Writing "Tripe" and Why I Did It:
Many of you have been wondering what on Earth possessed me to write Banged In The Bayou. Some of you are just now seeing the pictures and ads and I'm sure you're quite surprised or even confused. Well, the truth is I wrote it over two years ago. Last year, it was free on Smashwords and had over 700 downloads. Since it has been exclusively on Amazon for the past week, I've had more sales of this crazy, humorous...NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY, monster sex, #erotichorror book than I have in an entire month with my other six books with my former publisher.
Yes, it's a short story. No, it really doesn't have any merit other than to be entertained with some monster smut. And that is why I wrote this "tripe". Because I wanted to. Because I can. For entertainment. To give people a laugh. And other than this man in the #UK, it's been greatly received.

Maybe the entertainment value doesn't translate well. Maybe it's a cultural divide. Or maybe, just maybe it is indeed tripe and rubbish. Either way, Rosie Peaks has hit the short story> horror> erotica list a few times this past week according to Amazon and it's bounced up and down around the rankings. So, there are people out there who enjoy #erotichorror and to me...it's fabulous. I'll never judge someone based on what they read. As long as you're reading something--I applaud you.

Serve and Submit is my first series, and each 6000-7000 word erotic story is stand alone with a hero who serves the public in some way. These stories are deliciously hot. Designed for readers who don’t have time to read a long romance, or maybe they're waiting for an appointment in an office somewhere and just want to kill time. Secret Cravings' Secret Recipes: Author Paige Prince
Happy Memorial Day Weekend! And welcome to another installment of Secret Cravings' Secret Recipes. Please welcome romance author, Paige Prince. She's back again with another incredibly scrumptious recipe just for us:
"Creme Brulee is my favorite indulgence when I go out. I'm learning how to make it at home, but in the mean time, I'm combining my love of creme brulee and cheesecake. It's the ultimate indulgence, and it stars in one of my current WIPs: Just One Taste. It's my first M/M, about a chef who takes a shine to one of the wait staff and decides to teach him how to make his favorite dessert."
Creme Brulee Cheesecake BarsYIELD: 9 barsingredients:For the crust:
9 whole graham crackers
1/2 stick unsalted butter, meltedFor the filling:
2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 large egg yolk
1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
1/2 teaspoon fine sea saltFor the brulee topping:
1/4 cup granulated sugardirections:For the crust:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with foil, leaving an overhang.In the bowl of a food processor, pulse the graham crackers until finely ground. Add the butter and pulse until moistened. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake until lightly browned and set, about 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool and reduce the oven temperature to 300°F.For the filling:
Place the cream cheese in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until smooth (you can also use an electric mixer). Add the sugar, eggs, egg yolk, vanilla bean seeds, and salt and pulse until well combined and smooth.Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake until the cheesecake is set but still slightly jiggly in the center, about 45 minutes. Do no overbake.Place the cheesecake on a cooling rack to cool completely in the pan. Cover and chill until firm, at least 2 hours. Using the foil overhang, transfer the cheesecake to a work surface and cut into squares.On a heat-safe work surface, sprinkle the tops of each square with sugar and torch the tops with a kitchen torch until it turns a deep amber color. Alternatively, use a broiler to brown the sugar. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
