YA Scream Queens Murder Mystery

Muahaha.

MuahaHAHA.

MUAHAHAHA-*hacks* *coughs* *wheezes*

Okay, maybe I’m not the best evil laugher — that honor would have to go to the YA Scream Queens, who are hosting an EPIC Halloween Murder Mystery Contest.

Apparently, I’m a suspect. I know, right?

I’ve been advised by my legal counsel to say as little as possible, but I just want you all to know that I don’t have it in me to be a killer. I mean, I’m nowhere near as deranged as Lisa Maxwell. She’s the one ya’ll should be suspecting.

Luckily the contest ends soon, and I’ll have gotten away with it. I mean, my good name will be cleared. Yes.

TOP FIVE WEDNESDAY! - Favourite Titles
Love all these titles!! Something about them just makes me want to pick them up right away; and not gonna lie, it is one of the things I base the book on before I actually pick it up to see what it is about. Most of the time, if it has what I consider a great title, then it is probably gonna be a great book for me, and in the case of these books, they most definitely were fan-flipping-tastic! And I couldn’t get enough!
Books in Photo:
-The Darkest Minds: Alexandra Bracken
-Snow like Ashes: Sara Raasch
-The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer: Michelle Hodkin
-The Kiss of Deception: Mary E. Pearson
-Heir of Fire: Sarah J. Maas

All are on my ‘YOU NEED TO READ THIS DAMN BOOK RIGHT NOW!’ list.

Still off galavanting on the Blizzard Tour, but I wanted to post some pics from my first school visit!

I dropped by my old high school and talked to English classes (top and bottom pics) as well as an assembly of 4th-8th graders (which, yeah, totally did not recommend my book to the 4th graders, but I told them about publishing and the process and all the fun technical stuff).

All in all, I talked to about 200+ kids today, and I SURVIVED. Teenage Me would be so proud, especially of that assembly. I’m pleased to say I not only spoke clearly to all those crazy kids, but I WASN’T EVEN NERVOUS.

It was either because I’m just a really professional, together ahhhhhdult type person, or I was so exhausted from being in six different cities in the past few days that I was numb to all anxiety.

We’re gonna go with the “professional adult” reason.

I spent an entire summer working on this series of ladies representing the four seasons with their preposterous hairstyles, because why not.

[winter, spring, summer, fall]

This reminds me of
sararaasch
's Snow Like Ashes. I guess anything stylized of the four seasons does now.

Ooo YES!
