Valentine's (Book A) Day Giveaway: Amour Amour

Today kicks off my month-long giveaway, Valentine's (Book A) Day Giveaway! Today's book is Amour Amour by Krista & Becca Ritchie:

Love is a circus

"Every day,” he says lowly, “I hold a person’s life in my hands. The circus is based one-hundred percent off trust. I give it all to someone, and they give it all to me.”

The best aerial technique won’t land 21-year-old Thora James her dream role in Amour—a sexy new acrobatic show on the Vegas strip. Thora knows she’s out of her element the second she meets Amour’s leading performer. Confident, charming and devilishly captivating, 26-year-old Nikolai Kotova lives up to his nickname as the “God of Russia.”

When Thora unknowingly walks into the crosshairs of Nikolai’s after-show, her audition process begins way too soon. Unprofessional. That’s what Nik calls their “non-existent” relationship. It’s not like Thora can avoid him. For one, they may be partners in the future--acrobatic partners, that is. But getting closer to Nik means diving deeper into sin city and into his dizzying world.

Thora wants to perform with him, but when someone like Nikolai attracts the spotlight wherever he goes—Thora fears that she’s destined to be just background to his spellbinding show.

This sexy and exhilarating New Adult Romance can best be described as Cirque du Soleil meets the steamy, athletic romance of Center Stage.

*standalone & no love triangles—recommended for readers 18+ for mature content*

Valentine's (Book A) Day Giveaway

I have a confession to make. I’m sure you guys have noticed that I’ve been M.I.A. around here lately, and that’s because I’ve kinda been avoiding social media out of guilt. And the reason I’ve felt so guilty these last several weeks is because…I haven’t been writing. *ducks, in case people start throwing things* I know you guys have been waiting for more books from me, and I feel awful that I haven’t been working on them, but I promise you, they ARE coming. In fact, I’ve recently picked up Declan and Savannah’s novella and am currently working on it, I swear!

So what have I been doing these last several weeks? Spending time with my family and enjoying my husband’s new job: stay-at-home dad. Back in November he was able to quit his job (a job he HATED, btw) to stay home with our girls so I can focus on writing. That would not have been possible without your support and enthusiasm for Down and Out, and my family thanks you for such an amazing, life-changing opportunity. I’ll never be able to thank you guys enough, but I’m still gonna try.

With that in mind, I want to tell you about next month’s giveaway! I’m calling it my Valentine’s (Book A) Day Giveaway. Every day for the month of February, I’m giving away a paperback copy of a romance book. To enter, all you have to do is like, comment, or share that particular day’s giveaway. You can participate on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or here on my website. Links to my social media are listed on the right ----->

Here’s a peek at what books have been delivered so far. Six are still missing, because they’re not out yet… Any guesses on what they might be?

Down and Out is #9 on this week's NY Times bestseller list!

Gah, I love that blurb! It makes me want to read it, and I wrote the dang thing. Seriously, you guys are awesome. Awesome, I tell you, A-W-E-S-O-M-E. I have a kick-ass giveaway planned as thanks, but it's gonna take some time to put together...

Okay, now I'm off to write more of Declan and his filthy, sweet mouth :)

Down and Out is now a USA Today bestseller! Also, I love you guys. Like, for real.

"Thrilled" doesn't even begin to describe me right now. They need to invent a new word for how excited I am!

THANK YOU, GUYS! Seriously. I would not be here without your support, and I wish I could hug every single person who bought a copy, because you have no idea how much you've changed my family's life.

I'm gonna be real with everyone--my family's broke. My husband works retail and makes less than $16/hour, and I stay home with our two kids. We live paycheck-to-paycheck, and sometimes not even then, because we'll run out of money well before payday.

See? (Don't worry, though, he gets paid tomorrow, thank God!)
Writing has always been a passion of mine, but until Down and Out, it was just a hobby that paid a couple bucks here and there. Maybe enough to buy a box of diapers or a tank of gas, and if I had a really good month, it might pay for our phone bill. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine Down and Out taking off like it did, and I owe all my success to each and every one of you.

So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for everything that you've done for my family and everything you've made possible. Our future looked bleak before, but the sky's the fucking limit now, and it's all thanks to you. I'll never truly be able to repay you guys, but I'm gonna try my damndest by writing the best possible stories I can!

Down and Out is LIVE EARLY, y'all!

*Don’t read this book if you don’t like snarky, dominant, tattooed men who say things like “Open your mouth, and I will,” after you tell them to shove it. And don’t read this book if you don’t like sassy, strong-willed, fiercely independent heroines who use phrases like “bossy asshole” as a term of endearment. You have been warned.*
“Tattooed package of sin.”
That’s how Savannah Ryan would describe her new boss, Declan Whitmore, the deliciously tatted and pierced fighter who holds the top spot in Boston’s newest underground fighting organization. She’d also describe him as bossy, arrogant, and—depending on what he does to piss her off that particular day—an asshole.
It’s that aloof attitude, along with Savannah’s witty comebacks and tight little body that land her on his radar. Unfortunately for her, Declan is relentless when he sets his sights on someone, both in and out of the ring. Unfortunately for him, this recently reformed bad girl is trying to go straight after heading down a dangerous path. She’s not going to make this easy for him. In fact, she’s going to make it—and him—very, very hard.
Declan’s not worried, though. He’ll have Savannah come hell or high water, because if there’s one word he’d use to describe her, it’s “MINE.”

Teaser Time!

