Kickstarter Proposal
Okay! I’ve finally gotten a bit of new info on this Kickstarter project I want to get going. It’s not ready yet, but I have at least gotten some ideas together for what I’d like to do with it.
Asking:
I haven’t completely figured out what I want to set my goal at, but I’m not going to aim too high. Right now, I’m considering somewhere around $2500. I can always raise more than my goal, which will allow me to do more with marketing the books, but if I don’t reach my goal, I won’t get anything.
This is the most important note: if I don’t reach my goal, then I will not receive any money at all. No one is required to pay, but also no gifts will be given. The whole thing will be thrown out.
So keep that in mind.
This amount will allow me to publicize at least one of the books, purchase Kirkus Indie Reviews for Nevermor and Forsaken Dreamscape, help out with the cost of cover art, allow me to start having my books printed by Lightning Source, and allow me to start a marketing campaign for Nevermor.
Any extra money I can get will be used for further marketing/artwork/reviews for the Nevermor series/booktrailers, and possibly a website, but I do not intend to use the money for any of my other books aside from this series, and I will not use the money for personal uses.
The minimum donation amount will be $1. The largest, I think, will be $100.
The Proposal:
In my last post, I mentioned something about writing a new Nevermor book to help push this project along. I was considering writing this book anyway, and I thought this might be the perfect way to get myself going on it.
In addition to the gifts that you will be able to earn, you will also be getting chapters of an all new book posted on Wattpad for free! Basically, gaining units in Kickstarter will get new chapters posted.
I haven’t decided how I want the writing to go yet. I don’t know if I want to write in advance and post as the donations come in, or if I want to let the donations drive me to write. I’ll have to think about it a bit.
This new Nevermor book is currently going under the name A Sea of Dreams and Nightmares, and is going to detail the events directly before the Nevermor trilogy begins.
In this book, I’m going to be focusing on a period of time that is only vaguely referred to in Nevermor. Rifter and the boys are going to take the spotlight, and though Wren is not in this book, it’s still going to be awesome. (I just can’t get enough of them young, and I wanted to write another book in this vein before moving on to Forsaken Dreamscape which, as most know, changes things.)
In summary, this book is going to deal with some of these unanswered questions from Nevermor: What happened to the last boy, Cyprus, and why does Nix have so much of a grudge against Rifter for Wren’s sake? What happened the last time Rifter met up with the Scourge? What was life like for the boys before Wren came into their lives? And just exactly how evil is the Scourge?
It’s going to be an edge-of-your-seat, cutthroat action/adventure, with your favorite set of brutal, fun-loving boys… And I promise that there will be a bit of romance on the sideline, even if it doesn’t involve Rifter and Wren.
I don’t intend for this book to contain any serious spoilers for Nevermor. Like I said, this is a companion piece, so the things you learn in this book will be minor compared to what Nevermor offered. Still, it should fill in several blanks and just simply be an entertaining story.
So! Get excited! It should be in the works soon!

Gifts:
Now on to what you’ve all be waiting for! A cool thing about Kickstarter is that you’re getting something in return for the money you give. Gifts and prizes will be offered for certain dollar donations, and below is my current proposal for that. (It may change.)
By the way, the prizes roll over, so if you donate a higher dollar amount, you will also get the gifts in the tier below.
__
Less than $10: You are aiding in bringing chapters of A Sea of Dreams and Nightmares to Wattpad for you and others to read for free!
$10: Smashwords copy of A Sea of Dreams and Nightmares (after the campaign is over and the book is complete)
$15: above and Smashwords copy of Nevermor (will receive within 24 hours)
$25 above and a set of postcards featuring Nevermor cover/character art
$30: above and print version of Nevermor (to be mailed at end of campaign)
$35 above and signed print version of Nevermor (replaces print version in the above, so it is not 2 copies)
$40: above and Nevermor cover art poster
$45: above and SIGNED Nevermor cover art poster
$50: above and never-before-seen Forsaken Dreamscape cover art poster
$60: all of the above plus print version of A Sea of Dreams and Nightmares, signed
$100: Nevermor mother load: all above and print version of A Sea of Dreams and Nightmares, and an advanced print copy of Forsaken Dreamscape, all signed
___
That concludes what I have set up currently. I don’t know when this will actually happen – maybe June or July if I can swing it, but I have a few more things to figure out first.
