My interest in fiction writing is to create intriguing stories with strong, engaging and admirable characters and a dramatic plot that explores philosophical and ethical themes relevant now or in the readers' lifetimes. To that end they are set in the near future where current technology is achieving its potential (in areas like artificial intelligence and genetic engineering), and it is the consequences and ethics of that which I like to explore. While I aim for good, plausible science as a background to the stories and plot, my primary focus is the story and its dramatic possibilities.
