Okay. I really need to be knuckling down. Blog tour is coming up and I have POVs to write, giveaways to prepare for. First I want to say thanks to everyone who’s given my book a go! Maybe you liked it, maybe you LOVED it, maybe it was a bit ‘meh’ for you. I can understand all of it because hey, it’s written in Australia, by an Australian writer, with Australian words, traditional Australian nicknames and last but not least, includes hot Australian men. So I’m sharing this love of Australian men with you as thanks for you sharing your love of my book with me. Aussiebum is the hottest underwear in Australia and covers some of our finest Aussie men’s bums – namely, the Jamieson and Valentine crew in Give Me Love. Oh and I could have added a lot more pictures but it was getting a bit crowded (and hot) in there so I’ve had to cut it down to just four (sad face).
Oh for the love of… Can someone please get that man on the bottom (pardon the pun) left, a lift? Seriously…

“You smoke?” I said disapprovingly.
“Don’t say anything to Jared will you? He’d pitch a shit fit. I only have a few a year, that’s all, when I need to think.”
Oh, well I guess that wasn’t so bad.
“What do you need to think about?”
The cigarette glowed red as he inhaled and his eyes lowered heatedly.
“You sure you wanna know the answer to that question?”
This should be the moment of escape, but I was frozen―desperate to know what was going on inside his head. Then I met his eyes and realised that making like an ostrich and burying my head in the sand was definitely the safer alternative.
“Uh, maybe not,” I squeaked out when I felt his hand come to rest on my knee as I stood next to him.
I trembled slightly at the touch as he reached over with his other hand to put his cigarette out. He shifted back to me, looking up at me from his seated position.
“I remember, Quinn, how you felt underneath me.”
My stomach pitched at his words and his hand smoothed around to the back of my knee and slowly ascended the back of my thigh.
Oh my God.
It was like a stealth attack. This man was sneaky, putting the image in my head of how it had felt to have his hot body crushing me into his bed.
His gaze hit my lips, still slick with hot pink lipstick.
“I remember how sweet you taste.”
I swallowed hard.
His hand slid up my bare skin, under the skirt of my dress to reach dangerously close the lace edge of my knickers.
“I know this body intimately so make no mistake that I want it again.”
His fingers began tracing light circles on the bare skin at the top of my thigh and I bit my lip to stop the moan that was making its way up my body.
I backed up as he stood and he put his hands on my hips to pull me flush against his body.
“How is it that I know all that,” his eyelids lowered as his gaze skirted my cleavage dangerously. “[.......spoiler removed........], you work for my sister, and yet I don’t know you at all. I just want to give you fair warning that I plan on rectifying that.”
I sucked in a breath as he leaned down, not so far this time thanks to the skyscrapers on my feet, and whispered against my lips. “That, Quinn, was what I was thinking about.”
He let go of my hips and stepped away and I shivered from the sudden chill the absence of his body caused.
I tried to find my voice.
“I ahh, don’t date.”
“Quinn,” he said patiently, “don’t think that’s gonna stop me.”
In other news, I think I’ve been a bit out of the loop. Am I the only one who didn’t know that Sherrilyn Kenyon has been a busy lady and Styxx is coming? STYXX people. My GOD. Added to my Goodreads yesterday. Booyah!

