Welcoming Doctor Vincent.
Okay, dudes, can we please stop this and get ourselves in gear to show off Renea Mason’s latest release.
Elaine Watkins, Public Relations Advisor, is surprised when she receives a summons from the very attractive and enigmatic Dr. Xavier Vincent. She worships the talented physician and company icon responsible for developing the cure that saved her sister’s life and isn’t immune to his charm. Even though puzzled by his request, she is excited and eager to get started on his latest project.
But Dr. Vincent has other ideas. Instead of discussing cures, drugs and marketing strategies, he asks Elaine to join him in Paris to indulge his unique sexual appetites.
Torn between gratitude for saving her sister, her attraction for the powerful man and compromising her pre-conceived notions of sexuality, she must decide if it’s easier to feed his desires or walk away. Until she devises a plan of her own.
“Make no mistake, Elaine, I am a king. Kings command and conquer. They are brutal and uncompromising. You don’t want a king. Face it, you came here expecting a saint.” – Dr. Xavier Vincent

Have yourself a Merry Viking ‘Yultid’
‘Wrecking a marriage is generally no problem for the divorce obtaining, Lady Malice. But she faces a dilemma when she’s asked to ruin her own. Just how businesslike should she remain when the marriage was never consummated and kissing her husband leads to Sin–a handsome Viking who wants her for a bed slave in name only?’
‘Viking raider Sin Gudrunsson wants one thing. To marry his childhood sweetheart. Only she’s left him before, so he needs to keep her on her toes, and a bed slave, in name only, seems just the thing. Until he meets Malice.
One kiss is all it takes to flash between two worlds
But when one kiss is no longer enough, which will it be? Regency London? Or Viking Norway? Will Malice learn what governs the flashes? Can Sin?
Where worlds collide can love melt the iciest heart?’
“Now we’ve discussed the nature of the transaction, I only need a few details. This man, the one you want us to ruin…what is his name?”
Lady Grace leaned closer as if the study and all its contents didn’t just have ears and it would damage them to hear, as if her ears would blush to hear what she had to say. “Lord Hepworth. Lord Cyril Hepworth. Do you know of him at all? He is quite a dandy. But very dashing. And we are so very much in love.”
Know of him?
Malice’s gaze widened before she could stop it. For a second she felt as if rug, desk and chair had been yanked from beneath her and she sat in mid air with nowhere to go except the floor, except the floor wasn’t an option right now. Not in front of this woman.
Know of him?
Lady Grace had just asked her to ruin herself.

Have yourself a merry pirates yule-tide
Okay, dudes, the fact is you didn’t just jump the gun, you frog-leaped the whole battery. You never waited to see what was going to come out Vassily’s gun.

No. But now we got a diplomatic hamster incident. SO, what we are going to do today is continue with the character Yuletide blogs, welcoming my heroine, Lady Fury of the Unraveling of Lady Fury.
With her special Fury cocktail.
Between now and New Year we are also going to be welcoming my new heroine, Lady Malice.

Lady Fury. Well, that would be telling. Pirates, of course, are men who fear nothing, but it might surprise you to know there is a history of pirates celebrating Christmas….
Of course that story is from the golden age of piracy but still, in general, the pirates have a day off from everything.
But of course. I won’t say anything about the kind of hit Taliano is but he did get new teeth in his stocking–whether he wears them is another matter…………..
Seriously, Flint and I had a lovely day, although since he stole all the presents for me and the children, whether we have many more, I cannot say.
How very kind.
Goodness! For that I can blow you a kiss.

Have Yourself a Merry Hamstah Christmas
December 21, 2014
Have yourself a merry jewel thieves Christmas
Dudes…..can we just quit the racket–
No tree.
But we do decorate the house with garlands and greenery. The Yule log gets brought home on Christmas Eve to burn in the fireplace for as long as possible.

