YES! Quote Time Fridays is back people! I think it’s time for a dance party, who is with me?
Okay…maybe no dance party, but we do have some quotes for you! This week is Snow Like Ashes:
I do have one quick question though, should we continue Quote Time Fridays or do something different?

How did you get the inspiration (and/or idea) to write Snow Like Ashes? What about for the Kingdoms and the entire world of Primoria in general? Thank you for the amazing world, and amazing book!
I feel like the lamest broken record when I get this question, because I don’t remember. I started writing SLA when I was a preteen, and because of that, I don’t remember where I got the initial ideas. All I do know is I wanted to write a book where winter was perceived as the “good guys.”
As for the rest of the world: when I rewrote SLA a few years ago, I knew I wanted to keep the Season Kingdoms, but I wanted a balance to it, some “normal” kingdoms — thus, the Rhythms were born (and were named as such because they cycle through the normal “rhythms” of nature, i.e. four distinct seasons).

High Fantasy / Epic Fantasy - Fantasy fiction set in or involving an alternative, entirely fictional (“secondary”) world, rather than the real, or “primary” world.
Are you planning on writing books in different genres?
All of my other ideas have elements of fantasy (or are sci-fi, which is related to fantasy) so…I’ll probably stick with fantasy for the foreseeable future.
I tend to get bored while writing things like contemporary - “No one has a sword! What’s the point??”
