When did the idea for SNOW LIKE ASHES come to you? Was it one of your drawings?
I started writing the first draft of SLA when I was twelve, actually! Thus, I don’t remember where the whole idea for the story came from, beyond this: I knew I wanted to write a book where winter was perceived as the “good guys.” Winter is so often seen as bad and evil and cold, and I wanted to flip that. Thus, Winter is the good kingdom, and Spring is evil.
I'm just here to say that I love your book. I am 73% through it and it's just my favorite ya high fantasy. And you liked my post about it I'm freaking out??? Thank you SO much I'll make 490 edits/drawings when I'm done.
YOU’RE freaking out? I’M freaking out!

You are the BEST!!
(PS: SEND ME PICS OF WHATEVER YOU MAKE PLEASE AND THANK YOU)

I am actually considering getting “Someday we will be more than words in the dark” from Snow Like Ashes as a tattoo. Like, holy carp that’s some powerful stuff.
DUDE. If someone got a tattoo of a quote from my book I think that’d be instant reason to give them free books for life.
