I grew up in Hong Kong and graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Master of Arts (Honours) in English Language. In an unexpected turn of events, I became a FCPA (Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute for Certified Public Accountants). Life led me to Vancouver, Canada, where I graduated from Regent College with a Master of Divinity. I completed my Doctor of Philosophy at the University of St Andrews, and am currently the Assistant Professor (Christian Ethics) at the Divinity School of Chung Chi College at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