On the day itself, people go to church and come back to a celebratory Christmas dinner. Turkey, or…well…..
Goose. Definitely goose. Not to mention venison.
A real biggie is Jan 6th though. That’s party time. People play games such as ‘bob apple’ and ‘snapdragon’.
You can actually read about these games here when Shey invited Elyzabeth M Valey to help organise Dev’s homecoming party.
http://shehannemoore.wordpress.com/2014/01/14/let-elyzabeth-entertain-you/
A popular drink is the Wassail bowl.
Well, Dev has his dark side and as one reader noted, he’s not afraid of it either. But a wassail bowl is punch, or mulled wine, prepared from spiced and sweetened wine or brandy, and served in a large bowl garnished with apples.
A forerunner of today’s Christmas cake, the ‘Twelfth Night Cake’ is the centrepiece of the party and a slice is given to all members of the household.
Traditionally, it contained both a dried bean and a dried pea.
The man whose slice contained the bean was elected king for the night; the woman who found a pea elected queen.
Well, without giving to much away, you will understand that everything I’ve just said re a Regency Christmas isn’t the kind of Christmas Dev and I can have.
Absolutely. But Dev will sneak away from Chessington and at least we’ll be together. His sister Tilly will naturally get micked with Ruby, and Dev and I will just have to spend some quality, romantic time together, here in our little hideout, generally making this Christmas Eve our first. I mean we have had two ruined ones.

Have yourself a Merry Highland Christmas…
Rule 3: Thou shalt learn to bring Shehanne her slippers without her even asking; fill her wine glass before it’s empty; and help her in her new garden. Reason is, a happy Shey makes for a happy day.

All right, can we shut it up now?
And please welcome Lady Kara, heroine of my book, His Judas Bride, or face getting 1 out of 10?
Dudes, I’m sure if you let Lady Kara get a word in she’d tell you that Scotland is not the moon and while in Scotland we have VERY short days at the end of December. It is dark until around 8.30 am and again about 3.30pm in the afternoon, we celebrate Christmas the same as many other places. Christmas dinner etc etc etc. Of course three’s the pressies and the stockings AND the lumps of coal for those who didn’t behave.
MUCH.
After Kara brought you this lovely Christmas card too.

Well, we’ll be spending it at the castle in my glen–unfortunately because Lochalpin is Callm’s home. But,still we will start with a nice walk in the snow in the morning, after the children have opened their presents. Of course we will be having a venison dinner later with our guests.
Fallon will be getting a new set of knives and Arland, some body armour.
We hope they all will. They are certainly all asked with their families. It makes for quite a party and we all play pin the tail on the hamster. That’s usually after Dug has bitten it off.
The hall is beautifully decorated with pine branches and the fire is blazing. Ideal for roasting all sorts.
Then, when everyone has gone to their beds, we go to ours. More I cannot say, except mulled wine by the fire and the Wolf are a nice combination. The name Yuletide comes from the Scandinavians, for whom ‘Yultid’ was the festival celebrated at the twelfth month, being the twelfth name of Odin, who was supposed to come to earth in December, disguised in a hooded cloak. He would sit awhile at the firesides listening to the people, and where there was want he left a gift of bread or coins. I’m sure if you’re good little hamsters and start getting ten out of ten, that’s what you’ll find in your stockings on Christmas morning.
Oh and please…do make my fudge. It’s deliciously decadent served with mulled wine and a roaring log fire and the partner of your choice……….

