Uncensored Vol. 1 and Birthday Celebrations Tomorrow!

Hi, Scribblers!

It's been quite a bit since my last post, and I have a very good explanation for that - which I'll have to talk about in another post because it's quite a story. Anyway, I'm excited to let you guys know that the first installment of 'Uncensored' will be out tomorrow, and just in time for my birthday! Woot woot. Lol. So tomorrow, we'll be celebrating with a new book, lots of booze, and some birthday cake (Rhianna style, lol). I'll have the links up under the 'Books' tab on the blog as soon as it's live. Alrighty, that's all for now. I'll talk to you guys soon.

Much love,

Eme <3

UPDATE TIME!!!

Hey, Scribbies!

I'm super sorry I haven't really been in touch this last week. The first installment of 'Uncensored' is still undergoing its final editing and formatting stage and should be out next week. I know you guys have been waiting not-so-patiently for it, but I promise, it's coming soon (no pun intended, you pervs :-) ). I've decided to change certain aspects of 'Sync', so its first installment's release date is yet TBD, but you will receive updates on its developments. On another note, I'm in the early stages of a brand new story that was brewing in my head while I was working on finishing up the second installment of The Basilisk's Creed. I'm so excited for it that I didn't waste any time getting the cover design done. And here it is:

Yeah.Fun stuff :). I can't let in on any details of it right now, but I will as soon as I'm at least half-way done with the first installment (which, at the rate I'm going, will be pretty darn soon, lol). On  a general note, since I made my decision to publish in installments, I plan on releasing one installment  every month on average, and I'll soon be posting a tentative publishing schedule so that you guys know what's coming out when. Anyhu, I just wanted to fill you guys in on what's going on and what's going to be happening in the near future. If you haven't liked my Facebook page yet, be sure to do so. You don't wanna miss out :). And if you haven't left your reviews of either The Basilisk's Creed or Kinked on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Goodreads, please do so as well. I truly appreciate each and every one of you guys' feedback and support <3.Until next time...
Much love,
Eme <3

The Basilisk's Creed is Now Available on Amazon's Kindle!

Hello, my lovely Scribblers!

I'm just popping in really quickly to say that The Basilisk's Creed (The Basilisk's Creed #1) is now available on Amazon's Kindle, and will be available on the Barnes and Noble website, Kobo, and Google Books in the next few days. Just click on the link above and it'll take you directly to it. I was supposed to write this post yesterday, but unfortunately, I didn't have access to my laptop for most of the day (which explains why this is being posted so early in the morning). Nonetheless, some of you guys were super duper punctual and already bought it. I'm pretty darn impressed and flattered. Lol.
Remember, you don't need a Kindle to read a Kindle ebook. You can either download the Kindle app on to your digital device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc), which is available for free on Amazon, or use the Amazon Cloud Reader which Amazon also lets you use for free (which is what I usually use to read ebooks).
You can also electronically lend it to friends/family once you're done reading so you don't need to purchase multiple copies to give others unless you absolutely want to. Please feel free to tell your friends and anyone else you know about the story if you like it (both offline and online), and I would definitely appreciate it if you guys reviewed it on Amazon (and Goodreads if you have an account there) once you're done. Not only does this help other people who may be interested in it make an informed decision on purchasing it, but your feedback and constructive criticism is fundamental to my growth as a writer :). I anticipate that the second installment will be released in early October, possibly sooner. Thanks for reading, supporting, and spreading the word, everyone, and be on the lookout for the first installments of Sync, Kinked, and Uncensored (The Scarlet Key)!
Until next time...enjoy hanging out with Matt and Eli :).

Much love,

Eme <3

Hi, everyone!

Happy frickin' 4th of July!!! I hope you're all enjoying a relaxing day off eating delicious food, drinking lots of beer, and being surrounded by friends and family. It certainly can't get any better than that.

...Or can it?

Lol. Yes.

Yes, it can.

So here's a piece of knowledge that'll give you more to celebrate and make this holiday even better.
The first installment of The Basilisk's Creed will be out TOMORROW! It will be available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Kobo. I'll be posting the links on here as soon as they're available tomorrow. Although the release is a week later than originally planned, I'm glad you guys hung in there and I hope you all enjoy the installment immensely. Talk you guys tomorrow!
Until next time...which will be tomorrow. Lol.

Much love,

Publication Update, Y'all!

Hi, Scribblers!