Be sure to let me know if you have any thoughts! I’m interested to hear from you!

Planning a Kickstarter Campaign for Nevermor
I’ve known about Kickstarter for a while, have even considered it, but not seriously. I just figured that it wouldn’t go very well for me, but I’ve been trying to think of ways to market Nevermor/come up with more money to market Nevermor, and then Kickstarter came on my radar again. Just the other day, an idea came to me, and that idea paired with Kickstarter had me thinking “this just might work out.”.
For those who don’t know what kick starter is, it’s a site where artists (of many arts) ask for donated funds to make their projects come to life. We’re not in it for personal gain, but solely to come up with money for our projects. It’s like seeking investors, or signing on with a publisher or record label, but you FANS are the investors.
But you don’t just donate money and walk away empty-handed; oh no. Instead, you are rewarded with free stuffs when you donate, so it’s not like you’re handing your money over completely. You do receive things – often exclusive things!
It’s going to take some doing for me to get all of this together, but I wanted to go ahead and mention it as I prepare. What I’m going to propose is a plan to raise funds for a Nevermor marketing campaign that it so desperately needs to bring it to a larger audience, but I could never afford that on my own. (As of now, I don’t have a game-plan. I’m going to have to decide what I’m intending to do and what my goal will be, and you’ll know exactly where the money is going when I start this.)
I know that a lot of my fans don’t have a lot of moolah, and some haven’t even been able to afford to purchase Nevermor, but I will assure you right now that you will get product for the amount of your donation. I’ve already got a bit of a plan set up for the items you’ll be able to earn.
What I’m planning to do might be a bit different and unconventional, but I think it could work out.
Here’s the gist of what I’m thinking: You guys donate, and I write.
That’s right, I’m going to write a new Nevermor book, which is not part of the trilogy, but more of a companion piece, and for every unit I raise, I’ll post a new chapter on Wattpad for free (if Wattpad doesn’t work out, then elsewhere), the more I raise and the faster I raise it, the faster you’ll get those chapters. And! If you donate, you’ll be sure to get a free digital copy of the book after the donation period is over, even if I don’t reach my goal. So, if you donate, you will get to finish reading, even if others don’t join in to help you out.
Plus, you’ll get the opportunity to score more awesome Nevermor swag with different dollar donations – such things as signed copies and so forth.
I think it’s a pretty good idea, and it just might work out. I’m going to give you more information about this new book in a bit, but as I plan for this Kickstarter campaign and decide what exactly I want to aim for, I have to actually write this book. Once it’s done – or near done – I’ll be willing to get things rolling. That way, you’ll be sure that I won’t leave you hanging.
Just a note: this book is not Forsaken Dreamscape. It’s something new, a novel that is meant to accompany Nevermor, set in the world and with the characters you know, but it’s separate from the series.
That’s all I can really say for now, but the blog will be buzzing with info about this once I make some decisions. If things go well, I could be ready to go with this by next month!
What do you think of this idea?

Forsaken Dreamscape: progress and what’s changing
I’ve let the blog slip this month, but I haven’t had much to report. I set aside the month of April for Camp NaNo, during which my goal was to rewrite the first few chapters of Forsaken Dreamscape. I’m pleased to announce that I have reached my goal of 30,000 words and have pretty much gotten myself where I want to be chapter-wise!
It’s going well. I can feel the characters growing so much more this time, and the story is carrying itself a bit better in the beginning. I think this is going to work out.
