Sandy Hook's First Anniversary

The first Anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy is upon us. Indeed, it was a year ago, on December 14, 2012, that our nation faced one of the deadliest school shootings in history. Sadly, this was not the first tragedy. What makes the Newtown events so tragic is how young the majority of the victims were. I hope and pray that we will never see another Sandy Hook!

Site Launch

My personal author site www.oumardieng.com is now live. I write and speak about effective ways to overcome life's obstacles and lead a happy productive life. I also provide coaching for individuals and groups alike on goal setting, parenting, motivational themes and self publishing.

Book Expo/Signing

I am happy to announce that I will be exhibiting at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds on Saturday, October 12, 2013.

What inspired 26 Angels?

I was inspired by Ann Curry’s tweet that challenged all of us to do “20 acts of kindness” to honor each child lost in Connecticut. Drawing from my personal experiences around loss, I remembered how helpful it was to have “the village”, those who love and care about us, come together to help in the healing process. The “26 Angels Book” project was born in memory of the #26Angels (26 lives) lost that day at Sandy Hook. This was one way for me to do something, I hope, will have a meaningful impact.
