I’M BACK!!!!!

Hey, Guys!!! I know I’ve been MIA from the blogosphere lately, but a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. Besides the fact that I still to this day have no internet on my desktop, thanks to some funky wireless internet issue in my new house, I had to buckle down and finish editing Twist and Turn, book 2 in The Twisted Trilogy.

Guess what. Today I finished!!! Yup. No more editing for me. Okay, fine, I still have to do a read through on my e-reader, but I’m convinced that I’ve edited the crap out of it so much that it’s already good to go. :-) And not a minute too soon. Did you know that tomorrow is my cover reveal? I am so very super excited about it. I hired myself a cover designer and she is the shit. Check back in tomorrow to see for yourself! PicMonkey Collage - book 2 cover reveal3

I’ll also be posting some teasers and other fun excerpts leading up to the release date, which I have now set for August 1, 2013. Yay!!! This is so exciting. See you soon! :D

5 Tips for Writing Multiple POVs

Reblogged from ...and then there was Sarah:

Click to visit the original post

I’m a shameless fan of writing in multiple POVs. My series has a large, diverse cast of characters and I’m all about giving each of them a voice, where possible. I also believe that telling the story through the eyes of varied characters gives a well-rounded perspective on the tale that you would not get otherwise.

Of course, this is not always a popular narrative choice.

The Twisted Trilogy is written in the first person, but that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy dabbling inside of Edwin and Jenny's head in Twist & Turn, book 2. Check out Sarah's tips on writing with multiple POV's. :-)

With evil lurking on every corner, can two veritable strangers survive on love alone?

Chelsea Reid shares one sinful night with a delicious stranger and she winds up pregnant. Disowned by her parents and forced to leave university, she accepts an offer from her boss, Hannah Magnus-Dunlop, to stay with her and her family.

Christiaan ‘Tiaan’ Carstens had everything going for him.

Congrats to Author Danielle Taylor on her cover reveal for Intimate Strangers!! Loved her first Captive Hearts Novella, Captive at Christmas, (which has a hot new cover, might I add) and I am in the middle of beta reading this one. So far I'm loving it. But that doesn't surprise me. Danielle is an amazing author. This series is self-published, but she is also a soon to be traditionally published author too, on account of her YA counterpart Ellie Carstens. Go check her out!!

You constantly edit. Whether it’s while you’re driving down the street and pass a misspelled sign, or grammatical errors in Facebook posts, you fix errors constantly in your mind—and sometimes not so silently.
You’re highly observant. And not only do you notice things all the time, but you file them away in your I could write about this later folder.

While I still hear your breathing

and the beating of your heart

While I still reach out for you

at noises in the dark

I still wait for your return

long after you've been gone

I still turn down the volume

when it plays that special song

While summer rays of blazing gold

eventually simmer down to fall

I still hold these memories…
