Say what you want about John Green and his writing, but I just got some of the best news ever because of him. If it wasn’t for me picking up The Fault In Our Stars, reading Hazels diagnosis and thinking “holy shit that was almost my exact situation” I wouldn’t have found out about This Star Won’t Go Out. And I wouldn’t have learned about their financial assistance program. A few months back I got a routine test that I’ve had plenty of times before but with my new insurance the shots I needed ended up costing me over $2,400. TSWGO is reimbursing me for almost all of it. I’m literally sobbing from happiness. I’m so grateful for John, the Earl family, and anyone involved in TSWGO and Project For Awesome. This is amazing.

Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us this year during Project for Awesome! We are very excited to announce we are one of 20 charities receiving a grant this year, and we could not have done that without you! Because of all of your support we will continue to be able to help many kids this year!
