I wandered over and assured him that a few more of us would arrive to welcome him soon, but pointing out that the coffee shop was open seemed to be enough to please him.

In the Lake District (England). I think that is her man in the distance but he looks as if he's in a bad mood, or he may just be thinking, 'What have I got myself into here?'

Or no... probably just reflecting on how lucky he is.
