ALL THINGS REGENCY
I was poking around the internet, looking for anything I could include in a giveaway basket, or to have with me when I do book signings and came across a site that makes dolls - Crawford Manor. These Regency inspired dolls are beautiful and after checking out their site I realized they are custom made. If I ever have a boat load of disposable cash, I'm gonna get me some.
They are stunning, as these pictures show.
These make me want to take a walk through Hyde Park in 181...

Monday ~ Feb 27
Welcome to my inaugural Monday Meditation post. I'm excited to share with you the overriding tenet of my goal with these posts.
"I have sought You with my whole heart; let me not wander from Your commandments. I have hidden Your word in my heart so I would not sin against You."Psalm 119: 10-11
I believe firmly the written word of God is more than '2000 year old letters the church quotes as its best defense'.(1) God's word helps us through any difficulty, helps us rejoi...

WEEKEND WRITING WARRIORS #19
It's finally arrived - the proposal! For all their bickering and misunderstandings, our lovebirds know when they have a good thing. Enjoy.
She was startled out of her melancholy when he brought her cold bare hands up to his lips and kissed each one.
"I...I don't know what to say."
"Say that you'll allow me to court you properly and after a suitable time, I estimate three weeks, marry me."
She focuses on their clasped hands, if she refused him, he would walk away and she'd return to London....

WEEKEND WRITING WARRIORS #18
Welcome!
I know I promised the proposal, but this little scene popped into my head for Book #3. Yes, I know. I still have to finish Book #2 - but the muse is gregarious. I wrote it down before I forgot. This is the first draft, so I'm sure it will be fleshed out a bit before it sees an ISBN on its front page.

“Darling, as much as I love our trysts, are you sure you won’t allow me to…relieve some of your pressure?”

As I See It
Where Are You?
Sometimes, when I'm reading my Bible, a light bulb comes on and the verse takes on a whole new meaning. One such passage was from the book of Genesis.
And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?" Genesis 1: 8-9

WEEKEND WRITING WARRIORS #17
And... we're back!
You've waited long enough for this, through several weeks of anticipation, I thought I'd finally share the proposal. Obviously this will be condensed from original canon because NO ONE can propose in less than 10 lines. Seriously. Who?

He paced to the edge of the terrace and stood by the balustrade, hands clasped behind his back. His attention seemed centered on the partially frozen lake bordering the expanse of the garden. She drew her shawl close around her body and waited...

WEEKEND WRITING WARRIORS #16
Welcome to my blog. Weekend Writing Warriors are a group of authors who post from a work in progress - or in my case a WIP just finished awaiting impatiently to hear back from a publisher (tapping fingers on the desk, humming a song, checking my e-mail every three seconds...). Our post can be anywhere from 8 - 10 lines. Do you know how hard that is? I ALWAYS want to exceed the limit.
I'm continuing to share from CAROLINE: Pride and Prejudice continued... as my newest WIP doesn't have enou...

WEEKEND WRITING WARRIORS #15
Hello again! Here we are, celebrating authors who submit 8-10 lines for others to peruse, comment and begin salivating for publication of the ones they love. Crossing fingers I fall into the latter category.
I've been posting my completed WIP <-- did you catch that? Completed. I typed 'The End' just this past week. Sooooo excited. Anyway, I digress. This snippet is from CAROLINE: Pride and Prejudice continued...

WEEKEND WRITING WARRIORS #14
It's that time again where writers share 8-10 sentences from their writing. I'm continuing on with my story of Caroline. I love writing the thrust and parry between hero and heroine, where they're not ready to admit their attraction to the other party.
Georgiana’s soft laugh brought Caroline's attention back to her and Lord Nathan. She longed to have the same undivided attention. Evidently sensing her study of him, he shifted his gaze toward her. She couldn’t look away, although her mind...
