Stout Advice: Discouragement

Post your questions, comments, and thoughts below

It's important to fuel our minds with quality things in order to overcome discouragement and objection in life. If we can control the space between our ears, we can control the dash between our years. It's the "dash" that represents the true journey of life, thus our quality of life.

Action Items:

Write a list of all the times you were discouraged
Write a list of all the things you need to do to help you get your mind right

Stout Advice: The Mindset of being Relational

It's important to understand the mindset of being relational vs. transactional. Relational is genuinely caring about a person and relating to them. Transactional is wanting something out of someone and having an end game. At the end of the day the transactions will take care of themselves.

Action Items:

Write down a list of all the things you've tried to accomplish. Ask yourself if you've been transactional or relational.
Write a list of all the important people in your life.
Write down a list of all times you were out of bounds. Write down the outcomes.

If you build solid relationships with people, the transactions will take care of themselves!

Stout Advice: Teamwork

One of the keys to success is surrounding yourself with great people. Great people equate to great teams. The better your teammates, the better your team.

When evaluating teamwork it’s important to ask yourself two things:

What value do you bring as an individual to all the teams you work with?
Within the teams you work with, who brings great value that you can learn from?

Action Items:

Write down a list of people you are involved with
Write down what you can do to be the best teammate as possible
Write down the things you can do better

Stout Advice: Perfectionism

Perfectionism can be a both a pro and a con in life. It’s positive when it drives you to a level of success that many people don’t have a desire to achieve. Perfectionism becomes negative when you have unrealistic expectations of what you are trying to accomplish. Evaluate the areas in your life where you strive for perfecionism. Do you need to target new areas of perfectionism?

Action Items

Write down negative perfectionism
Target perfectionism to new areas

Stout Advice: Dreams

Logan talks about dreaming big!

Did you know it takes the same amount of time to dream small as it does to dream big? Life only beats you down if you allow it to. You only limit your dreams when you dream about what can’t be instead of what can be. Be inspired and dream big!

Action Items:

Write down your dreams
Make a plan for your dreams
