Curious about cuckholding—a kind of couples kink? (Say that three times fast!)

Then you wanna check out CROSSTOWN CRUSH.  Samira is married to Mike.  So Samira comes home from girl’s night out covered in men’s cologne so Mike can get jealous. (Cause it turns him on.)  Then he confronts her on it, and she humiliates him with a shrugging confession of his inadequacy. (Cause it makes him hot.) She spells out her need to get a good dicking by someone other than him. Which–you guessed it–gets him horny as hell. Then he goes all cave man on her, and ‘reclaims’ her, i.e. boinks her with a fierce roughness which she really likes, so they both get off.

This was a weird book for Cara McKenna. A careful book. Samira is going along with her husband’s kink and it’s with raised eyebrows that we readers follow her on that journey.

It’s like as she wrote it Cara was thinking “This could go so wrong in several hundred ways.” And then she just grabbed her readers by the hand, saying “I’m gonna explain this, and then, trust me, it’s gonna be hot.”

And that’s what she does. Explains and explains. Then it gets pretty hot.

Because what happens is, Mike and Samira decide to up the ante and get a real guy to play the role of the man shagging Samira in their fantasy life.  Enter Bern stage left. (Bern is short for Bernard) Bern is hotness on a stick.

I think this is a book aimed squarely at me as a reader. I’m like: cuckholding? Hunh? Whaaaa? I needed that intro with all it’s careful Reasons. McKenna presents Mike savoring the kink which works.  But when Bern comes on stage things heat up and get mighty interesting.

If you’re a Cara McK addict, this book delivers. She has that talent for being oh-so-dirty, yet still classy as hell.

Random aside: What struck me most was the emphasis on generosity in this book. (Note to self—include more of it in my romances.)

Moving on. Mike’s kink was cuckholding, while Bern liked to be watched.

Watching: Volume 1Watching

Click to buy. Only .99 cents!

Watching: Volume 1WATCHING by Bethany James is out.  You may remember that I talked about her great dirty book recs HERE. Read her story, cause Watching: Volume 1WATCHING is also about–you guessed it–exhibitionism. It’s a twenty-something’s gentle journey to the land of forbidden hot dirty sex with randy grown-ups.

What I liked best? Those little frissons she has during experiences that touch upon lines of naughty shame and transgression. I’d say both of these books are at their hottest when they put their finger right there and keep it there. Ooh yeah.  Just like that. Don’t stop.

Finally, if you’re like: why aren’t there more cuckholding stories out there? Why? Why? Why? Then check out our very own Isabelle Drake’s cuckholding short story The Pink Bow: 4 (Cuckold Beach)THE PINK BOW. It’s a short little f–kfest with a charm all its own.

And if you’re looking for the perfect dirty date for your own couple-dom, look no further.  Rachel Kramer Bussel edited this great little Dirty Dates: Erotic Fantasies for CouplesDIRTY DATES anthology just for you.  Buy it HERE.

Hot, Sweaty, Dirty. Got A Problem With That?

Hot guy with absBy Elizabeth Shore

Many years ago I had a single title historical published called Season of Splendor that includes a love scene in which the hero and heroine have hot, dirty, sweaty sex down in the basement where the hero is shoveling coal. I loved the imagery of that scene as I played it out in my mind. The raging fire in the giant stove. The relentless heat. Bodies coated in sweat. Here’s what I wrote:

He tossed aside the shovel and walked steadily toward her. Neither of them said a word. It was hot in the room – very hot. Fire roared from the coal stoves and the heat had long ago forced Devon to remove his shirt. As he drew closer Claire could see his muscles slickly outlined by the sheen of sweat covering his body. He crossed the room as gracefully as a panther, captivating her with the way his body moved. He was a study of masculine perfection. When at last he stood before her, she shook with desire.

Then, of course, they go on to have wonderful, nasty, soot-covered sex. That scene came to mind as I was thinking about our celebration this week to mark the release of our own Rachel Kramer Bussel’s Dirty Dates anthology. As I considered what to write about dirty dates, I thought, why not write about actual dirtiness? And then I thought of that scene.

There’s something incredibly sensual about messiness and sex. Think bodies covered in food, whipped cream and dripping chocolate smeared everywhere, tongues lapping it up. As I considered why that’s sexy, I started thinking that maybe it’s the relinquishing of control that’s the sexy driver here. When you get down to it, after all, sex is messy. Bed head, makeup smudged, not to mention the … er … fluids. But if you trust someone enough that you’re willing to give up that control, and give in to the messiness, ooooh the pleasures that await you.

