Unhinged hard backs have arrived! And the ink inside is a dark reddish purple—like luscious berry wine. YUM.
I see a giveaway on the horizon…

Sometimes I wish I could go back to how I used to watch movies. Before I knew so much about world building and plot holes and proper character development, before I could see a twist coming two hours away, before I had years of experience surrounding myself in all of the finer bits of story-telling to the point where every single movie I see immediately falls into a handful of tropes that are all painfully obvious. I don’t mean to sound whiny or self-righteous or “I’m so glorious with all of my plot knowledge” (anyone who remembers my first draft of SNOW LIKE ASHES can attest to my utter lack of gloriousness), I just miss seeing a movie for the first time and leaving the theater with that sense of awe. Like I’d just been slapped in the heart with wonder.
Don’t mind me. Just mourning my lost innocence. You know, the usual for a Monday.
SNOW LIKE ASHES Advent: Day 2 of 10!
On the second day of December, I offer up to youuuuuuuuuu:
Of course, CHOCOLATE. Super fancy snowflake chocolate, no less. Chocolate is the true magic of the holidays.
(This is the second prize in the SNOW LIKE ASHES Join the Blizzard Giveaway: Advent-Style! Check back tomorrow at 11:30 EST for prize number THREE, and tune in on December 11 for your chance to win ALL THE PRIZES!)

The Ten Days of SNOW LIKE ASHES
On December 11, the winter edition of the Join the Blizzard contest will kick off. Since it’s the first of the two winter-themed Join the Blizzard contests, and also since SNOW LIKE ASHES is about one of the last refugees from the Kingdom of Winter, this contest will be SPECIAL.
Special in a short-and-sweet, fast-and-dirty, lots-of-prizes-but-very-little-work kind of way, because it’s the holidays, and letsfaceit, no one wants to work very hard.
I’ve lined up for this contest ten glorious prizes. Yep, you read that right — TEN. I’ll post a picture/description of one prize every day Dec 1-10, with the prizes building in awesomeness, eventually leading up to the Join the Blizzard Contest: Winter Edition on Wednesday, Dec 11. An Advent Calendar, SNOW LIKE ASHES Style!
So…*clears throat* *starts humming The Twelve Days of Christmas*
On the first day of December, I offer up to youuuu:
A handmade snowflake charm!
Wait, Sara, we already KNOW about this prize. This isn’t new.
Why thank you, Sara, you’re quite right. Let me try again. *clears throat*
On the first day of December, I offer up to youuuuuuuuuu:
Super fancy SNOW LIKE ASHES buttons! Very few people have these yet, so YAY SPECIAL THINGS!
Much better.
Yes, buttons always are.