It didn’t occur to me until yesterday that what I am doing with these rewrites is what I have done with every fairytale I’ve ever twisted. I take a story that’s already there and I note the elements I want to keep, and then I rework everything so that I can keep the important stuff but yet it flows in a different way. Simple, right? Eh…
In one of my previous posts, I mentioned that I wanted to make notes about a few things that have to be different this time around. If you haven’t read Nevermor, Forsaken Dreamscape, or if you want to be surprised, you might want to skip over it.
For those who are curious, here are a few things that are changing:
One of the most obvious things, I think, is that there is no crocodile anymore. Those scenes will be rewritten and fully re-imagined when the time comes.
Wren no longer has the fire breath, though I will still include the same idea and purpose for the demon kiss, just without that element.
The fairy character, Anasia Angeldust is no more. I always hated that part and reallly wanted to get rid of her. Now I have. Yay.
The Rifter character has been presented in a different way that I think everyone will find more agreeable and realistic to the storyline.
The circumstances for the corruption of the world have been adjusted in order to line up with the Nevermor storyline.
I think this covers some of the major differences within the first few chapters, at least. These rewrites will, I believe, show how much I’ve grown as a writer since I first wrote them 10+ years ago, and will allow this story to truly become something of its own. For those who only liked the beginning and no longer enjoyed it after it got darker, well, you’re out of luck. :/
I, on the other hand, am very excited for myself and for the story.
I’m getting closer to completing what I’d like to call my ‘first draft’. (Chapter 1-5) What was once 23,000 words has grown to 30k. Still, I’m a long way from having it ready. Many of these words are scattered around, but I had to cut into what I had, and in ways that was harder than starting from scratch.
On another note, sales for Nevermor have been, well, better than most self-published writers probably get, but still a long way from being great. Still, I’m thankful for what I’ve gotten and the bit of attention I’ve managed to get. Most of my readers have come from Wattpad (That’s only my guess) but others who have come across the book randomly seem to really love it. I’ve read it several times myself and I really believe in the book. It’s good. I just wish I could let more people know about it. I’m still working on all that.
One thing that has baffled me is that I’ve run Facebook ads and gained several hundred Likes, and though people seem to be responding to the idea of the book, I’m not seeing near that many sales. It’s sort of baffling me. Maybe you can help me out.
When you get ready to buy a book, what do you have to take into account in order to purchase it? Is it about more than just the cover and description?

Forsaken Rewrites – in progress
Storms… It was a night of storms.
That was the first line of Forsaken Dreamscape when it was a Peter Pan fanfiction, and you’ll be pleased to know that with only a slight variation, it is STILL the first line of Forsaken Dreamscape. The prologue is still the same for the most part, with only a few minor changes to details. Beyond that, however, things are changing – but it’s for the better!
For those of you who know what is coming, try not to fret. I’m keeping it as close as I can to the story that you love, but I’m “fixing it” as I’ve always wanted to. For those who are going to be reading it for the first time, I think you’re in for a treat.
For years, it has been a goal of mine to go back and rewrite the first 4-5 chapters of Forsaken Dreamscape anyway, but never had the energy. This is probably the best excuse I could have asked for. So far, it’s going well. However, despite what might be changing, I’m going to try very hard to keep many things the same, because I know this story has become familiar to you all. Many things are the same, and beyond Chapter 5 (or so) I don’t intend to change much of the story aside from details that can no longer be there, unless I decided to edit/add scenes. I already have a few ideas for what I can add to make it even better.
Rest assured, even after Nevermor, I’m a bit nervous about this. Even though many have reacted positively to Nevermor, it’s still a fear of mine that readers will think I ruined Forsaken, but I’m going with my gut. There are parts of it, especially in the beginning, that I hated either because of content or simply because of how I wrote it, and I’m on a mission to smooth all of that out!