Posted this on Facebook and Instagram a couple days ago, but forgot to post it here too. Sorry!
“What are you doing?”“I’m getting your stuff. You’re staying with me.” He says it without pausing, without even looking at me.I make a surprised choking/laughing sound in the back of my throat and say, “No, I am most certainly not staying with you.” I’m fully grown and have been taking care of myself since I can remember. I don’t need Declan or his handouts. Well, except for the job. I need the job.He sets a laundry basket on the pavement and glances at me. “It’s either that or you make room for me in your car. Your choice.”My mouth opens, but nothing comes out at first. I think I’m struck stupid. “Why are you doing this?”He glares at me. “Why am I refusing to leave an attractive girl alone in her car overnight? Gee, I don’t know. I must be some kind of asshole.”Anger flares in me, and I’m thankful for the familiar emotion. Declan’s got me all mixed up, and I don’t like it. “Point made, asshole, but I’m not some stray cat you can just take in.” A smile flirts with his lips as he nods to my pile of stuff. “Get your things, Kitten.”

Down and Out Teaser

I'm gonna be rollin' out A LOT of Down and Out teasers in the next few weeks, just FYI...
Declan’s eyes land on me as I pull out my chair. “I didn’t know if you liked mayo, but—” he shrugs “—I figured you could use the calories.”
I roll my eyes, trying not to let on how much that stings. “Sorry my body’s not to your liking.” I’m not blind—I know I’ve lost a good fifteen pounds in the last two months, what with not being able to afford luxuries like food and all. But coming from Declan? Gorgeous, “he’s so perfect I don’t know how he’s not photoshopped” Declan?
Well, his insinuation that I’m somehow not good enough hurts. The last thing you want someone you find attractive to point out is that you’re, well, not.
Declan takes another bite of his sandwich, his gaze level with mine as he chews, then swallows. “I never said I didn’t like it, I said there needs to be more of it.”

Down and Out Releases September 30th

Yes, you read that right. You guys probably thought I died or quit writing since I've been M.I.A. for quite some time, but I've been hard at work on Down and Out, and it's finally ready to see the light of day. A few quick notes on the book:

It is a stand-alone. I know I said before that it was going to be two books, but I actually managed to condense it all into one book. Yay, me! So there will be no cliffhangers. It's a complete story from beginning to end. With that being said, it is also the first book in a new series called Knockout Love. Each book will be a stand-alone that follows different characters you'll meet in Down and Out.The cover on GoodReads is not the final cover. I changed it, because I'm finicky like that.I haven't started on the second book in the series yet. I'm going to try (fingers crossed!) to wrap up The Hidden Series before I get too far into the Knockout Love Series.
I really, truly cannot freakin' wait for you guys to read this book. All of y'all will fall ass-over-tits in love with Declan. The mouth on that boy... *swoons*
So, yeah. Mark your calendars. Clear your schedules. 'Cause once you meet Declan Whitmore, you won't be able to put him down.

A Sorta-Kinda Update on Book III of The Hidden

I suck. There, I said it.
I've gotten asked by a few people now when book three's coming out, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but...I just don't know. It's kinda hard for me to have a set release date when the book's not even written yet.
*ducks, in case people start throwing things*
I know, I know. You guys want to know what happens next. And I'd tell you, if I only knew. See, this pesky thing called writer's block has been a real thorn in my side. I always knew who Emily was going to end up with, and how the general story would end, but all that stuff in the middle? You know, the actual plot?
Not a friggin' clue.
So instead of just sitting around and banging my head on the keyboard, praying the words would come to me by divine intervention, I decided to write something else. Something non-Hidden related.
And so, Down and Out was born. Only that turned out to be twins. Apparently I can't write a stand-alone book to save my life. Just can't do it. I also can't write fast, I've learned. I can type fast, sure, but creating hundreds of pages of words out of thin air that's not a mishmash of gobbledygook? Nope. That crap takes me months, apparently, when a lot of authors can dish books out like they're Domino's. It doesn't help that most days I'm mommy first and a writer second, but I digress...
So book one of Down and Out is almost ready to go, and when that's published, I'll give book three another stab. It helps that I've recently had a mini-epiphany with the storyline, so fingers crossed that I can get this thing straightened out.
So there you have it. An update to tell you guys that I don't really have an update. See? Total suckage on my end.

Down and Out: Get Ready

Mark your calendars, because the cover reveal for Down and Out will take place on October 11th! OMFGSQUEEEEE!!! I can't wait for everyone to see it. It's, like, seriously awesome, guys. Srsly.

And on that note, the synopsis:

“Tattooed package of sin.”
That’s how Savannah Ryan would describe Declan Whitmore, the deliciously tatted and pierced fighter who holds the top spot in Veritas, Boston’s newest underground fighting organization. Declan is relentless when he sets his sights on someone, both in and out of the ring, and Savannah’s witty comebacks and tight little body have just landed her on his radar.
There are a couple of teensy problems, though. Declan just happens to be Savannah’s new boss, which normally wouldn’t have stopped her from sleeping with him, but this recently reformed bad girl is trying to go straight after heading down a dangerous path. It’s too bad that Savannah’s new road to salvation doesn’t include pit stops for hard muscles, a beautiful face, and the prettiest damn pair of green eyes she’s ever seen.
Declan’s used to getting any girl he wants, but turning over a new leaf means too much to Savannah. She’s not going to make this easy for him. Her jaded exterior has kept people out and held her secrets in for as long as she can remember, and that’s exactly how she wants it to stay. But as Declan gets glimpses of the real girl inside, vulnerable and afraid, he makes it his mission to tear down those walls and free her.
What if this tattooed package of sin is all the salvation she needs?

If you run a book blog and want to sign up for the reveal, you can do that here.