RULE 1 Put the award logo on your blog.
Rule 2 Answer 7 questions asked by the person who nominated you.
QUESTION 1 Where do most visits to your blog come from?
Mostly they come from the USA. It’s a big place after all. But I absolutely love the fact I have followers from Italy, Spain, Holland, Ireland, Singapore, Dubai, The United Arab Emirates, Germany, Iran, Russia, Armenia, Canada, India, Iraq, Switzerland, Poland, the Ukraine, France, Turkey, Greece, Peru, Chile. Brazil…oh and Australia, the UK, to name some of the places. It makes me feel not only very cosmopolitan, it makes me want to wish you of all the best of for the season– to paraphrase the legendary Dave Allen, whatever god goes with you.
QUESTION 2 What is your favourite sport?
Drinking.
QUESTION 3 What has been a special moment for you in 2014?
Well landing the contract for my next book was pretty special for me, especially as I shopped for a new publisher and that was pretty nerve wracking.
But…the arrival of this little fellah here was the absolute best.
Being a glammie is cool and you can see that having pulled his first baby girlfriend he’s studying the blurb, looking for tips!! (I never took the pic by the way before you think this is shameless promotion! My daughter did for a giggle and sent it).
We also moved house this year and the one thing about that was the importance of being able to sit my family down at the table at Christmas. It’s not my gothic dining room like last year..I ain’t even got to decorating it yet, but I did set the table earlier.( Cos I am BUSY )
and everyone has a stocking on their chair as you might be able to see! SO we are good.
QUESTION 4 What is your favourite quote?
Quote or saying? My fav saying involves rude things with ducks. ( Here spelt correctly) Quote…? Hmm. Do I have one? Sorry, that is not the quote. I like Incy Black’s quote……
FALL DOWN SEVEN TIMES STAND UP EIGHT.
But the older I’ve got, the more I’ve also come to think of that Tennessee Williams quote in the Glass Menagerie…Blow out your candles. It is a wonderful line and I totally understand why it is being uttered. I’ve just come to the stage where I now say, Light your candles and let them burn brighter than ever for the day the will come when they will be dark.
(I could reword this along the lines for the day you can’t light a frigging match! ) Seriously Enjoy life. It’s what you have.
QUESTION FIVE. What was your favourite class when still at school?
Well…that’s kinda difficult seeing as I never went a lot. Probably drama.
QUESTION SIX. Anything you had wished to have learned earlier?
Uhm. Everything happens for a reason.
QUESTION SEVEN What musical instrument have you tried to play?
Well now, I can play six but telling you now the one I got chucked out the class for trying to play was violin…… Ok it was for laughing at the racket…
RULE 3 Thank the people who nominated you, linking to their blogs.
I got this award from the amazing poet and writer Christy Birmingham. Check her out. She’s something else! http://poeticparfait.com/about/

The Seditious Emily Guido
Take Our Poll
Dearest Emily….On a similar note (pun intended), what music (genre, artist, etc.) most inspires your writing?
‘I like to listen to classical or easy listening music with headphones on. I hate being interrupted while I write, so sometimes, I stay up all night and write.’
Which of your own stories is your favorite?
I don’t know if I have a favorite story since it’s a series. However, I would love to have dinner with Dmitri. He is the oldest and wisest of all the Blood-Hunters. But he still is totally gorgeous with long black hair and deep blue hypnotic eyes. He has a sense of humor like you wouldn’t believe. I don’t think Dmitri would like anything else but blood for dinner, but I would chomp on my steak while listening to his interesting stories about his past on Earth and look into his dreamy blue eyes. Totally got a thing for Dmitri, sorry, he is my fav!
What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
Keep writing and know social media to promote your book but also just say to yourself each day this mantra…
It only takes one…
One person to read your book
One person to tell another person about your book
One person to buy your book
And so on…
Tell me about your current work-in-progress and what your plans are for it.

What is your ultimate goal as a writer? (To write for pleasure? To be a best-selling author?Something else?)
I write strictly for pleasure. Oh yes, I dream of having my books read around the world. However, if I did this for money or to be famous, I would have never gotten this far. My goal is to enjoy and pass on this wonderful story of The Light-Bearer Series!I have spent a lot of money making these books come to life and promoting them. I also network. I have spent hours promoting these books. It is a labor of love, and if I make anything, I just put it back into the books and promotion.

