The Great Cycle
Walking in the woods yesterday I was reminded of this post.
Walking in the woods after rain. Damp grass caressing my naked feet, the scents of nature heady and pervasive.
Losing myself in the dark mystery, moving ever closer towards that which can not be expressed.

When A Young Man Named Nick
When a young man named Nick
Threatened me with his walking stick,
I said, “do you happen to know
The boxer known as big, bad Jo?”,
At which Nick dropped his stick!
When The Wife of a Man Named Ed
When the wife of a man named Ed
Found a strange girls shoes under their bed
She said, with a sigh
“I really don’t know why
You must insist on wearing those stilettos, Ed!”.

A young lady whose name was Wood
Said, “I shall always be very good,
But, whilst out walking one day
In a field of sweet hay,
She did what she never should!
A Young Lady Whose Name Was Claire
A young lady whose name was Claire
Had beautiful, long brown hair,
But when it did rain
She cried out in pain,
As her hair it turned quite fair!
Autumn has Come To Me
Autumn has come to me.
I see
The fallen tree
As I walk through the wood.
Though many a tree
Remains good,
I think on the fallen one
(Not long gone),
On Brexit,
An exit
And parliamentary democracy.
