There Is So Much Going On

June Goals

The month of May went by in a flurry of book-making.

My goals were:

1) New writing— I completed this one as usual. Tales of Blood & Light (Lethemia) Book Seven is shaping up to be a dark mystery plot.

2) Finish Cedna revision and sendCedna to beta-readers. I finished the revision and sent The Cedna to Beth. I polled beta-readers, but I will wait to actually send it out until next month.

Lethemia Map

I’m so thrilled with this map of my fantasy world, Lethemia, that I actually couldn’t wait to share it until it was officially finished. Deep Breath

Last month Ifinished applying the edits from Beth on my latest revision of The Gantean, my fantasy novel of many faces. This poor little book–or not so little, since it was once 250,000 words–has been through so many revisions. BUT! BUT! I really think this last revision did the trick. Mayday, Mayday

It’s May 1st and so it must be time for GOALS.

Last month I proposed to succeed at six goals. Here’s how I did:

1) New writing. Yes, though this one was a bit of a slog. I hit the slow part of my process on the draft of Lethemia Book 6, which always occurs around 35,000 words. But I persevered and managed to meet my word count goals.

Flashdogs 2015 Solstice Anthology

The second Flashdogs anthology is in the works. This one’s theme is Solstice, and it will contain the work of more than 30 writers of flash fiction from around the world, including me and my LCP partner Beth Deitchman.

Spearheaded by two lovely gentlemen from Great Britain, Mark A. King and David Shakes, Flashdogs is a collective of stellar writers who writesuper short stories. The word limit for this anthology is 1000 words or less. All proceeds go to charity.