Seditiousis a heart wrenching and exciting story of passion, betrayal, and redemption you will not want to miss!
Excerpt from SEDITIOUS the Fourth Novel in The Light-Bearer Series
Charmeine knew this beautiful woman was a very powerful Blood-Hunter. She felt Baby Hunter kicking and fought to control her anxiety.
“Ah, yes, very good gentlemen. We have her now.” The mysterious woman told the men in a thick, French accent. She gazed with wide spellbinding eyes at Charmeine. She looked like a cat ready to pounce on her prey.
The man who held Charmeine pushed her to go out the terrace doors.
She knew this was a kidnapping and worried for Baby Hunter. Charmeine struggled to gain some kind of fighting advantage.
The Light-Bearers practiced their self-defense skills with her daughter, Sandra, and worked on how to get out these hand-binding holds. After Charmeine’s encounters with Pascal, she never wanted to feel helpless again.
With speed and accuracy, Charmeine used her power to fly up backwards over the head of the Blood-Hunter. She broke out of his grip. Immediately, she leveled him with a powerful and fierce bolt of white electricity which stunned him into a stupor.
Percival took this opportunity to sweep the legs of the man who held him. He stunned his assailant, and made him fall down in pain with a green charge which ran through his body.
“Use your light for Athena!” Charmeine yelled to Percival.
Percival threw a green lightning bolt at the man who held Athena.
Within a second, the Blood-Hunter was on the ground. A green current cursed through him.
“Halt!” the Blood-Hunter woman demanded.
Charmeine looked up and a hand gun was aimed at her belly.
The woman widened her indigo eyes with her fangs exposed. She threatened, “You really never know where a bullet will go? Do you?” she laughed.
Her maniacal giggles curdled Charmeine’s blood. She could tell the Blood-Hunter woman was telling the truth.
“Yes, the bullet could just land somewhere very unhealthy for your unborn spawn.” She circled Charmeine like a shark swimming around its prey. “Not that hurting spawn of this Light-Bearer scum would matter,” she quipped in a matter-of-fact way.
Charmeine began to feel waves of nausea and fought the urge to be sick.
“The offspring is just a by-product.” With a sinister laugh the woman scoffed, “Yes, a by-product which should be tossed aside and thrown away like the trash it is . . . as soon as we cut it out of you!”
She began to laugh with a vicious tone and stuck the gun in Charmeine’s belly ready to pull the trigger.

Two for the price of one. Meet Sarah and Shannen Brady.
Well, dudes, this is an interesting turn up for the books. Do you really think you can reverse this poll?
Take Our Poll
Christmas is still a few weeks off. You will have to keep it up, obeying all Noelle’s rule…Let’s just recap ok ?
Rule 1: Thou shalt not whinge, whine, or carry on when Shey constantly overlooks you in favour of some fancy US Best Seller author, or some tramp who writes naughty books.
Rule 2: Thou shalt not interrupt when Shey is speaking. The consequences of you continuing to do this are awful. Heck, you’ve seen what happened to Mr Shey! He’s lost all his hair from being told to shut up all the time. A bald hamster will be a very cold hamster in the freezing Dundonian winter.
Rule 3: Thou shalt learn to bring Shehanne her slippers without her even asking; fill her wine glass before it’s empty; and help her in her new garden. Reason is, a happy Shey makes for a happy day.
Rule 4: Never, never, NEVER, interrupt Shehanne when she is on a deadline, or has edits to do. This will make her angry, and she will withhold certain important…favours…such as feeding you, changing your water bowl, and letting you visit her blog posts.
Now let’s see how well you do today, marks out of ten folks ok, welcoming a very unusual combo. A mum and daughter who write together.
Dudes, I give you Sarah and Shannen Brady a writing team out of Washington State.
Together they write paranormal romantic suspense. Ok? And if you’re good, very good, to them and our remaining guests, we will be having that Hamstah Christmas week.
Temporarily. In case you didn’t notice, they gave you back. Once they’d recovered their sanity. We’ve talked about this.
Well, let’s just see. We have a little guest post here, a very good one all about partner writing and just how the galz work it out.
He eats them too. So, let’s put our paws together to welcome two fellow Soulies to the blog, or rather one, and hear what they/she have/has to say about writing a book together.

