Cineville :: June 2019
This month I went to the gym a lot in preparation for lying in the sun in Italy, on the island of Ischia, which I also accomplished with aplomb. Oh, and I wrote a lot. I’m writing a bestseller, you know. Believe. So I didn’t go the cinema much. Only six times. Here’s what I saw…

Cineville :: May 2019
Spring sprang briefly in May and for a couple of weeks I was in its thrall, tarting about the place like a man in my prime. Then at the end of the month I made my way back to England to age. I also spent a pleasing amount of time working on the bestseller I'm writing and I managed to go to the cinema seven times. So all in all, a fairly transcendent month. Praise it. Here's what I saw...

Cineville :: April 2019
Only five cinema visits in April. It seems like Real Life is taking over. Which sounds like a good thing, and it is a good thing, of course it is, but still. It feels wrong. For without cinema … why, we're no better than dung beetles. Anyway, here's what I saw...

Cineville :: March 2019
I moved house in March and I went to Prague for a few days, as well as learning new tours, doing quite a bit of work and eating an obscene amount of non-vegan pizza. (To my shame.) Consequently, I hardly went to the cinema at all. Only six visits in 31 days. Pathetic. Next month will be better. Inshallah. Anyhow, these are the films I saw...

Cineville :: February 2019
In February I finally found somewhere of a hopefully permanent nature to live, I popped back to the UK for my mum's 86th birthday and I hardly went to the cinema at all — only twice a week (plus once in the UK, which doesn't count). Here's what I saw...

Cineville :: January 2019
I was hit by a car in January, and a short relationship came to a surprisingly ignominious end, but hey, at least I went to the cinema 13 times. And all for €20. Good old Cineville. Here are the films I saw in the order I saw them, plus brief reviews.

All the Fun of a Film Shoot
This is an 11-minute documentary about the the making of SG Collins' Heidi Helressel's Weirdest Tuesday. I really like Collins' refusal to pretend he's enjoying the process. Plus I say a dirty word at the end. It's fun!
