The Village Keeper Lands

I hadn't intended to publish this title while busy with the launch of Ashalon but as time went by, I thought better of it.

I suppose that I didn't want to confuse the buying public with the two genres I was working in YA/SciFi with the kind of traditional coming of age story that The Village Keeper, A Novel represents. Then I realized that in a many obvious ways than I had anticipated. They were both YA in the classic sense and were also coming of age stories though in different contexts.

Eventually I began to see several connections between the characteristics of the protagonists in both titles. I also began to see a thread that in some ways but certainly not all, that tied the two together.

Anyway, I'm not sure how much of an impact either book will make in the minds of the buying public, I mean I-like any author whether traditionally published or an independent, faces long odds indeed. Then put a non-Caucasian face on both the cover and the author profile and it becomes doubly difficult.

Still, I decided what the heck, let's give it a try. I won't bore you with an extended synopsis of what the book is about. I'll let the sample uploaded today do that should anyone be interested in taking a look. Still, it is a novel, like Ashalon, that I am very proud of.

Any comments or reviews on it--whether you enjoyed it or found it wanting--are definitely welcome.