Partner Writing.
Sarah Brady
‘Partner writing with anyone else would be hard but writing together with Shannen is easy. After all, we’ve been doing this very nearly all her life.
I’m an accountant but Shannen has always been a writer. When she was a little girl, for a while limericks and Doctor Suess-style rhyming poems were her thing. The whole family, (Shannen and I, my husband and Shannen’s younger brother,) would sit around the living room brainstorming poetry, both kids shouting out lines from their beanbags on the floor and cracking themselves up. I know, normal families play board games or watch TV. Even that far back, “just a little weird” was our normal.
I paid a call on my best friend Jerome,
To find just the right dog for me to take home
And when I got there
I knew just what I’d find;
A puppy so ugly I’d want to go blind…

OK, even I know that’s terrible. It’s been a long time and I never claimed I could do this by myself. Together we’d have come up with something better. Just like our novel writing, the end result is greater than the sum of its parts.
When Shannen and I are ready to start a new book, we simply sit down together and tell each other a story. We argue about plot and characters, motive and heat level. It can get both loud and graphic as we work out all the details for a full length romance novel and we’ve learned to do most of it in private, as it drives the rest of the family bugnuts.
We eventually drag them in for some of the details, as my son is now a martial arts instructor (and our fight scene choreographer) and my husband has a very analytical mind. He often finds plot holes and asks questions that never occurred to either of us. In just a couple of hours we can come up with the bones of a novel, characters, romance, and action, beginning to end.
After that it’s a matter of trading the notes back and forth until we have what amounts to a primitive rough draft, a 10-12 page, scene-by-scene outline with a thick paragraph spelling outwhat each scene has to accomplish. Whoever is most attached to the characters at that point takes it over and writes the first draft, with the other editing it scene by scene along the way.
After two years of this craziness, our first two novels are either published or in the hands of a publisher, waiting for the release date to come around. We have at least five more Gifted or Gifts of Fate novels in the works and we’re still having a blast.
When Shannen and I first sat down to write,
We thought maybe the books would be good.
“You write that with your daughter?”
The other authors all cried.
No way could most have understood.
But we kept right on writing, more stories to tell
Might not get famous or make us a dime
We might land on our backsides
Or fall on our faces
But at least we’ll have had a good time.
Oh, man. This is why I don’t do this alone…
Alexandra Grayson is an empathic healer, flying under the radar as a Spokane Valley EMT. Protecting her family’s secret from Homeland Security’s Gifted Agenda and the bigotry of a fearful populace is the most important thing to her. Getting close to men, especially super sexy cops, isn’t an option.
Tyler Kincaid is a man who knows what he wants, and what he wants is Alex. When she outs herself as Gifted by healing a child, Tyler helps her escape, but even his love is not enough to protect her. When Alex is taken by HOMSEC agents, Tyler has to lead a motley collection of Alex’s Gifted relatives in a daring rescue.
Shannen Brady lives in Western Washington with her boyfriend and their child, a rambunctious corgi named Chubberus Maximus. When she’s not writing her latest sexy story, you can find her hiking, watching terrible SyFy movies and avoiding cooking of any kind.
Sarah Brady lives in Eastern Washington with her husband and teenage son, dividing her time between her real life and the voices in her head.
Sarah and Shannen are a mother/daughter team and together they write paranormal romantic suspense. Their first book, Healer, is book 1 of The Gifted, a series that will be four m/f romances, and published by Soul Mate Publishing. Their second book will be Sweet Fire, book 1 of a related series of m/m books, to be released January 2, 2015 by Dreamspinner Press.
Sarah and Shannen love to hear from readers. Check out their website at www.sbradybooks.com, like them on FaceBook at SBradyBooks or follow them on Twitter @sbradybooks.
