaire bad boy—dark, styled, short hair, muscles for days, and a panty-dropping smile.
Except—he isn’t.
As his employee, he won’t touch her with a ten-foot pole.
But she won’t touch him either.
Too bad their hormones missed the memo.
Disclaimer:
If you’re the type of woman who prefers crotch selfies to small talk, this book isn’t for you.
If you enjoy random men you’ve never met filling up your inbox with dirty words and p*rn—for reasons focused more towards diddling your donut than laughing at the absurdity—this book isn’t for you.
If you HATE laughing, this book isn’t for you.
If you want your male leads to grunt, thrust like jack rabbits, and have one-track minds that prefer a nice pair of t*ts to brains every hour of every day for the rest of forever, well, then, this book still isn’t for you.
But.
If you enjoy a good swoon, a hearty laugh, witty banter, and some hot as f*@% f*@%ing, then consider Georgia Cummings your Girl Friday and Kline Brooks your next irresistible book boyfriend.
Final Thought: The Bookworm Box is a great box to give back to society, while also satisfying your romance novel fix! Even though some of the bonus items can be repeats due to the random nature of the box, The Bookworm Box is a great way to receive signed romance novels that you are sure to love. I love the mission of this box, and I highly suggest it! If you are like me and need a little sexy time now and then, The Bookworm Box has got you covered

May’s theme was “Game of Thrones”!
As a huge fan of Game of Thrones, I couldn’t wait to receive this box! Game of Thrones is life.
Enchanted Book Box comes in an adorable white box with the logo on the top! I love how ethereal the box design is. It goes well with the concept of the box!
Upon opening the box, the first thing that you see is a Game of Thrones style letter with a wax seal! The wax seal has the Stark House Sigil imprinted into it. I love this little detail!
Here is a closer look at the gorgeous wax seal!
The letter itself lists everything included in the box. This is such a unique way to design the content card for this box! I love how the owner of the box kept with the Game of Thrones theme through even the smallest details. The quote at the beginning of the letter is one of my favorites and something I live by.
The quote says:
“Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.”
The first item on the list is the chosen book of the month! This month’s book choice is Royal Bastards by Andrew Shvarts.
Here is the synopsis:
Being a bastard blows. Tilla would know. Her father, Lord Kent of the Western Province, loved her as a child, but cast her aside as soon as he had trueborn children.
At sixteen, Tilla spends her days exploring long-forgotten tunnels beneath the castle with her stablehand half brother, Jax, and her nights drinking with the servants, passing out on Jax’s floor while her castle bedroom collects dust. Tilla secretly longs to sit by her father’s side, enjoying feasts with the rest of the family. Instead, she sits with the other bastards, like Miles of House Hampstedt , an awkward scholar who’s been in love with Tilla since they were children.
Then, at a feast honoring the visiting princess Lyriana, the royal shocks everyone by choosing to sit at the Bastards’ Table. Before she knows it, Tilla is leading the sheltered princess on a late-night escapade. Along with Jax, Miles, and fellow bastard Zell, a Zitochi warrior from the north, they stumble upon a crime they were never meant to witness.
Rebellion is brewing in the west, and a brutal coup leaves Lyriana’s uncle, the Royal Archmagus, dead–with Lyriana next on the list. The group flees for their lives, relentlessly pursued by murderous mercenaries; their own parents have put a price on their heads to prevent the king and his powerful Royal Mages from discovering their treachery.
The bastards band together, realizing they alone have the power to prevent a civil war that will tear their kingdom apart-if they can warn the king in time. And if they can survive the journey . . .
Based on the synopsis, I think that this is a great book to pair with the Game of Thrones box! I am very excited to read it.
The next item is a Mother of Dragons bookmark from Jessicascissorhands on Etsy! This bookmark is beautiful and I love the watercolor design of it. It is based on my favorite Game of Thrones character, Daenerys, and I will be putting it to great use!
The next item is this Game of Thrones tea from LoSkeeverAmmiccante! I am obsessed with tea, so I was so excited to receive this tea in the box. It smells delicious!
The next item is this Sansa’s Lemon Cakes Lip Balm by NerdieNifties! This lip balm is extremely moisturizing, and I love how it smells like lemon meringue pie. It also has such a neat connection to Game of Thrones!
[image error] [image error]
The next item is this King’s Landing candle by Flickering Tales Candles! The candle smells spicy with a hint of the ocean, and I love it. It sets the perfect scene for Game of Thrones!
The next item is my favorite item in the box! It is an authentic Quellon Greyjoy Half-Penny from Shire Post Mint. This coin looks like it came right out of Game of Thrones, and I love the description that goes with it. It really makes the story come to life!
[image error] [image error]
The next item is a Collector Card from Mystic Moon Media! I received Daenerys, my favorite character, so I was very excited. The artwork is beautiful, and I have already put it on my bookshelf!
The next item is a Game of Thrones Coloring Book by Sweetgeek on Etsy! This coloring book is compact, and I love how it highlights different characters from the series.
Here is an example of Jon Snow from the coloring book! I love the quote that is on his page.
The next item is this pin from Geektastic Creations! The pin reads “that’s what I do. I drink and I know things”. This quote is reminiscent of Tyrion Lannister, one of my other favorite characters, so I was so happy to see that he was included!
The last item is this “Dracarys” bookmark from Paperback Paramour! The term “Dracarys” is what Daenerys uses to encourage her dragons to breathe fire.
Here is the back of the bookmark! I think that the artwork is beautiful.
Final Thought: Enchanted Book Box is fantastic! Even though it is more expensive than other book boxes, it comes with so much more. They really put a lot of effort into making this Game of Thrones box magical, and I adore everything that was included. This is one of the best YA boxes that I have tried, and I highly recommend it! The passion that goes into the box really shows. Go ahead and give Enchanted Book Box a try! You won’t be disappointed.