So far, I’ve redone the beginning and gotten Wren off to Nevermor again, though it’s not perfect. It’ll need several more layers, but I’ve gotten approximately 20K words arranged, much of it new. I’ve been rewriting bits and sorting through things I have to see what I want to keep and what should be cast aside.
It’s going well, but there is still a looong way to go. It won’t be released until Jan-Feb next year, but I want to be sure I have it completed well ahead of time so I can know exactly where I’m going with the third book before I release this one.
From now until the release of this book, I’ll hopefully be updating you with tidbits and excepts like I did during the writing of Nevermor, so you can see some of the changes firsthand. That, at least, is the plan.
___
In other, yet similar news, Nevermor has gotten a cover revamp (same cover, different lettering) and it looks even better (especially with the spine and back, which I haven’t shown yet). It has recently been updated and is now available for purchase. Maybe I’ll have some pictures of the physical version to show soon.
Also, if you’re looking for something else to get you through, The People in the Rickety House has been released as an ebook and is also in print now: HERE
In addition, I’ve also been working on getting Roses and Black Glass: a dark Cinderella tale ready for publishing.
I haven’t quite made that publishing schedule for myself, but have decided to take it as I go, I suppose. However, I do – for sure – have at least one more book goal for this year that I hope will also go well for me.
I’ll tell you more about that later.

Forsaken Dreamscape for Camp NaNo!
First off, this is not an April Fools post, even though it’s April 1st.
I’m tying up THE PEOPLE IN THE RICKETY HOUSE which is soon to be in print! (already out as an ebook) I just have to get my second proof and make sure it’s right with the changes I made, and then I’ll release it!
Since that’s done, I can turn my attention to something else. (By the way, you should probably be on the lookout for ROSES AND BLACK GLASS: a dark Cinderella tale soon! That one is next on my list.)
This month, I’m going to participate in my first Camp NaNoWriMo, and for it, I’ve decided that I’m going to really get going with FORSAKEN DREAMSCAPE rewrites. So, it’s back to Nevermor! I’m excited about it. My goal is to work on my rewrites for the first 4-5 chapters, and if I still have time left, I might carry on with the edits. I’ve already started on it, but I intend to focus on it this month.
I’m going to try to update my progress on the blog, and maybe even put up an excerpt or two of the new stuff.
I know many of you have read it and know how it goes, but for those who haven’t, I may not go into too many details.
But it’s going to be better than ever! Finally, I’m going to be able to fix many of the things I hated about it before and get this story on track!
Just a refresher: NEVERMOR is currently available in print and ebook formats.
The print version is available HERE. (Also Amazon UK)
The ebook version can be purchased through several different channels such as Kindle, Smashwords, Nook, and Kobo.
I keep having people tell me personally that they really loved Nevermor, but what I really need is for people to review it publicly so that other readers will trust it! If you haven’t, please do this for me! Thanks!

Post Nevermor Update
I’ve been letting this blog slip a bit since the first book has been released, but know that I’m still working! I’ve taken a little break from Nevermor to work on a couple of my other books, and I just got the print proof for The People in the Rickety House, which is so exciting! I’m definitely addicted to seeing my books in print. It’s wonderful! Nothing like it – except maybe seeing others enjoy it.
While I’ve been busy with other things, this doesn’t mean that I haven’t done anything at all with continuing Nevermor. I’ve started piecing the second book together which, as most of you know, is already written for the most part. Now comes the real job of rewriting some parts, adding new material, changing details and making everything line up. I’m planning to do a bigger post about this later to give you more details about the changes. Some fans have seemed a bit confused (after reading Nevermor) about how I’m going to be able to use the same story, but keep the faith! Yes, there are details that must be changed, but the story is still going to be the same for the most part! Trust me!