Giveaways, POV, New Book Teasers
It’s all happening soon! I have a Blog Tour coming up in 6 – 13 May – organised by a super special awesome woman! This is her (she’s a bit fierce):
When she told me she was personally in charge of doing this blog tour, I was like, GET THE HELL OUT!!!!!
I was holding back on this tour because I was waiting to see how Give Me Love (GML) was received but it seems as though you all like it! Not to mention I’ve received quite a few comments about Australia now being a destination on your bucket list. If you decide to put coming to down under on your to-do list, rest assured, we really DO drink that much. And yes, you WILL have to try a surf. AND yes, our friendships are that loyal – not many grumblebums abound in Australia, but if you find one, just offer them a drink. If you see me jogging on the beach – be sure to wave hello (disclaimer this is not me and you won’t find me running on the beach).
Although I hear it on VERY good authority that Casey is still single. Want to look him up? You can hunt him down at Maroubra Beach in Sydney where he likes to surf (sometimes you might see Evie there too when she can get her lazy ass out of bed).
So now you might be wondering what is coming up in the next couple of months for your favourite group of people. They’re very busy, particularly Mac who we know is usually a bit (okay, a lot) like this:
She’s just hired on Quinn Salisbury as her assistant because they now have music videos to produce, interviews, photo shoots, more tours to deal with. Do you think that might make Mac a little less rabid for the next book? We shall see – the only problem is, Quinn has a few troubles and who do you think decides he’s just the man to help her? Wonder why he decides that??
So what is happening in the blog tour? There’s going to be ebook giveaways, signed paperbacks, character interviews (want to hear what some of the gang have to say about each other? – I sure as shit do!). Also there’s going to be another POV or two thrown in there. Question is – which POV do you want to see – Jared’s? or Casey’s? Or both? Hmmm…..
So I know when you all got the news that the next story wasn’t Casey’s, you were all like…
Rest assured, Casey WILL get his story, but he’s got a bit of a past that we’ll see some sneak peeks of during Quinn and Travis’s story. It’s gonna take someone really special to get past all the hurt Casey is feeling.
So I hope you’re all looking forward to the blog tour as much as I am and I’ll leave you with this image, because you might have noticed my fetish for the BADASS SUPERNATURAL BOYS. Will the real Jared please stand up!

Countdown is on…..
So by now you probably know I wrote a book. And that the due date for release is March 15, 2013. Well the news is that it’s now in the formatting for ebook and print stage. That means for me, I am doing this:
Yep, the countdown is now on. Fun fact for you, the book ended up finishing at 120k worth of words. Editing was a marathon that had me doing this:
What I learned from the whole process of writing a book is the following:
Book bloggers are awesome, enthusiastic book lovers who are nothing but supportive to amateur indie authors.
YOU WILL drink more alcohol and eat more chocolate than during any other time in your life.
You can get your way by threatening people with putting them in your book and killing them off.
That writing is so much fun and if I could do this all day, every day, you’d probably get sick of hearing about my books and be all like, ‘Dang there goes that bitch Kate with another book. Let’s kick her ass, tie her to the ground, cover her in honey and sit back and wait for the ants to arrive – that might give her something new to write about’.
That my friends are super supportive awesome people.
That editing is a BITCH and I really, really don’t like it and if I hear my editor Max say one more time ‘what does this look like?’ I’m gonna do this to her:
Anyway, I am now dusting off my hands and passing the batton to my editor to format the MS and get it all prettyfied for my readers. Soon it will be in your hands. When you get it, I am crossing my fingers that you’ll be doing this:

So a little bit about me:
I live in Australia. For all my international followers and friends who don’t know the lingo, that means I live ‘down under’ and no I don’t wrestle crocodiles in my spare time because I don’t have any. Crocodiles, that is, not spare time. Brisbane is where I call home, a city on the east coast of Australia and only a nice 1 hour flight away from the Great Barrier Reef (which some of you may have heard of), so yes, it’s a beautiful place. I live with my husband and two kids. I also have two dogs who have made a cameo in my books, so I should probably add them to my acknowledgements for letting me use their embarrassing stories.
A little bit about my book:
This book was written purely for the entertainment factor. It’s got really big highs and some shitty lows, but throughout the story there’s action, there’s a sideline of humour, there is an ass-kicking best friend, a cute dog, a really hot guy (or 6), shopping, singing, a bit of dancing, some awesome car maneouvres, a few concerts, shit loads of wine, a guy who is super awesome, a girl who’s been through more than anyone could possibly deal with and well, there’s still so much more, but I’ll let you read all that to find out.
The basic premise is that Evie has been through A LOT in her life, including a broken heart or two. She is a trouble magnet, it finds her no matter what and after the last straw, she starts dating dorks because she figures she won’t find trouble there. Cue her best friends brother Jared, and oh boy, does he want her! But she’s skittish, and he is so far removed from being a dork that she is all over avoiding him. Trouble is, she makes that a little hard for herself and he makes it hard for her too. But when a stalker wants Evie dead, it lands her in all kinds drama and Jared does his best to keep her safe but well, shit does go down.
The book is quite a roller coaster ride that I hope you will be entertained by.
