I love how my timeline every morning is filled with tweets about how you’re all late with assessments or forgot about a test today or “I just decided I’m very ill”.
When I went to school I was a master at all of them.

Story Behind ‘Insanity’

I believe that the mind is...

Story Behind ‘Insanity’

I believe that the mind is more powerful than we people actually can understand. I believe that when you’re sick, the healing is 70% in your head, in wanting to heal. I believe that the problems we deal with, the mistakes we do, our strengths and weaknesses are all controlled and born from something inside our minds. Something we don’t even know about. I also believe that some people choose to not go too deep into themselves, and some people go way too deep without noticing it. Until they almost can’t get out.

When I was younger I wasn’t into books, stories and fiction. I couldn’t understand the point in spending your time reading about things that aren’t real. But then I grew a bit older, I moved to London and things changed - and I was scared. I was scared and I couldn’t understand things that other people seemed to just naturally accept. I couldn’t find a way to live that was accepted in other people’s eyes. Well, I couldn’t find a way to be on the outside, so I turned inside. I stumbled upon books, and movies, and stories, and I was hooked. It was as if I was entering a completely different universe.  I completely forgot about the world out there, the city and all the things I have to be, and just got lost in the words. Days went by where I just laid on my floor, reading book after book. It was an escapism. I discovered how I could get away from the world and my own existence, and suddenly live in this other world, in someone else’s head, maybe years and continents away from here. I spent weeks like this, reading book after book, and I wrote story after story about my own imaginary world in my head.

You know the feeling when you’ve been watching a tv-show for too long, or when you get into a movie too much. After a while you start coming up with scenarios where you know this person, or when you are this person, and when you are living in that world. Well, that’s what happened with me. I read so many stories and created so many stories, that I slowly started to forget about reality and thought myself into those fictional worlds. I realized how I could take my own real life, the real reality, and turn it into something better, something more exciting, more magical. More alive and less… real. Now, it’s a dangerous thing, living in your head. You can ignore the reality for a while, but unfortunately it’s always gonna be out there, waiting for you. But just for those hours when I read, write, sing or create, the world doesn’t exist. The world has stopped. The only thing that exists is my universe, where everything is exactly the way I want it to be.

But after a while you even forget that you are in your head, and it wasn’t until I had recorded the song “Insanity” and showed it to my friends that I realized how insane I’d become. They just looked at me and said “If everyone is that weird in Sweden, I’m never going there”.

pure-outdoors:

This shows just how wise and strong the glass child is. People like this are a rarity in modern life. And we should not be putting them down but giving them support and love. Because they are not afraid to live how they truly want to.

Support my friend here because she is my Inspiration, my idol and she is awesome :-)

Thank you so so much to the moon and back :)
