Your Favorite Character, Client, or Villain in the Liquid Cool Universe…so far
Red Rabbit, Blade Gunner, NeuroDancer, the Ripper, Ichi Jumper, Venn Diagram, Classic Cyborg, the Electric Lady, Mr. Viper, Mr. T., and the list goes on. Those may be clients and villains, but there are also the Cruz regulars like Phishy, P.J., China Doll, the Wans, Run-Time, and Cruz Jr.! With any good series, the richness of the world is not only the main characters but all the recurring ones and the ones we meet–good, bad, and in-between–for a time in one of Cruz’s many crazy cases. (Was there really a guy named Jabba the Butt?) Who knew being a street detective in the future, supercity of Metropolis could be so dangerous and so much fun? That's why we like this sci-fi detective thriller series. It's cyberpunk reimagined, or cyber-noir–with lots of action and laughs!

Cover Reveals – Liquid Cool 2019!
Grab your laser pistols because I finished writing the last of the Liquid Cool novels for my 2019 Blitz. Wait. Didn’t I say in my last blog post on May 3rd that I was done writing? Well, I was, but then I decided to write one more for my Kindle Unlimited Liquid Cool “Crazy Maniac Files” mini-series. I didn’t want the first novel of the mini-series to be so lonely.

Writing Updates: Liquid Cool
You may have noticed I’ve been a bit quiet lately in terms of blogging or emails. The simple reason for that is I’ve been writing up a storm. So today I’ve decided to give you writing updates since I’m now on a roll.
One down! Yes, I completed Liquid Cool, Book #7. This Liquid Cool novel was initially a struggle for me because it seemed like it was going to be quite gloomy following Book 6, A.I. Confidential. For fans, that really wouldn’t do. Liquid Cool must have its humor too. It’s a sci-fi detective with lots of action and laughs. Once I figured that out, the novel just flowed. The only thing somber about the novel is its title, but by the end you find out the meaning, which is every bit as upbeat as Phishy doing his chicken dance.
What’s this next Liquid Cool novel about?

Liquid Cool 2019
In 2015, when I introduced readers to the rainy, Blade Runner-ish world of Liquid Cool it was the tonal reverse of my first sci-fi series, After Eden. Both series are dystopian sci-fi but where After Eden was the events and people leading to WW III 75 years in the future (very somber and certainly not funny), Liquid Cool is a brisk, sci-fi detective thriller with lots of action and laughs too.
Back when I was getting the debut novel ready, I released a prequel short, These Mean Streets, Darkly, but I got plenty of “okay, but I want to read the first novel now” and “love it but where’s the rest of the story!” The debut novel Liquid Cool (Book One) came out in 2016. Incredibly in 2017, I released six Liquid Cool novels all in the same year. Last year, I launched my first Liquid Cool Kindle Unlimited installment with the title, Classic Cyborg.
With the first six main novels, we got to see our protagonist evolve from hovercar restorer and laborer to a full-fledged Metropolis street detective taking down plenty of bad guys with some intriguing and scary names. Yes, he got shot at too many times to count and shot for real and put in the hospitals, chased by robot Dobermans, and even had a robot cat try to devour his hand, but our “famous detective” is still standing strong.
We also got to meet all the “players” of the Cruz’s world: PJ (Punch Judy), Dot (China Doll), Run-Time, Phishy, and more. Cruz even got to meet his “posthumous” mentor in real life! We don’t only get to see Cruz close cases but get to ride along in his life’s adventures–marriage, first kid, and the Hell Spawn (his parents’ in law)–all while building his Liquid Cool Detective Agency reputation over one novella, seven novels and three years of his life.
However, unlike my other series, Liquid Cool has no end. We move from one big case to another to solve. These past six main books had a definite arc for Cruz. He is the professional and no longer the amateur or newbie. But what now? How many “save the world” cases can one street detective get in Metropolis? Well these big cases will continue to follow him like metal to a magnet, so the answer is: as long as he’s breathing! And that’s what we want.
For 2019, you’re going to get three Liquid Cool novels (cases). Book 7 will involve the future’s version of the United Nations, Book 8 will be on the moon (you’re going to LOVE the title) and Book 9 will be a cozy murder mystery Liquid Cool style.
Since I know we have a lot of Liquid Cool fans so as I write away here’s your chance to ask all those questions about Cruz & company and the Liquid Cool universe.

Year-End Holiday Sales
In 2017, it was all about the rainy world of Liquid Cool with its mega-skyscrapers, hovercars, cyborgs, and off-world colonies writing and releasing four novels with our hero detective, Cruz–all with tons of action and laughs. This year, it was all epic fantasy with my new series, the Fabled Quest Chronicles. You were introduced to the first three novels of an amazing caravan of humans, elves, giants, other fae, and fantastic animals led by the human Traveler and his “dog.” The response to my take on the epic fantasy genre had been very positive.
What's next in 2019? More Liquid Cool and the Fabled Quest Chronicles will continue. But I do have my original After Eden series to relaunch and bring to an end, as it is a finite series. I might even introduce another sci-fi series I've been holding back. We shall see what surprises my writing madness brings.

National Novel Writing Month 2018
The National Novel Writing Month, also known as NaNoWriMo is an annual event for writers around the world. Starting on November 1, participants work towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. After having written and published 19 books in 6 years, clearly I don’t have a problem with motivation or production. However, I did participate (on my own) the last 2 years. In 2016, I wrote not one, but three Liquid Cool novels—Blade Gunner, NeuroDancer, and The Electric Sheep Massacre. Three novels in 40 days was a record even for me.
Last year, I wrote two of the Fabled Quest Chronicles novels. My new epic fantasy series is the fourth of my distinct series. While Liquid Cool is like an episodic television series—each book is a self-contained major case, the Fabled Quest Chronicles is a year long trek with each book covering a leg of that journey across the Lands of Man, then into the magical lands.
What do I want to accomplish this time around?
Very good question. Since the last novel of the year will be my prequel to the Fabled Quest Chronicles, the choice is simple: more Liquid Cool. There's even a new Kindle Unlimited Liquid Cool title: Classic Cyborg! The use some cyberpunkish jargon, the upcoming new main novels are already downloading from my brain. For fans of the series, Liquid Cool Book 6, A.I. Confidential, ended with a jolt. So Book 7 will begin a new arc for our unlikely detective Cruz. So Liquid Cool will kick off 2019!
The writing begins November 1st!
