Water, light and sky
This image appeared in a previous set of photos but I like it so much it is getting a post of its own.

Going
That creature in the window disguised as a human child is known to me as Aileen, and that thing that looks like a somewhat futuristic building is about to depart after a masterful period of "hiding in plain sight". Aileen's work is done for now. I'll miss her.
There are going to be some puzzled people viewing the gap in the architecture tomorrow, and they won't believe the explanations that I offer. Nobody ever does.
Bye bye...

A place to ponder
As discussed elsewhere recently, I rather think that when we think we are taking a decision all that we are really doing is giving the unthinking chemistry in our brain the time to settle into a pattern of neuronal activity that makes us feel clear about what we 'want' to do, even though the idea that we have freely decided what we want may be delusional, whatever 'we' are, ... but whatever... I did find a nice place to do it today,
and I hope the chemistry in my head made a good decision for me this time because I am getting a bit fed up with it messing everything up for me. I'll give it a stern talking to.

Plant Puzzle 3

What have we here, with all those interestingly patterned buds about to burst into more deep blue flowers? I have no idea, although I may invent my own name for everything and call them Bluebudders... Who do we think we are telling the planet's species what they are called? I wonder what they would call us? The Uglywreckers, perhaps. Anyway, if you know what we call it please let me know.

Plant Puzzle 2
After the recent success of the wild garlic identification I should perhaps try a few more. I know a few names of what we have (such as daffodils, tulips, buttercups, daisies, rhus, grass, nettles, cow parsley, thistles, heather, quince, rhodendendron, birch, alder, dandelion, forsythia... oh, I am impressing myself actually) but I've never really been one for bothering about the names of things although I can usually remember those of my wife, son and daughter, so... any idea about this one on our minimally maintained riverbank?
Apart from the cherry tree on our dear cat's grave we have planted nothing, just accepting what was there and whatever out of what arrives on the wind that we choose to nurture. There may be a few more such puzzles as the flowers bloom (and since I don't know the answers you can feel free to sound superior while talking rubbish, as generally works for me in other contexts).

The last tree before home
Every tree has some significance (and I can see our own tall tree from here)
and here is the last gorse bush too, or maybe whin, I think one has prickles and the other does not and they do tend to grow together, but I get mixed up (about everything)...