To conclude this brief update, I’m working as hard as I can to put out as many of my books as possible, and I promise to spend a fair amount of time on Forsaken Dreamscape to make it the best that it can be! (The Nevermor series is still my main focus right now.) I’ve released Rickety House as an ebook, I’m editing the print version, and I’m working on Roses and Black Glass: a dark Cinderella tale all at the same time. As soon as I get it going, then I’ll start on another! I’m definitely setting myself up to have a busy year! Wish me luck and keep in touch for updates!

A break from Nevermor/Announcement of a new book!
As many of you know, I have a whole collection of works that need to be published now that I’ve started this; not just my Nevermor series. Some are fairytale retellings, some are original works. So, in between months sessions of working on Nevermor, I’m going to be moving some of my other novels around. I suppose I’ll be hijacking this blog to talk about my other projects just a bit, so that’s what I’m doing today!
The next book I will be releasing is…..The People in the Rickety House!
I wasn’t going to talk about this yet, but it’s moving on a lot faster than I expected – and faster is better! (I didn’t have the release of this book marked down until May, but since it’s pretty much ready, I’m going to do it very soon!)
I decided that I need to get as many of my books out as possible. I’m starting with some of my novels that are in the best shape as far as editing. Rickety House has been edited before, and I’ve already gone through my first round this time with very few changes! I may read through it again, but you can expect Rickety to show up as an eBook on Kindle and other channels very very soon – possibly within a week or two!
I’m not going to make a big deal with this one like I did with Nevermor. There is no release date. I’m just going to publish it when I think it’s ready, and then I’ll let you know.
This is my new cover for the ebook and, personally, I think it’s awesome. I wish I could put it into print with this cover, but alas, Shutterstock images cannot be used for Print-on-Demand services like CreateSpace. *sigh* So, in order to put this book into print, I’ll need a new, completely original cover, and I can’t exactly afford it right now.
I know that most of you have read this one, and I don’t expect you to purchase the ebook version ( unless you want to), but as with all of these books that I’m publishing, I’m going to try to give it a bit of extra flair where I can.
With Rickety House, I’m going to include a commentary in which I describe the inspiration for this book and how I connected it with my real life – which I don’t think I’ve talked about before. That oughta be fun.
Remember, I’m pretty much putting my own money back into these books as I make it (for covers and marketing and stuff like that) so if you DO want to see a certain one in print, please purchase the ebook and help me make it happen. If you’re an artist and would like to help me out (for free or for fairly cheap) then feel free to contact me.
I’m still setting up a list so that I can show you what books I’m planning to work on next, so hopefully I can bring that out soon.
Please Like my Rickety House page on Facebook to keep up with news but also to help me spread the word! HERE

The print version of Nevermor is now available for order!
You helped me choose the paper (cream-colored paper was the winner, by the way) and since that’s been done, I’m pleased to announce that the print version of Nevermor has been approved!! It is available for purchase NOW!
Here’s how this works:
I published this through CreateSpace, which is an Amazon company. So, like the Kindle version, the book can be purchased through Amazon. It is also available through the CreateSpace store, and I’ll give you the link for that shortly.
The price of the paperback book is $14.99 USD. Currently, the ebook is still $4.99, though I may go up on that at some point. Still, I want it to remain affordable.
I hope that’s not too steep, but let me break it down a bit better. I don’t mind telling you how much I’ll make off this book. I want you to know where your $15 is going.
Pricing: After it’s all said and done,( the price to have the book printed and Amazon getting their cut), I only make $3.68 from each copy sold. That’s all. I make slightly less off the ebook. That was my goal: to make the same amount for each and yet keep the printed book under $15, and I’m trying not to be greedy. I personally do NOT want to pay $10 for an ebook and I don’t expect you to either.
It is currently available through the CreateSpace store: HERE (preferred!)
Available on Amazon: HERE
Though you may have to create an account to order through CreateSpace, I’d prefer you to do so. My cut of the profit is significantly more (around double) if you purchase it through here. Even though the price is the same for you, you want me to get more of the money, don’t you? Sure you do!
