The Empty Hours

The empty hours.

Scentless flowers

Amazon Book Reviewing Policy.

drewdog2060drewdog2060:

The information in this post accords with my understanding of Amazon’s Review Policy, namely that readers may post a review of a book or other product they received free provided this fact is clearly noted in the review. Authors may therefore provide free copies of their books in exchange for an honest review on Amazon. However reviews of books not purchased through Amazon will not show as “verified purchases”. At Close Of Day

Let us watch the sunbeams on the walls

Your hand held fast in mine as evening falls.

The day has been long

Our race it is run

Let us go down with the setting sun

I use flashbacks in my book, “Samantha” to explain how Sam becomes embroiled in the world of forced prostitution. None of my reviews mention my utilisation of flashbacks so, in the case of “Samantha” they where, I hope employed successfully.

“Dalliance; A Collection Of Poetry And Prose” Is Now Available In Braille

On returning home yesterday evening I was excited to open a package from the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and find it contained my book, “Dalliance; A Collection Of Poetry And Prose” in Braille. Although “Dalliance” is available as an ebook with text to speech enabled, allowing visually impaired people to read it, I wanted my own copy in Braille and requested that RNIB transcribe “Dalliance”. It is a wonderful feeling to hold a braille edition of “Dalliance” and know that t...

OMG Shakespeare!

OMG Shakespeare takes the original plays and retells them using text speak, emoticons and slang. I can’t see how one could translate the beautiful and moving “to be or not to be” speech in Hamlet and translate it into modern language or (worse) into slang or text speech. For the article please see, (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3121419/Yolo-Juliet-Macbeth-s-killingit-Academics-horrified-dumbing-Shakespeare-Bard-s-greatest-works-retold-EMOJI.html).
