In my idea of heaven, John and Mummy Holmes get “absolutely monstrous” together.

That’s the inside of the actual church. NOT speculating ANYTHING, but… do you guys think that there’s a deleted scene of the wedding??
Think about it… there might be a scene floating around somewhere of Sherlock looking even sadder than he already does.
I’m not going to get excited about this, because it’s just everyone relaxing before filming, and possibly is just them waiting to film the “opening doors scene”. But it’s something to think about…!
Hmm. Yes. this is curious. As has been noted before, it’s quite telling that they had an episode about John Watson’s wedding and we never SEE him get married, we only see the reception (which is mostly about Sherlock’s best man speech and the Mayfly man) and the photos outside.
This photo implies that they did actually shoot the wedding but decided not to include it. Story wise, this tells us that what is important about the wedding is how it affects John and Sherlock’s relationship and Sherlock’s understanding of it. Everything the writer’s want us to know about that was relayed from the reception so the wedding scene was redundant.

Question about A River Without Banks
However, I just got through hours of listening to the chapters called "The Ghost" where Mary is lovely and understanding and besties with Sherlock, John stays with her and they have a cute baby. Sherlock, meanwhile, is tortured and ends up alone and worse. SO. I know Chryse says there will be a 'happy ending' of johnlock eventually, but my question is, after The Ghost is there more perky/bestie Mary in future chapters? Because honestly, it goes so against my head canon of who she is as a character that I just can't take it. This fic is uber long and I'd just as soon skip any sections with bestie, good-intentioned Mary and get to the part where she is the cold-hearted villain or isn't there at all. So if anyone can advise me if I need to skip "The Blue-eyed stranger" or "The Lad That Loves You" chapters and go all the way to the end or not, I would so so appreciate it!
