A review of Office Sluts 2: Wild Adventures by Sandy Monroe
Ever fantasised about sex in the office? Then this could very well be the book for you... What can I say about Office Sluts 2: Wild Adventures that you won't be able to ascertain from its title? Let me say first what you can probably already guess: this is graphic, sexy and hard-core erotica. It's based around a number of hot, menage sexual fantasies and sizzling gang-bang scenes, featuring our male narrator and his girlfriend, Bonnie.
What the title can not convey are the number of characters and scenario's that Ms. Monroe uses to keep the erotic motor running. The sex is consensual, fun and rampant - I was left breathless just reading some scenes!
My personal favourite scene was the sizzling little menage between the footballer, the pirate and Batman - plus our narrator of course! (yes, you did just read that right! ;-) )
There is no compelling plot line and no undercurrent in the characterisation - these are just young adults having fabulous sex in and around the office politics... If you like your erotica hard and fast then this will tick all of your boxes!
I haven't read the first instalment of the Office Sluts, but based on the second, I have to wonder how any work gets done in that company! ;-) You can grab your copy here: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...
Enjoy your hump day!

Getting in the mood?
You know how some songs just get stuck in your mind? Ever since I watched the 'Magic Mike XXL' trailer (you've not seen it? Check it out here, ladies... You're welcome! http://youtu.be/RwPR0q5es0A), I have not been able to stop singing Ginuwine's "Pony"!
I recall the song from the first time around and to be honest, it's not my usual musical cup of tea, but wow has that tune embedded itself in my head! ... And not just my head it seems, because whenever I hear it, my hips start doing their own thing and before I know it, I'm feeling in the mood for something a little dirtier. It's certainly a good muse for the kind of scorching sex scenes I'm penning in my erotic sequel...
With Valentine's day fast approaching, it occurred to me that songs which put you in the mood for a night of debauchery are the musical equivalent of what I write! Together we're a great team! ;-)
So from this erotic writer, may you all have a truly delicious Valentine's weekend. Don't forget to let me know which tunes you choose to get you in the mood for love...

Who reads erotica, anyway?
There seems to be a commonly held perception that it's us girls who most enjoy reading smut. You know - curled up with your copy of Fifty Shades of Grey at home or getting flushed over your kindle on the commute? This was certainly my belief when I first sat down to write. I thought that I was writing about sexually submissive women for a predominantly female audience.
Now it's true that a number of my readers are women, but based on what little demographics I can access, there are also a large number of men out there who enjoy reading my erotica. It interests me that I can satisfy both sexes when it comes to creating an erotic tale. Perhaps it is specific to the BDSM genre and men don't read other types of erotica? I genuinely don't know the answer to this one, so I'd love to hear the thoughts of any men out there who do enjoy reading about sex!
I am also thrilled to hear from couples who enjoy reading my erotica together. I know of several examples where reading erotic tales (not necessarily mine!) as a couple have brought people closer together and rekindled flagging sexual desire.
As a writer maybe I shouldn't care *who* reads my work, so long as someone does! Yet it seems I can't help myself and I would love to know more about my readers.
So come on -comment is free - tell me, who do you think reads erotica?!
Enjoy your #humpday

The joy of chapters.
Happy hump day to everyone!
Today I am going to talk about editing. (I know... Bear with me.) It's not my favourite part of the creative process, but it's an important one and one which I take seriously. Like every part of writing, learning to edit has been a 'process' which is still on-going and (I hope!) improving with each book.
I am currently editing my novel. Being substantially longer than any of my previous work, the editing stage is a lot more work than usual, but one which I am enjoying. I have no idea how other writers work at this stage, but because I always just sit down and write (and write and write), I am left with a lengthy manuscript which needs breaking down into shorter sections for readers to digest, namely chapters...
So this is a first! None of my previous stories have really been long enough for chapters, although A Night at the Opera did have three parts. This time around I am faced with the tantalising prospect of how and when to separate my prose into chapters, and I have to say I am relishing the challenge!
As obvious as it may sound, chapters are making me a better editor! Thinking about the story in these 'bite-sized' pieces is helping me make my writing tighter, the dialogue sharper and generally adding some zing to the end-product.
I had never given consideration to chapters before. Even as a reader I had always just taken them for granted... But not anymore! From this moment on, it's hats off to chapters all the way!
Not long to go now until the book will finally be ready for submission (excuse the pun!) Now that's when things get really exciting...
Until next time,
Felicity Brandon

Tackling taboo!
Hello and happy hump day!
This past week I have been resurrecting an old manuscript and taking my writing to some very dark avenues indeed... It got me thinking about what constitutes 'dark' these days and what (if anything) can now really be described as a 'taboo' subject?
A taboo is generally defined as something which is prohibited or forbidden, so in literary terms, a taboo subject is a topic which is considered to be forbidden to write/read about...
In erotica there are some subjects which are more contentious than others. Scenes involving rape, incest, bestiality and necrophilia spring to mind, but this list is neither exclusive nor exhaustive! I'm sure we all have our own opinions about which are the most controversial and whether any of them really constitute a 'taboo' or 'no-go' area.
These things may not be to our personal tastes, but should any of them (or indeed any subject) be considered taboo enough to stop us from writing about them? After all, doesn't that just amount to censorship?
My resurrected manuscript doesn't stray too far into the world of taboo, but is leading me into the murky waters of non-consensual (or dark) erotica. As usual I will see where the characters take me and enjoy the ride...
Until next week,

What's wrong with being short?
Happy new year to you all! I hope you enjoyed and revelled in the recent festivities? Now it's back to January, work and for me - my writing!
For as long as I've been published, people have been telling me to write longer stories. Reviews have said as much and so have other writers... The truth is that I always intended to start penning longer tales. My last book A Night at the Opera was eighteen thousand words instead of five thousand, and my novel (currently in editing) will be around the seventy thousand mark. I am relishing the challenge of a longer story and enjoying being able to flesh out my characters, giving them both a history and a future.
That said, I still also really enjoy writing short stories. I consider it a craft in its own right, filled with its own obstacles and pleasures! I hope there is still a market for shorter tales out there. Do you guys still enjoy reading something short and spicy? I fully intend to create fiction of various lengths for some time to come!
2015 will (I hope!) be my best year yet! Thanks for coming along for the ride!
