Star Ratings PSA
I was just scrolling through the newsfeed when I noticed a book that I had already marked as READ.
Apparently.
Not only that, but I rated it with one star!
This was surprising on a couple of levels:
First of all, I never even heard of the title.
Secondly, my throwing out a bad rating would NEVER HAPPEN. As an author myself, I am well aware of the fact that I've given up my right to slam on bad books. Which is frustrating, but necessary in order to keep the peace in Book World.
If I were a blogger or a professional reviewer or even just a straight-up reader, I would feel an obligation to give a brutally honest opinion on everything I've ever read, and maybe to call out a few writers for their shadier practices. But as an author, Goodreads is not MY place to warn potential readers; it's yours.
On the plus side, I have the freedom to simply discuss the books I LOVE, without guilt that I was duping anyone with a bogus 4 or 5-star.
Therefore, if I've rated or reviewed a book, you know I truly enjoyed the read. And if I didn't? Well, you won't hear a peep out of me.
So, this post is an apology to any author to whom I supposedly gave a low rating. I'm guessing I accidentally tapped the rating box while scrolling?
Has this ever happened to you? How do I find out if I did this to other books so I can fix it?

Happy New Year (and thanks)!
I posted this on my facebook page, but I know a lot of you here aren't there. :)
Welp. January 1 will mark one solid year since Remember When hit the shelves, and I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone here for helping to make the past 365 days such a success.
This year has been incredible, and it's all due to YOU. (Yeah, you. haha) <3
In December of last year, I hadn't even hit "publish" yet. My mural-painting business had gone extinct and I'd just been let go from my job as a bartender at the local dive, scared shitless about how I was going to pull a proper Christmas together for my kids.
It was a sucky, helpless, shrinking feeling.
So, what did I have to lose? I threw my words out into the world, naively hoping someone would find them.
Yet find them you did.
I still remember watching that first sale go through. Still remember seeing that first review come in. Still know the name of the first person who ever wrote me an email, letting me know she'd be a "fan for life". LOL
And I STILL get giddy with every new review, every new email. Still get emotional from every beautiful message any reader has taken the time to write, simply to let me know how my books have touched them in some way.
That is priceless to me. And I guess I just wanted to let you know how much YOUR words have touched MY life.
And for that, I just wanted to say... thank you.
On that note...*raises glass*
I wish you all a Happy New Year, filled with love and laughter. I hope you'll join me as we continue this adventure for many new years to come.
Here's to a happy and healthy 2014! Cheers! <3 <3 <3

RW3 Requests
Hi everyone.
I have been receiving a LOT of requests for a follow-up novella to Trip and Layla's story. And while I haven't ruled the idea out, I just wanted to let you know a few things:
1. There will most likely be a bonus chapter included in the paperback version of RW3.
2. All of my stories intertwine. For this "Norman" series, I have at least three more books that tie into this trilogy. Even if I never write that novella, you'll be able to keep up with Trip and Layla in the background of future books starring some new, just-as-lovable characters. (I have recently added this info to the acknowledgements in the back of the ebook.)
3. Thank you for being so emotionally invested in these two. It really means so much.

Checking In
Hi Everyone!
Please bear with me as I attempt to jot down a few, disjointed thoughts.
First things first:
NOVEMBER 21, 2013
I wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the RELEASE DATE FOR RW3. It might feel like it's taking forever, but as a writer, trust me, this time is flying by much too quickly! LOL. I've made some good strides with this book, but just when I think I'm "halfway done", more ideas keep popping into my head, and I end up expanding this story. I have no idea what the final word count will be, but I'm trying to scale it back and just stick with the main points needed to wrap it up as awesomely as possible.
You can check out the new blurb for RW3 right here on Goodreads, and add it to your TBR. I'm hoping to have a cover to go with it in the next week or so.
On that note, I'm sure you're already aware that the PROLOGUE was released in July. If you haven't read it, you can do so here:

Remember When 3 Update
I'm still getting lots of inquiries regarding a release date for RW3, which, I gotta say, is pretty awesome. I love that everyone is so excited about it. But just so I don't have to repeat myself 20 times a day, I posted this on my fb page to help explain things.
Okay, kids. As you know, I'm planning five solid days in the Fortress of Solitude next week. I'm hoping to come out of seclusion with a completed rough draft for RW3!
At the very least, I'll have a Trip POV chapter to share at the end of it, and I'm hoping it will satisfy the Trip Itch enough to get everyone through the rest of the summer. LOL
My best guess for RW3's release is still a ballpark (late summer, early fall), but I promise to check in upon my return with a better estimate. Please keep in mind that aside from being a writer, I am also a wife, mother to two (3) boys... and it's summertime. The kids are home instead of in school every day, and any of you with young spawn can appreciate how little free time I actually have right now.
But I'm working on it. Trust me, I'm as anxious to read this final book as much as you are!

Remember When 3
Hey everyone!
Welp, today is the big day! RW2 has finally gone live, and I couldn't be happier about getting this story out to you all.
Of course, now that many of you have finished your read, I'm getting a lot of questions regarding the release of RW3, and figured I'd address that subject here.
RW3 is 100% written in my head, and already completely outlined on paper. I plan on doing everything in my power to fill in the many blanks needed to turn all those elements into a fantastic story just as soon as I possibly can.

Okay. So, as you may know, the entire trilogy's covers are getting a makeover.
And my very dear, very talented friend Dana has been hard at work to get them done in time for release day. If you'd like to check them out, please head on over to my facebook page to see the reveals.

Because, for some reason, I haven't yet figured out how to change the images here at goodreads. Computers... GRRR.
But they are sooo pretty! They look like little movie posters, which, ya know, is good. Considering the theme of the story and all.
