NEW LOVE LOVE TEASER

THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
As you all probably know by now, I have a tremendous need to express myself! :)
I just posted over on FB, and wanted to make sure my GR pals saw this as well! I am completely humbled by all of the interest in my book, as well as the tremendous amount of kindness, generosity, and support I've received. I don't think "thank you" is enough, but it's a start...so when I say thank you, it comes from my heart!

TEASER #5

Brad brings my drink over and sets it down. My purse is a glowing mess, and it’s like playing hide and seek to find my money. While digging, I inadvertently knock over the entire latte all over the counter and watch as the warm liquid seeps under the cash register. Fabulous. My cheeks heat while my eyes squeeze shut, wishing I could click my heels three times and be anywhere but here.
When my eyes finally open, Brad appears to be counting to ten, and I can’t blame him. Grabbing napkins from a nearby table, I try to help with this wonderful mess that is my creation. By the time I return, Brad has it completely under control. “I’m really sorry about the spill,” leaves my mouth before hastily making my way out the door to escape the red tint engulfing my face.
I’m outside for less than a minute when I hear a jingle and see Brad standing in front of me. “Here, I made you another one. On the house.”
“Thanks Brad. You didn’t have to do that.”
“I couldn’t very well let one of our new customers leave unhappy her first time here.”
“Let me pay you for it. It’s the least I can do.”
“Nah. Take it. Just bring an extra roll of Bounty next time you come in.” I hear a rich, throaty laugh as he walks away.

Yeah, that's right, California. Palm trees, persistent sunshine, hot guys, amazing beaches. But I'm not there anymore. I'm in New York City now, which is also freaking fantastic. Energy, nightlife, great food, interesting people, and hot guys. Oh, did I mention hot guys. Sorry, I have a tendency to repeat myself.
I’m also a total klutz. Put anything in my way, and I’ll trip over it or bang into it. Either that or I’ll spill it, fling it across the room, well, you get the picture.
I'm a Libra, which is the sign of the scales. Pretty ironic because I'm the most imbalanced person I've ever met. Can't make a decision to save my life, and can't juggle for shit. Other than that, I'm a really good human being.
I’ve had a bit of a tough life, but I take it one day at a time and use my best coping mechanisms…The three C’s…Coffee, Candy, and Chocolate.
