Innerscape, Episode 3 – late but live. :)

At last! The price on Innerscape, Episode 3 has finally dropped to $0.00. It will stay free for the next 5 days [November 29, 2016 to December 3, 2016], so please grab your copy while you can. I know I shouldn’t say this but…Episode 3 will shock you. And that’s all I’m saying.

Just for fun

Couldn’t resist showing you a screenshot of an email I received from Amazon today :

amazon-advert-1

I’m thrilled that Amazon is sending these emails out but…you’d think the algorithm would be smart enough to know I’m not likely to buy something I published myself?

One of the other recommendations was a little odd as well because it’s for a novel I’ve already bought [from Amazon] and read. Still pretty chuffed though.:)

cheers

Already Happening: The Normalization of Trumpism – via TDB

There are things you know at an intellectual level. And then there are things you see and hear that make you want to throw up.

This is the racism that was NORMAL in parts of the US not that long ago. This is the racism that must not be normalised, ever, EVER again.

If you do nothing else, just watch the video and listen to what happened to one 17 year old Black American boy. Then ask yourself how good, law-abiding citizens could do something like this. The answer will shock you more than the act.

Just Merveilleux

“… Only the characteristic bluntness of a child, who proclaimed the emperor’s nudity as he paraded through the streets humiliating himself and his kingdom, threatened to break the spell. But when the boy spoke out he was quickly rebuked by his father, who assured the gasping public that the child was clearly soft in the head. So powerful is the compulsion to normalize the powerful.”

Source: Media Normalization of Trumpism – The Daily Beast

Interesting article- but that’s not the normalisation we need fear most. Yesterday I read a complaint that a reporter was offended by the use of the N word. Let that sink in. It means a reporter does not have the right to be offended by the use of the N word. This N word:

nword

Shocked? Offended? Good, you should be. Decent people who believe in ethics, civil and human rights should be offended. Why do…

And the winner is…..

episode-2-prize-win-001

Okay, I admit my hand written notes will never qualify me for Tattslotto, but the Offspring did a great job of selecting the winner and we both squealed in delight when we read who it was. EllaDee is only the second online friend we’ve both met in real life, and our lunch together was way too short. It truly is wonderful to meet people you’ve only spoken to online.

Episode 2 – last day

The 5 day free period for Episode 2 ends on November 25, 2016 in the US so Southern hemisphere type people still have a few hours to grab a free copy. And I would be so very happy if you entered the competition as well. There is no obligation whatsoever and you will have a chance to win a $20 Amazon gift voucher.

Anyway, here is the relevant info. again:

The answer to the multiple choice question can now be found in the Amazon ‘Look Inside’ feature below:

You will have to click the back button on your browser to exit the ‘Look Inside’.

To enter the competition, please read the first few pages [2? 3?] of the ‘Look Inside’ for Episode 2 [above] and answer the multiple choice question below:

Miira’s little black cat is called:

Rosie?
Golli?
Timmy?

When you know the answer, please type the name [or the corresponding number] in comments HERE: http://wp.me/p25AFu-2tM

[I’ve turned comments off on this reminder so I don’t accidentally forget to count someone’s entry!]

On the other hand, if you simply want to download the free copy of Episode 2, you can find the link here:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1H5S1E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1479624105&sr=8-3&keywords=kindle+Innerscape

And that’s it. In my next post I’ll be announcing the winner for Episode 2.

Jetman formation flying – INSANE!

I just saw this and I still can’t believe it. Jet formation flying with THREE jetmen keeping up with the flight of jets. And the music is ‘For the Win’ from Two Steps From Hell. How good is that?

-hugs-

Innerscape’s 1 star review on Goodreads

I don’t go on Goodreads very often so I was surprised to see two reviews of Innerscape, Episode 1. The first was 4 stars from the wonderful Chris James. The second was…well, see for yourselves:

1-star-review-of-innerscape

I know it’s not considered good form to respond to negative reviews, but in the privacy of my blog I’m going to buck the trend and say ‘Thank You!’ to Austin Myers. No one wants to get a 1 star review, but as it’s impossible not to get one sooner or later, I can definitely live with this one.’Slow’ and ‘boring’ is personal preference, and everyone has the right to like what they like, so while I’m disappointed, I’m also immensely relieved that Innerscape wasn’t described as ‘badly written’ and ‘derivative’.

And now, I’m going to take this opportunity to remind people that Innerscape, Episode 2 is only going to be free for one more day so please grab your chance to be bored for free. See this post for details:

Simply Amazing

I’m not quite sure what ‘Souldraft’ is – a forum perhaps? – but the artwork to be found there is gobsmackingly wonderful. See for your selves:

amazing-sculptures

These are just a few of the creations under ‘sculpture’ and there are heaps more categories, all containing stunning artwork.

And good morning world.

Happy dogs jigsaw puzzle

After three, full-on days of work, weeding, editing, tweeting, visits to the dentist and just life in general, I needed a pick-me-up. And this did it for me.