OK, I’m good with that. But I’m still kinda hung up on what makes the messy so sexy. Let’s do a side-by-side comparison.

Young elegant business man leaning on a grey wall with his hands in pockets, looking away from the camera.

To be sure, I tried finding similar photos. These two don’t quite do the trick. The suit guy is taken from farther away than dirty pickaxe guy. Nevertheless, I pose the question to the masses: which one appeals? If someone, you know, twisted your arm and you just had to choose one of these two to take between your sheets, who comes out the winner? Now let’s be clear: I’m not talking about which one looks like he’d make a better living and know how to treat a girl in style. The edge would most certainly go to suit guy. And frankly, maybe the edge goes to suit guy regardless. Maybe the clean cut look will be our winner. I know who I’d go for. How about you?

After getting churned up after considering these two guys, how about grabbing your own man and sitting down together for a joint read of Dirty Dates. With the scorching hot kink for couples, you’ll be sure to keep your engine hot. And dirty.Dirty Dates

What Do Robot Women Want?

by G.G. Andrew

I just finished the final volume of the comic Alex + Ada by Jonathan Luna and Sarah Vaughn, which is a futuristic love story between a human man and a female android. Since I started reading this fantastic comic, I’ve thought a lot about romances between robots and humans–specifically when comparing Alex + Ada to the movie Ex Machina which came out last year and also features a female robot/male human pairing.

Drones aside, we’re not in a world of widespread advanced artificial intelligence. At least, I’m 86% sure none of my neighbors have robots. They’re certainly not having sex with any sentient ones, even if maybe they really want to. But in the world of Alex + Ada and Ex Machina, androids can talk and walk among us, wear cardigans, and kiss. They can be aware–and in each of these stories, female robots have a man interested in them, who sees beyond their machinery and wants them, body and mind.

But the question is, Do the robot women want them?

Tales of artificial intelligence are fascinating because they make us wonder what it means to be a person, not to mention the gifts and dangers of man creating life.

With stories of female robots, there’s an additional layer of meaning. I don’t have to remind anyone here that, historically, women have often been treated like robots to men: considered property, denied rights, asked to serve without question. These stories remind us of that reality along with the taboo-but-tantalizing idea of robot/human pairing.

Alex + Ada and Ex Machina present different worlds. In Alex + Ada, artificial intelligence is widespread, along with laws to govern its use, while in Ex Machina, this technology is still in its adolescence, with one man who has started to create androids in his isolated lab. But in both, there’s a female robot who becomes sentient while still trapped under oppression–caged or carted in a box, and in one case containing an on/off switch to be controlled by her owner.

They each present a small example of what it would mean to suddenly move from being confined to free as a woman–and what that would mean for how you felt about human relationships, love, and sex.

Both Ada and Ava in the film (played by Alicia Vikander) seem to fall for similar male types: kind, sensitive guys who treat them with respect. These guys, Alex in the comic and Caleb in Ex Machina (Domhnall Gleeson), are shown in stark contrast to other hypermasculine bro-dudes in their world. Alex’s neighbor tries to discuss having sex with androids with him like he’s comparing notes on the big football game. Nathan (Oscar Isaac), Ava’s creator, is the polar opposite of the sweet programmer Caleb she befriends–brilliant but an overly aggressive, bearded and often shirtless drunk–almost more ape than man at times.

So maybe that’s the first thing robot women want: caring guys who will respect them. Who won’t just see them as things. And both guys do find themselves surprised to develop feelings for the female androids and eventually a desire to emancipate them…and more.

But is it enough?

It’s curious to think, as non-robot women, what choice we’d make in these situations. If you were treated as a thing, as property, and you suddenly gained a taste of freedom, would you want to be in a human man’s arms? Would you run from his touch or crave it? Would you enter into a relationship with someone who used to own you, or used to observe you on a monitor? And what would that relationship even look like?

As a gender flip, in the comic Alex’s grandmother has her own android, Daniel, whom she beds enthusiastically. A hilarious and sexual older woman, she’s a great character…although the question is raised as to whether Daniel would stay if he was allowed to be sentient.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to share spoilers to either of these stories. Let’s just say Ada and Ava take different paths, at varying times, answering the questions their characters raise. When they’re both given freedom, they make their own choices. What they do makes us think not only what it means to be a person, but a woman.

Because the choice between love and freedom, passion and oppression, independence and closeness? That’s a question females have struggled with for centuries, robot women or not.

Follow us here at Lady Smut for more on sex, robots, awesome reads, and women–maybe but not necessarily in that order!

