This was a sweet sexy book! Oh man. The boat. I'll never look at boats the same. Jon and "Carmella" have totally sexified it for me! Alex Dare makes a few appearances in here, which was cool!
Are there really women who act like karma? Because I totally have an ex I'd love to introduce to her! Anyways, this sexy story would have been a 5 for me, but I felt that Jon forgave her pretty quickly. There was this drama then it was over quick. It doesn't matter though. This is still a sexy dominating story that fits in quite well with the Dare World!Why no voting buttons? This is the first I've read. If I have extra time, I may go back and read book 1. But, I'm not in a hurry for it. I'm all about UK lingo if I'm reading a book set in the UK. But if an author sets it in the US, they need to be careful. A lot of words used annoyed me because they were wrong or something that wouldn't be said here.
That being said, it's a decent MM story. I enjoyed seeing the Paranormal drama, and the characters falling in love, but I felt that it was all a bit.. forced. It was just there. I would have loved feeling their relationships build a bit more. I enjoyed seeing the strong male characters that wasn't an alpha. It seems all tough males in a Paranormal are alphas. This was refreshing. There's twists and turns that held my interest and kept me reading. I liked the MM aspect. But this book just didn't blow me away. I think if you're into MM and Paranormal, you can enjoy this story, there are just other stories out there I'd rather spend my time reading. Why no voting buttons? “What’s your favorite color?” Caitlyn held a pen in her hand, poised to write, trying to concentrate on the task at hand. Her focus, though, was Wesley’s deep green eyes. Eyes able to pierce her and reach a part of her no one had ever been able to touch before. Something about the way he looked at her, like he saw only her, deep down, clear to her soul.
A hint of danger lurked in his eyes, a predator-like stance that made her sense he was ready to devour her, sexually and otherwise. A vulnerability that made Caitlyn yearn to take him in her arms, to be as close to him as possible. His gaze held no arrogance, no indifference, and no deceit.
Her throat felt parched. His eyes devoured every morsel of her power and well-being.

“My favorite color,” he said as he leaned across the table, closer to Caitlyn, “is the capricious color of your eyes.”
His lips were only inches from hers so that his breath licked against her skin. His eyes possessed her.
She clutched her pen in midair, frozen in space for a mere second. He touched her hand.
The pen fell.
“Blueberry,” he said as he trailed a light kiss across her knuckle, his eyes still magnetizing hers. Her heart stopped in her throat. “Dark and wounded. Cornflower blue, tantalizing with banter and witticism.” He kissed the tip of her pinkie and went on to taste each finger, slowly taking his time with each one. “Sea blue, bright and sparkling like the waves catching a sunset, when you’re happy.”
Caitlyn, entranced with his words, was amazed he even noticed her eyes and more amazed he practically recited poetry. Where had he come up with this?
“Storm clouds,” he continued as he stroked the inside of her palm. “Brewing with a passion and desire you’re too afraid to feel. Sometimes periwinkle, sometimes almost lavender and sometimes a sultry gray. Right now though, they are definitely–”
She pulled her hand away and scooted back in her chair. Thoroughly aroused, she squeezed her thighs tighter in an attempt to bury the spark.
“You’re full of it,” she said. “My eyes don’t change colors that much and even if they did, you wouldn’t notice.”
“What makes you say that?” He leaned back in his chair, taking the two back legs to its haunches, something they both used to get in trouble for when they were kids.
She shook her head and didn’t answer. The touch of his warm mouth on her fingers still burned in her core.
“I always notice your eyes.”

So we asked Jacquie What interests you in writing westerns?
I grew up when television westerns were king of the air waves, but they didn’t influence me nearly as much as Owyhee County. I grew up on a dairy farm but would’ve loved to have lived on my uncle’s ranch. When I herded Holsteins, I wanted them to be Texas Longhorns. When I milked cows, I dreamed of riding in the hills, chasing rustlers.
Round-ups, rodeos, and just the cowhand way of life always intrigued me—and of course so did the cowhands themselves. What a bunch of fine looking men! Broad shoulders, that weathered look, muscles made be real work rather than a gym. And chaps. Whoa, baby.
Then there’s the unique circumstances of women, especially those in the Pacific Northwest. They weren’t clones of the Victorian women back East. Western women were often entrepreneurs—business owners in their own right. Kitty Wilkens, who lived in Owyhee County, holds the record for the largest horse trade to this day. These women were tough and they worked hard, but they also liked to look pretty and play hard. It’s a very interesting time.
But back to television. What always caught my attention the most was the humor mixed with romance. Miss Kitty and Matt Dillon always had some funny lines, especially with Festus around. That’s my natural bent, so I just went with it. Comedy is always very subjective so what causes one person to laugh might make another think it’s downright stupid, so there’s a very fine line. Still, I think westerns and romcom are a great mix. A couple romcom western movies that I love are The Apple Dumpling Gang and Cat Ballou.
