Meet Stanton McMillian Overton from Symphony of Light and Winter

From Symphony of Light and Winter – Linden and Overton

“But you get your dominant traits from the priest, right?”

“Yes. You know it’s odd to have convictions, but not all the memories to support them. A lot like how people describe carrying things from one life to another. No explanations, but strong feelings. Why do people fear spiders when they’ve never been bitten by one? My life has a lot of irrational convictions. The priest is strong in me. I find myself abstaining from things I have no m...

Meet Linden from Symphony of Light and Winter

“My brilliant copper-red hair was inspired by a documentary on South American tree frogs. Their vibrant cloaking cautioned predators to stay away. Fearing I had something in common with the frogs, I broadcast my own warning. Our secret? Venom. Waking next to a corpse on my honeymoon had been a pretty big omen. I could take a hint.”

I finished the final review this evening and we are only three days away from the launch of Symphony of Light and Winter. Now to find a passage that’s acceptable for me to read in public at Barnes and Noble on Friday. Now there’schallenge. :)

For those of you in Pittsburgh, I hope to see you there Friday. For everyone else, I’d love to have you pop in online at my Facebook event throughout the day on Saturday for fun and festivities.

Meet Cyril from Symphony of Light and Winter

Meet Cyril from Symphony of Light and Winter

“The things I have been called over the ages are practically endless. Reaper, soul weaver, vampire, sorcerer, angel, and demon—you name it, but none of them are accurate. They are human fantasies created to cause fear and explain the unknown. Those who know what I am call me the Maker.”

- Cyril

Joan Conning Afman – This week’s author profile on ReneaMason.com

Who is Joan Conning Afman?

I am a former art teacher–K-12 in Hartford, CT; retired to Florida and taught for 7 years as an adjunct at Northwood University in West Palm. I could have gone either way–journalism or art, but I fell in love with art at an early age (when I used to skip Girl Scouts and visit the museum across the street!), so that was my career choice. My mother, an English teacher, used to tell me, “But–I think you could write!”–and so in retirement, I met the right people, got co...
