A Tangle of Echoes

Hi there. If you love to read romantic fiction then writing romantic fiction is what I love to do. My seventh novel is called A Tangle of Echoes and is set at the end of the 1920’s during the time between the World Wars. This is the sequel to my third novel, Songbird, but I firmly believe that you don’t need to read Songbird to enjoy A Tangle of Echoes. In Songbird, I told the story of Isabelle Asquith, but in A Tangle of Echoes, it is Venice’s story (Isabelle’s granddaughter) that takes centre stage.
I’m not usually keen on sequels as I like my novels to stand on their own as a complete story. However, readers did ask if there would be a sequel and Venice’s story popped into my mind. I’ve put my heroine through some tough personal situations and her grandmother’s secret is only mentioned as a backdrop and yet has terrifying consequences for Venice. If you’ve already read Songbird then I know you’ll enjoy A Tangle of Echoes and if you haven’t then perhaps you’ll feel intrigued enough to give it a go and discover how it all started.
And please, let me know what you think.
Happy reading
Julia

Hello everyone

I've been an author on Goodreads for a while, since my son signed me up. But believe it or not, I've only just got the internet. Yes, I know that sounds daft, but I always found the library adequate for my research. Now I'm online, I'm desperately trying to catch up on this technical stuff. So, please be gentle with me and if you can give me any tips please do so. I would be so grateful. I see that there's two Julia Bell's on Goodreads. (I think the other Julia Bell writes about writing, if you see what I mean) and I write historical romances, so you'll tell us apart, I'm sure.
I'm hoping to review some of the books I'm reading on my Kindle, if I can work out what to do. I've already received some fantastic recommendations for reading and I would love to follow them up. So, I hope to talk to you in the future.
All the best,
Julia