Wild Boys: High School Unleashed

My Demon Volume 1 (Noble Academy)Volume1

Click to buy the first volume. Individual episodes are .99 on kindle, free for kindle unlimited subscribers!

by Madeline Iva

So I read MY DEMON and my first response was: what high school f**kery is this? I mean, I LOVED it!

I know S.A. Hunter, and she’s an excellent writer. She writes YA and when she started a serial with the title MY DEMON, I was like: Finally! She’s doing full on paranormal stuff. (Her Scary Mary series is ghosty paranormal. And quite good too.)

But no. My Demon is not paranormal. Yet when I read it I had to ask myself: is this contemporary Y.A.?

In the end I’d have to say, nooo.

It’s really a genre I’ve come to think of as High School Fantasy Drama. It’s not ‘real’ high school, it’s billionaire high school. But like, really twisted.  We’re talking Vampire Academy, Pretty Little Liars on steroids, Gossip Girl, etc.

You can sense an Asian influence in this genre as well. I’m sure it comes from manga comics too (think MARIA HOLIC), but I associate it with KDrama, aka Korean Drama.

Our heroine is attending an elite high school so perverse, so messed up and totally un-politically correct that not being wealthy, she’s stalked and threatened with violence. And that’s just the first day! The assassination attempts come later.

She is tormented by a billionaire wild boy, one who is inexplicably drawn to her.  What’s even more outrageous: the school authorities expected her to somehow tame this demon into a functional teenager.

There are mysteries, and layers to her personal demon.  He plays hot and cold, he misbehaves or is an overprotective angel–everything you’d want in a post-pubescent alpha hero on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

What did I love? Oh, you know, just how messed up it was, along with the sexual tension between hero and heroine.  I feel like it’s almost more for adults than teens. We watch the heroine getting gradually sucked in deeper and deeper into a world where she’s bonding with people who (like the monsters in paranormal romance) live in a world so very different from her own, that merely becoming their friend is involving herself in high-risk stakes.

I think you romance people out there would relish it.

Ultimately, (she says, going deep) what S.A. Hunter is doing here is bringing forth a demon from her subconscious. The demon taunts us with  our attraction towards what’s dangerous and disgusting about aggressive, entitled ‘boys’ and mocks our own perversity. That whole ‘he’s just misunderstood’ motif is tipped out, shaken up, crushed, and then pulverized in this story.  It’s like forbidden candy.  You just gotta gobble it down.

So check out the first half of the series now – My Demon Volume 1 (Noble Academy)HERE.

Speaking of throwing desks–

I also read a story called “Come Undone: Romance Stories Inspired by the Music of Duran DuranWILD BOYS” by our very own C. Margery Kempe. This story is part of an homage to Duran Duran.  The entire collection is called Come Undone: Romance Stories Inspired by the Music of Duran DuranCOME UNDONE: Stories Inspired by the Music of Duran Duran.

So C. Margery Kempe’s story “WILD BOYS” is taken from the DuranDuran song ‘Wild Boys’. The story is m/m, and post-apocalyptic and set in a boy’s reformatory – gone wild – after the apocalypse. You’re thinking, okay, Lord of the Flies, and it does have a harsh beginning, but actually, it’s incredibly sweet. I loved the romance in it.  I think it’s my fav story by C. Margery Kempe so far.

Like Duran Duran? Buy the anthology with C. Margery Kempe’s story in it Come Undone: Romance Stories Inspired by the Music of Duran DuranHERE.

Here’s song/video WILD BOYS.  It’s MadMax 3 (Tina Turner edition) meets British prep school.

Though here’s my fav Duran Duran song.  It’s so cheesy 80’s it hurts:

Class Is In Session At The Porn Academy

Close-up of couple having sexBy Elizabeth Shore

Where I grew up in the relatively sheltered midwest, when we thought of our future careers the process went roughly like this: graduate high school, go to college, declare a major in something like accounting, graduate and get a job as an accountant. The end.

How times have changed! Now there are more options than ever available for aspiring youth, and college courses to go right along with them. Web Developer. Business Analytics. Entrepreneur. Porn Star. Wait … what?

Yes indeedy. Porn star. Leave it to the “Italian Stallion,” a.k.a. Italian porn star Rocco Siffredi, to launch the University of Porn for aspiring stars. Certainly he’s got the creds to do it. With over, 1,300 porn flicks on his bio, including such hits as The Ass Collector and Buttman’s Bend Over Babes 4, Rocco knows a thing or two about performing under the lights. He made a name for himself for his “gonzo style” pornographic films and has been in sex scenes ranging from traditional to extreme. But, like anyone, Rocco’s getting a little older and needs to spread his wings. So passing along his knowledge of the industry and how to make it is included in the Porn Academy’s curriculum.