I hope you guys are having a great middle of the week and are excited for some Fourth of July F&F (Food and Fun) tomorrow! I have some developments/updates concerning the books that I want to share with you guys. If you're on my mailing list and have read my most recent email update, then you already know what I'm about to say. But for everyone else, this is pretty much what I said in the email.

So after a lot of thought and deliberation, I have decided to publish all the stories, including the Basilisk's Creed, in installments (or more commonly known as serializations). The installments will be shorter (about 20,000 words each) and hence cheaper than full length novels (which are typically 50k to 80k words). I have several reasons for choosing to publish this way, and the main ones are as follows.

1) I work on multiple stories at any given time (that's just my writing process) and I find it far less overwhelming to get work completed if I do each project in segments. Please note that I also work on screenplays and other non-writing projects that tend to be time consuming, so working in segments keeps me relatively sane :).

2) I will be able to get stories out to you guys much quicker than I would if I had to complete each full length novel before publishing it. I think this is a win-win for all of us. #charliesheening!

3) This is a pretty important reason and probably the most important of all. The stories in my head are fairly open-ended. That means the more time I get to spend on them, the better they tend to get. It's also very hard for me to comfortably write a story, all the while feeling compelled to end it at some point. I know that sounds weird, as every story technically has some kind of end, but I like to keep writing until that end comes naturally, i.e. I have absolutely nothing more to write about on that particular story. Like, NOTHING. Lol. Otherwise, I'd feel like I'd be ending it somewhat prematurely. That's not to say I'll write irrelevant ish just to keep a story going, but at the same time, I don't want the stories to feel rushed in any way.

4) Following from the above reason, I feel like both readers and writers develop stronger relationships with fictional characters (or anyone/anything, really) the longer they read/write about them. I have fairly complex characters and I feel like readers won't really get to know them as well from one or two books as opposed to a longer serialization over time. Think of how you view movies to TV shows. Both are great, but TV shows become more integral in your everyday life because you tune in weekly and follow the show over a longer period of time, instead of two or three hours at a movie.

I hope you guys understand why I'm making this change and I'm confident that it benefits everyone involved.
That said, the first installments of each of the stories will be published on Amazon sometime this month. Stay tuned for the exact date :).

Last but not least, if you haven't gotten your copy of  A Weasely World: The Grown Toddler's Tribute to Cheating Bastards , do so by clicking the link. Happy Wednesday and I'll talk to you guys soon!
Until next time...

Much love,

Eme <3

A Weasely World: Get your copy NOW!

Hi, Scribblers!

So I've decided to go ahead and make some changes with the book releases and this whole book release schedule. Initially, I wanted to release all five books on the same day, but since there have been some delays with some of the books, I've decided to release the ones that are good to go whenever they're good to go. And 'A Weasely World: The Grown Toddler's Tribute to Cheating Bastards' is good to go. Lol. It's such a fun and 'laugh your fucking ass off' kind of book that anyone who has even a little sense of humor can truly appreciate it. If you've read 'Go the F**k to Sleep' by Adam Mansbach or anything similar, then you will love this book. I promise :). The illustrations are pretty neat if I do say so myself. So go ahead and give it a try. I'll also be giving away ten free copies to the first ten people on my freebie list (you know who you are, lol) who message me for one. You can get your copy of 'A Weasely World: The Grown Toddler's Tribute to Cheating Bastards' now! The paperback version will be coming out soon. I'll keep you guys posted on any more developments as the days go by. Enjoy and be on the lookout for The Basilisk's Creed and the other books!
Until next time...

Much love,

Eme <3

Some Bad News :(

Hi, Scribblers!

It's been a while, huh? Christ, I swear the last two months have been absolutely exhausting. Unfortunately, things aren't exactly going how I had hoped they would as far as the books are concerned. I've had to deal with a recent chain of events that's making getting these books polished and published really difficult. My primary editor and book formatting expert is going through a personal crisis, and certain issues have come up in my life that need to be taken care of immediately. That pretty much puts the books on the back burner for a while.  That said, I have some bad news. Usually, people  have some good news and  some bad news. However, your girl Eme has bad news and worse news. Smdh. Well here we go.
The bad news is that the book releases will have to be postponed. The worse news is that I cannot give you guys an exact date for it yet, but it will still be this summer. I sincerely hope we can get them out to you guys and the rest of the world sometime in July, but if not, then August for sure. Let's just hope it doesn't come to that and we don't have to wait that long :). Anyways, that's it for now. Let me know if you guys have any questions or concerns regarding the delay. I'll talk to you guys soon.
Until next time...

Much love,

Eme <3