There may be a delay for the book for show up in the Amazon Europe store, but keep an eye out! It is only available through online order. This is the extent of the distribution at this time.
Why can’t you get it elsewhere?: The reason why it is limited to only these places for sale currently is because, while I could opt in for expanded distribution for $25 and have the book sold through other retailers, I will take a serious cut in royalties if I do that. The prices will be divided up even more, (say if I sell it through Barnes and Noble, THEY will get a cut) and so my $3.68 will be reduced to a mere 0.68…. Even for further reach, I don’t feel like it’s worth it for me at this time. Maybe later, but not now.
So, there it is! My trek with Nevermor has been completed! (Well mostly.) Forsaken Dreamscape will not be available until this winter. I need to give this first book time to gain an audience – plus give myself time to work on the rest.
So, what’s next, you ask? Well, Nevermor might be finished, but I’m not! I’m still going to be working hard on promoting Nevermor and bringing it to the widest audience I can, but I’m also going to be working on publishing some of my other works and getting some of them into print as well. I want to create a publishing schedule for myself that hopefully I’ll be able to make public for you. The way I have it set up, I’ll be putting out several of my books this year! So keep an eye out for your favorite!
Thank you so much to all of you who have been helping me out by sharing the book, reviewing the book, and spreading the word! It’s very helpful to me and I hope you won’t stop! I still have a long way to go, but I plan to give you my best, as you all know I do. :p Thanks!

Second Proof/Making Choices
Alright! I got the second proof and now I’m just going to have a look through it. I don’t plan on reading it again because I’m pretty sure that it’s correct. I’m just going to be checking the formatting and then I’ll approve it for production.
The cover looks better this time. It’s not overlapping as much on the back and the text on the spine is centered better. The back cover is lighter, but it doesn’t look exactly like I hoped. Still I think it’s good enough.
Yay!
All is going well! I just need you to help me make an important decision about the way the book is going to look. I’ve got everything else like I want it, but I can’t decide which kind of paper I like better, so I was hoping you’d help me!
Here are your choices: white or cream.
White: When I first saw it, it just didn’t look like a real book to me. It was too white, like printer paper. As I was reading through it, however, the color grew on me and I started not to notice. The book looks new, crisp and clear. I’m not sure if the color will change over time or not. The main thing that bothers me is that when any light reflects off it, you’re pretty much blinded.
-
Cream: This color is much easier on the eyes,
especially in natural light, but it also has this old look around the edges. That may not bother you but it does sort of annoy me a little bit. Still, it looks more realistic to me.
-
Both types of paper are thick and of good quality.

Evaluation of CreateSpace book/second proof coming
Some of you are probably curious about self-publishing, and maybe you can’t decide which route to go, or if you are wanting to get a book printed, who has the best service? Here is my review of my book, NEVERMOR, which I had printed through CreateSpace. This is how I feel about the service and the product.
The Setup: As with all of these self-publishing things, it’s good to be a bit computer savvy. I don’t know all there is to know about computers, but I can feel my way around. You can pay someone through CreateSpace to set up the files for you – starting at $200+. And that doesn’t mean editing. It means setting the files up properly for print! I decided to do it myself, and with my moderate level of understanding, I found it pretty easy. It’s a matter of setting up your Word document like they describe (they even provide size templates), and then uploading the file into an “interior previewer” program which will show you your formatting mistakes. My most common were gutter errors. Some fonts are not supported, and the program will chastise you for that as well, but it will replace fonts it doesn’t recognize with something else. If you want your own fonts to stick, you have to convert to PDF yourself. I chose not to go through the trouble and simply replace some of my fonts.
The main annoyance: I got a lot of gutter errors and wasn’t sure why. I didn’t figure this out until just now, but the file converts to PDF for you, and even if you use THEIR template, the file does not convert directly over. For example, your page 1 may not have the same amount of words on it as it does in the interior viewer, and by the time you get to the end, there are more pages than you thought. This caused gutter errors for me, but once I figured it out, I was able to fix it.