Of course, with the declared major being a film endeavor, why waste pointless time in classrooms? In tandem with his University of Porn, Siffredi has launched his HARD Academy reality show – whose episodes can be viewed via the wonders of a YouTube subscription channel – to document his teachings. In it he talks about such things as what sex positions work best for the camera, and how you can appear “believable” in your scenes.

When Siffredi announced the launch of the reality show, he received applications from thousands of aspiring hopefuls. Lots of people, apparently, are open to the idea of getting paid to have sex on camera. But why?

I did a little digging and found some interviews among active and former female porn stars about why they entered the biz to begin with. Their initial reasons were varied, but something interesting happened along the way. They all found that being in porn allowed them to freely express themselves sexually in ways that they never could before. Former star Satine Phoenix put it like this: “That specific style of sexual empowerment, being able to wield sexuality as power — I needed to do that in order to be able to turn into the woman I am now.”

Hmmm. Porn as empowerment? I see a parallel to why some of us write erotic romance. Describing the sexual experience so that it’s arousing to the reader is certainly empowering, just as I imagine being expressive as an actor in sex scenes accomplishes the same, at least for some. So if you want to “reveal” yourself in all your glory on camera and need the inside scoop on how to do it, perhaps the Italian Stallion can teach you tricks of the trade. Interested? You can write for information at academy@roccosiffredi.com or  – if you speak Italian – check out his YouTube introductory video.

What do you think? Would you ever consider being a porn star? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to follow us at Lady Smut. Hit that little button on the right. Go on, you know you want to.

Coming and Going: One Woman, One Apartment, and One Crucial Box

Trust me. You want to get involved with this.

Trust me. You want to get involved with this.

By Alexa Day

I’ve just moved. Well, in fairness, it’s been about two weeks; it’s not like it just happened. But each time I relocate, I’m reminded of why moving ranks among the First World’s most traumatic experiences.

I’m still in the process of unpacking my kitchen; whenever I think I’m making headway, I find more boxes of kitchen things. The bedroom is so full of boxes that the cats and I are limited to one narrow path leading to the bathroom and then on to the stairs. I keep having to ask myself if I still have certain fondly remembered outfits or if they were sacrificed to the Great Pre-Move Purge and Giveaway.

Still, I’m glad — or as glad as a person can be under these conditions — that the transition is underway.

What’s getting me from day to day? My Go Box.

The Go Box is a sturdy, well marked, easily accessible box that I pulled aside early in the packing process. I make sure that the Go Box travels with me. Like the laptop and my purse, it’s too important to go with the movers. It contains all the essentials that I knew I’d need in those first crucial weeks in the new place.

Cat litter. The shower curtain. Toilet paper. The corkscrew. Condoms. You know, the really important stuff.

So this week, while I try to find the good raincoat and work on choosing a new neighborhood bar, I thought I’d share the real gems from the Go Box.

Of course, my Kindle qualifies as a Go Box essential. I packed the new one that I won in a raffle at the Blushing Books Passionate Pen conference. For practical purposes, it functions as a backup connection to my email, but for the next little while, it’s also going to be the source of my pleasure reading. Right now, I’m using it to snuggle up with Shoshanna Evers’s Beast: The Untold Legend, a wonderfully dark fantasy romance with some of my very favorite things. Hot, sexy abduction … hot, sexy transformations … hot, sexy power play … and of course, hot, sexy sex. I can’t imagine when I’ll get around to unpacking books, so the new Kindle and Shoshanna are really getting me through a rough patch.

I made sure to put a couple of favorite DVDs in the Go Box as well. Blazing Saddles and The Hunt for Red October are sharing time in the DVD player until I can really settle down and figure out how much cable I have. I had probably seen each of them 30 times or so before I moved, so they’re like very old friends. Especially Red October. Alec Baldwin will always be Jack Ryan to me, and vintage Sam Neill is a great companion when you’ve lost the damned scissors for the fiftieth time in one day.

Most importantly, I’ve got the Redweld containing my WIP snugly tucked away in the Go Box. For a long time, it was hanging out on the edge of the bed because I couldn’t figure out where it fit in my career plans. But now I think I’ve made some decisions, so I’m ready to move forward with it. Finally.

By now, two weeks in, I’ve made the pledge that I’ll never move again, which I recognize as just another part of the relocation ritual. Part of me just wonders why I can’t pare my life down to the stuff in the Go Box. Why can’t I minimize my complicated life more?

Funny how one shoebox full of hot cocoa mix can make all those questions fade away, isn’t it?

Follow Lady Smut. We’ll make sure to get your mail forwarded.
