Italy: Holidaying in Lake Como

Last month we flew out to Milan, though Milan wasn't our final destination for this trip. This time round we were in Italy for a holiday in Lake Como. Zoo Nights, ZSL London Zoo

It's the second time we've been to ZSL London Zoo's Zoo Nights, which has been called a few different names over the years (on our last trip back in 2015, it was called Sunset Safari). What happened:
It was HOT! June was (mostly) glorious in London, albeit sometimes absolutely awful with the lack of breeze and high temperatures. But, the heatwave coincided with me finishing up my freelance work in Tunbridge Wells, which meant a week of tanning and relaxing at home. Wonderful!

Belgium: Where to eat in Brussels

Definitely one of the best things about Brussels is that we found awesome restaurants for every meal. Which is pretty good going since there's usually one or two duffs you end up visiting where you can't understand why those places have been rated so highly on TripAdvisor. What happened:
This month feels like I've been super busy, but I can't really pinpoint why! I'm still freelancing in Tunbridge Wells, and other than that all I can recall of note is that I went to see The Addams Family musical at the New Wimbledon Theatre. Cameron Blakeley (Gomez) was definitely the star of the show, Carrie Hope Fletcher (Wednesday) had the best voice, and Les Dennis (Uncle Fester) was a delight. Belgium: Bruges

If you asked me whether you should go to Brussels or Bruges, and you only had time to visit one, I would pick Bruges. Hands down. Why? Because it is so ridiculously pretty. Seriously. It is the prettiest town EVER, and because it's smaller than Brussels, it seems even more concentrated with prettiness.

A city break in Belgium

For my birthday this year, we headed to Belgium. Arriving Wednesday lunchtime and leaving on Friday evening, we had more than enough time to get a feel for Brussels and Bruges - including Belgium's very mixed weather.
