WEEKEND WRITING WARRIORS #24
Oh no. In my last 'wewriwa' post the cultured thug told the other thug, Bill, to shoot the 'prancing dandy' first if they so much as moved. Doesn't look good for Lord George and the tasty tart, Evangeline.
Welcome to my weekly post for Weekend Writing Warriors. For more details about what this madcap blog hop is all about and to check out other authors, click here.
Now, continuing on with George and the Madame, who'd cried out, "Please don't shoot."

Fruit Salad
Thought I'd share a nice fruit salad recipe. Spring is trying hard to stick around and I can't wait for BBQ season to start. First we have to build our deck out back, but come May, we will have a 16' x 28' deck spread across the back of our house and I intend to enjoy every inch of it.
Let me know how this turns out. I make mine a little different because I have family members who don't like all the fruits listed above, but I'm sure this one is sweeeeeet.

Stay In Bed
[image error]
So, what are your plans for this upcoming weekend? Mine are to find a good book, cozy up under a blanket - either on the couch or in bed - and read.
I've been stocking up on Regency Romance novels. I think my Kindle is going to blow a fuse I've put so many books on it. How much is too much? I think books are like Tupperware. You can never have enough.
Have you tackled your TBR pile lately? I give you leave to enjoy the weekend with your newest book boyfriend. I know I will.
Oh, and remember...

Cookie Dough & Writing
What does cookie dough and writing have in common? Well, you’d be surprised. First let me tell you a story of when I first got married. I couldn’t boil water. Thank goodness for Better Homes and Gardens, ‘The New Cook Book’. Please note the break in the word cookbook, because this was a book for new cooks. Page 191 showed me how to make scrambled eggs. I kid you not – I needed a recipe for this. I also discovered Jean Pare’s Company’s Coming cookbooks, specifically the Casserole one, and...

REVIEW ~ CAROLINE
ReviewObsessed with Mr. Darcy ~ Mira
Sue Barr’s new novella, called Caroline is my first read from the author, and I have to say it is great. It’s witty, funny, emotional. The book is about: can Caroline Bingley overcome of her obsession with Mr. Darcy (we can’t really blame her, can we ) and let another man into her life to have a chance for happiness?
When I started reading the book my first question was: does Caroline deserve her beau and vice versa? By the time I finished reading, I was con...

Monday Musing
When my son moved back in after his marriage dissolved, he brought with him Beau. For those of you who follow me on Facebook, you know his as 'Kitchen Helper'.Beau has brought many laughs to our family. He scares himself and executes a one and one half flip daily for no reason. He sits by the patio doors and growls, hisses and cackles at all the leaves that dare blow around the yard. And, he sits like a Buddha all the time. Quite the sight.
I give you - Beau

REVIEW - CAROLINE
REVIEWDiary of An Eccentric ~ Anna
Carolineis the first book in a series of Pride and Prejudice sequels by Sue Barr, opening when Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bingley go back to Hertfordshire to propose to Elizabeth and Jane Bennet. Caroline Bingley is angry and distraught when she learns of Mr. Darcy’s engagement to the “country miss” Elizabeth Bennet, as she’d spent the last few years trying to grab his attention in her quest to marry into high society. Meanwhile, Lord Nathan Kerr, Mr. Darcy’s new...

The Music Behind the Woman
When it comes to musical talents, I have learned that Jane Austen really was somewhat of a proficient and a rather accomplished lady in her musical achievements. From the age of 12 years old, Jane practiced the piano nearly each and every morning. In the evenings, she could often be found performing at the piano for her family and friends.
Even at the age of 20, she was still taking weekly lessons and learning new techniques, which happened to be unusual, even for the accomplished women of her...
