So, since I’m super busy with uni, I may drop some WIPs around here to keep the blog active with my own stuff as well. This sketch came to be during a conversation with xxscarletxrosexx hihihi (◠ω◕✿)
For those who don’t know, this belongs to my Jelsa Phantom of the Opera AU. I’ve started a fic too!

A new Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer has just landed online!
Dawn of the Planet of the apes will swing into theaters on July 11, and with each new piece of promotion our excitement only gets higher.
The trailer shows that attempts will be made by both the human and apes species, but not all of either species will want to live happily together. Eventually things get out of hand, and war begins.

Sara Raasch: One of my all-time favorite things to see on covers is detail – the longer you look, the more things you see – and I LOVE that mine has that! So much of it is symbolic. I heap praise on the artist, Jeff Huang, constantly. He did such an incredible job! (*whispers* And the cover for the sequel is even MORE beautiful, if that’s possible! Shhhh…*wink*)
Kendall Kulper: I *love* the knot that they chose! So symbolic, beautiful, iconic, personal, and an absolutely perfect representation of my character’s story :)
Kathryn Rose: I have three things I love about my cover. First, the mechanical falcon Caldor is there, and I’m SO happy with how the artist visualized him. I also love how Vivienne’s wearing a purple dress. I think it suits the rest of the cover beautifully, and such an important scene in the book has Vivienne in a purple dress. And third, and I don’t know if this was intentional, but in the bottom left corner there’s a white, three-petal flower that looks a lot like trillium, which is the official flower of Ontario, Canada, where I’m from, but I’m pretty sure that was unintentional. An unexpected surprise!
Skylar Dorset: I love the atmospheric setting of mine. I feel like it really draws the reader into the world right away!
Danielle L. Jensen: My favourite part is probably the rose that Cécile is holding - it has an important moment in the story, so I was thrilled to have it represented so perfectly. I also love how you get glimpse of Trollus behind her, and how the artist (Steve Stone) managed to make it dark and light, gritty and beautiful.
Elissa Sussman: I love how vaguely creepy my cover is. It feels very much like the old Grimm’s fairy tales, slightly romantic and slightly haunting. Exactly what I was hoping for!
Renee Collins: I love the title design. The fantasy creatures hiding in the iron work is so cool and fitting for the book. Also, my cover is RED. Totally my power color.
Lori M. Lee: My favorite part of my cover (just revealed! :D ) are the threads. They’re gorgeous and glowy and perfect. They’re exactly the way I’d hoped they would look, and I love that it almost looks like Kai is manipulating them with how they’re placed.

After getting into a fight with Zuko the night before his wedding to Mai, Katara starts to come to the painful realization that in order to truly be happy, that you first must learn to be happy with yourself. A story about a journey of self-discovery
I’d originally avoided this fic because of the apparent unhappiness in the description—I’m a sucker for happy endings.This fic doesn’t get half the acclaim it deserves.
Like A Dove is a well-known fandom favorite, but this piece in particular is one of my favorites. Its a poignant tale that follows Katara as she essentially finds herself. It’s heat-breaking and sad and perfect.
MY HEART. OH IT HURTS.
