When You Don’t Know What to Do in Life

Confused About What You Should Do With Your Life?Don’t know what you want to do in life?

Can you feel the pressure of needing to know?

It doesn’t matter whetheryou’re 23, or 65, we all seem to feel that we need to know where we’re going.

I get emails from people all over the world.

And it has become clear to me that we all struggle with the same uncertainty.

No one truly knows where they’re going.

But then you might say: “Okay, Henri. That’s fine. But I don’t even know where to start.”

Thegood news is that you don’t have to know where to s...

Living a Great Life Doesn’t Always Include Fame, Wealth, or Power

Fame Isn't EverythingWhen you imagine living a great life, what do you see?

Do you imaginehaving the perfect partner, unlimited wealth, or sittingon a beach with white, pristine sand?

We often picture something that we think would make us happy.

Something that would solve our problems.

In my case, the perceived solution was wealth.

I believed that if I could just make enoughmoney, I’d be secure, and then I’d be able to do what I wanted.

This was before I started Wake Up Cloud.

I was waiting to have enough, so I...

When You Feel Confused About Life

Man with his head melting into tangled linesI often receive emails that go something like this:

“Henri, I’m confused about my direction in life. I don’t know where to start, or what my passion is.”

If there’s anything I’ve noticed in my life, it’s that confusion is a given.

Even though I’m doing what I love, I experience confusion.

The good news is that the confusion is normal.

The bad news is that our mind’s want to get rid of the confusion, which only makes it worse.

There’s nothing you have to do about being confused. Simply let it...

Why You Can’t Logically Figure Out Your Passion

You can't logically figure out your passion or purposeI’ve been helping people find and follow their passion since 2009.

And I’ve been on this path myself for my whole adult life.

What I’ve begun to see is that you can’t logically force your passion to reveal itself.

It’s a process of unfolding, discovering, and letting go.

We’re all born with a specific set of strengths.

We each view the world in a slightly different way, which means that we contribute to it in our unique way.

But we grow up around people that tell us what we can do, and what...

When You Don’t Have Time to Follow Your Passion

No Time to Follow Your Passion?Sometimes people come to me with a laundry list of excuses.

One of the main ones is:“Henri, I can’t follow my passion because I have kids and a job. I’m not like you. I don’t have enough time.”

But time is never the problem.

You can always use whatever time you have to explore and follow what makes you come alive.

Even if you only have fiveminutes, you can use that timeto listen to an audiobook, read a book, take a course, or explore your interests.

Just because you can’t do much doesn’t mea...

Doing What You Love Isn’t Always Fun

Doing what you love isn't always funThere’s a fantasy floating out there.

Perhaps you’ve heard of it?

It’s that when you find your passion, or do what you love, you won’t have problems anymore.

When an obstacle lands on your path, you’ll fly over it on your shiny unicorn, and all will be well.

But reality is quitedifferent.

Because you see, even when you’re doing what you love, you’re still living life, and life is a mixed bag.

The consequences

If you believe that everything should be perfect when youfind your passion, you may...

What I Wish People Knew About Starting a Business

Business Man Standing in Front of ArrowsWhen I was starting my online business, I worried about things that didn’t matter.

I got stuck in the details.

It was only by taking action that I learned what mattered, and what didn’t.

I see this happening with clients, and members in the Academy.

People get stuck on trivial things.

They want absolute clarity before moving forward, but clarity doesn’t come until you move forward.

You uncover your path as you take action. You cannot figure thingsout before you start.

We think we know what m...

When You Feel Like Nothing is Happening

Nothing Happening in Life - Hands TiedThere are times when I feel like nothing is happening.

In fact, I’m in one of those times right now.

I don’t feel inspired to do much. I don’t feel like writing. I don’t have ideas for books.

I don’t know what to do, or what’s coming.

But I know that something is building up. It always is.

Just because I feel like nothing is happening doesn’t make it so.

Life is always changing. There is always something going on.

I used to resist these times

And to be honest, I still sometimes do.

But the resistance...