So, ease of setup: Easy-Medium.
The Cover: Overall, I only had two issues with the way the book turned out (minor ones) and both have to do with the outside, so let’s start with that.
I’m not going to go into how I
set up the cover file myself, but THAT caused me some trouble and was the most annoying thing about the whole process, I feel. The cover, spine and back have to be one image, and it has to be centered and in PDF format for it to work, or else you can use a cover from CreateSpace or have them make you one…for another hefty price that starts at 250 for a basic one and goes all the way to $1000 for an original illustration. I hired an artist from outside to illustrate a cover for me, and paid wayyy less. As you can see, it’s freaking awesome.
Anyway, moving on to the actual product.
Resolution: The resolution of the cover image was slightly less than I hoped it would be. It’s not much less, but I’m pretty sure it’s not quite as crisp as the original image. Still, it looks good anyway, so I’m not seething over it. I’m happy. Also, I think the coloring is just slightly different – and felt that the back cover was a bit darker than what I sent (I’ll be revising some of this so maybe I won’t have this issue again with the second proof.
The Spine: My main problem has to do with the spine of the book. I provided my own cover based on a template that CreateSpace generated, which was based on the number of pages in my book. I followed that template down to the pixel, and yet when I got the book, the spine is not aligned properly. See? You can’t tell from the front because the spine is so similar, but on the back, you can see where it bleeds over. I’m going to try to fix this, but it is not done by following their template.
But on a plus side for the binding, there is a cr
ease down the front and back, near the spine. When I first saw it, I was like “ewwww I don’t like that” but after I actually opened up the book to read it, I decided that it was pretty cool. If you’re like me (I don’t know how many people are) but I treat my paperbacks like they’re babies, and am against creasing them in any way! Especially the spine! I don’t even like fingerprints on them, but that’s my issue. Anyway, these creases on the front keep the spine from being creased. Will the cover wear in those creases on the front? Yes, I think so. With a lot of bending (complete bending) I think these creases will probably turn white and mar the front of the book. Judge this as you will.
Some people believe that books are no good unless they have been sullied, written in or otherwise “loved” but I just can’t bring myself to hurt a book. When I finish reading, more than likely the book still looks like it came from the store. So, I do like these creases, but that’s my opinion.
The Inside: The inside looks great and I didn’t have a problem with anything about how it was printed.
Paper: The paper is nice quality, and thick. The printing is good quality and it looks exactly as I formatted it (could be for better or worse, depending on the type of editor you are). The only thing was that I chose WHITE PAPER instead of cream, and I am going to change it. It looks fine, but in some light (like natural sunlight) the light reflects off the white page so much that it is blinding. So, cream colored paper it is. I think it will be easier on the eyes.
Speed: The printing was really fast. I expected it to take several days, but actually the book was received and printed and shipped the same day! I had it in my mailbox by the end of the week. Very fast!
Quality: The overall quality of the book is really good for a paperback, and I’m very pleased. The binding is solid, the pages are nice and thick, the printing looks great and as a whole it looks very professional.
Overall, I think this paperback looks better/is better quality than most of the ones I have on my shelf, produced by the big-money publishers. I give it a thumbs-up!

In other news, I finished reading my proof of Nevermor, corrected a few things and changed some of the layout. Now it’s time to order the second proof and see how it looks – which will probably require me to read it AGAIN, but that’s okay. I want this done right. With any luck, it will be perfect this time, and then the book will be made available to you! EXCITED! Finally I am reaching the end of my journey with this book!
So now, what is next? As most of you know, I have MANY books that need publishing, and not just Forsaken Dreamscape! I’m going to use this blog to mostly talk about the Nevermor series, but just to let you know, you’re probably going to be seeing another book from me before the end of the year.
At least one more! :O
