Over the last two days I have been deeply saddened – DEEPLY – by the careless actions of others. I have been alerted that several readers have created private Facebook groups and are SHARING/UPLOADING epub and pdf versions of hundreds of novels.
Listen, I LOVE to read. LOVE TO READ. But getting something I didn’t pay for via back door methods is STEALING, no matter how you paint it. Imagine going to work for a year and having your boss tell you that you’re not worth paying. These groups think that they are safe as they are only sharing within their private walls, but what happens to that file content once it leaves the group? Nothing prevents it from being emailed or uploaded on global pirate sites. This doesn’t just affect me, it affects hundreds of authors who are finding their work being stolen and shared illegally. Please, if you can’t afford to buy something, stealing is not the answer.
Keeping you in the loop…
I swear, every time I log into goodreads I smile at the number of you who believe in me enough (and liked Rock and Roll) that When I Look to the Sky is on such a long “wish list”! I can HONESTLY tell you that you don’t WISH it as bad as me…. :)
So… here’s where I am:
The cover needs a few tweaks and additions (but did I tell you that I LOVE my cover artist?!I) I have one more change to make. and then I’ll send those last few chapters out for a final read through. After that I will need to make the typos, commas and spelling (OH MY!) changes. And tweak the layout.
I’m hoping (fingers and toes crossed!) that I can upload by April 10th. I’ll let you know here if that will happen. It’s getting closer!

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
Just a quick note for now – busy day!
My cover designer is coming this afternoon to show me what he’s come up with for When I Look to the Sky – very excited! I loved the cover on Rock and Roll, so I am sure I will not be disappointed!
I hit 100 LIKES on my facebook page yesterday and printed out all the names and hen Pizza Hut delivered dinner I asked the delivery guy to draw a name! He was funny – “Am I gonna end up on Facebook?” YEP, YOU DID (with his permission but no name)!
I’m not telling the prize until the winner contacts me!
OK – gotta git a move on lil’doggies!

There’s a light………..
Good morning world!
I wanted to post to let you know how much I love that you take the time to share your thoughts with me – email, facebook, the reviews you are sharing with the world! I love you all for believing in me!
I also wanted to give you an update to help answer the questions like ‘when… when… when?????’ and ‘this week???????’ :)
I’M HURRYING AS FAST AS I CAN! ha ha!
You don’t want me to give you something that isn’t ready, and I don’t want to give it to you because I want you to LOVE IT like you’ve told me you love Rock and Roll.
I am finishing my final read through in the next day or so. My next reader/proofer and layout helper is waiting for it when ‘m done. I’m meeting my cover designer on Saturday and we’ll move forward from there. so…..
I’m also working on a SNEAK PEEK and I’ll let you know where and when I will let that go. Hoping to have a cover idea to release with it when I do, so…. SOON SOON SOON!

Here is our 5 Star Review of Rock and Roll Never Forgets byBarbara Stewart Author. Thank you to Jennifer Hagen for being our Guest Reviewer!
July 1978-Andy and Beth meet before a concert of the Travelers where Andy is the lead singer, and thus begins a journey of their lives for over 20 years.
Andy loves Beth (or Bethy as he calls her) deeply but because of his fear of not being able to offer her what she deserves and his fear of hurting her, he pushes her away several times and in fact on one occasion doesn’t even have the decency to call her but rather has his manager call to say they are done. He realizes his mistake every time and begs Bethy to take him back, and she does.
“We were good, really good, Bethy. It was comfortable and that scared me, and scared led to stupid. I panicked. I ran. I screwed up.”
Beth’s insecurities play a part in a couple of their misunderstandings. She does not enjoy being scrutinized by the public and in the spotlight. She questions Andy’s faithfulness. She tires of him not giving her the attention she wants and is realizing what she is missing. She is missing her friends, family, and realizes that Andy hasn’t remembered her on holidays or her birthday. She is ready
for marriage and he never talks about it. They have worked
their way through infidelity, mental illness, and rehab but this time it’s final.Beth wants to go home. Andy still won’t give up without a fight, even when Beth calls to tell him she is moving on with her life.
“When I knew that I could commit to you, when I knew that I could go forward and be true and honest to you, it was too late.”
But sometimes fate has other plans.when Beth is faced with an illness it is Andy that she summons and he finally is able to give her the commitment that she wanted so many years ago.
“I thought years ago that I had lost her forever and then this.this horrible, horrible thing happened. And she was returned to me.”
This was a beautiful love story. I did find the beginning to be slow, but it was spent building up their relationship and to let the reader know there was so much love between Andy and Bethy. There are times throughout the story when your heart will be broken just as Beth’s and you will become emotional. This is not a story that will be gone from you after the last word and you will have difficulties moving on to find another quite as poignant.

Break time….
I had to stop and take a break from pretty much everything for a few minutes…
(added 2:00PM Saturday – I updated the Rock and Roll page)
Been puny again (maybe ‘still’ is better) and haven’t done much of anything… And when I decided to give some more editing a shot – my computer froze and I hadn’t done the big SAVE in a while… ahhhh… the wonders of technology… lesson learned – BACK UP OFTEN! This will NOT delay me… just gotta hit it… I’m getting close for all those who are asking. (THANK YOU FOR ASKING!)
I want to say how much I appreciate the feedback I’m receiving, and tell you that I look at everything you share with me as FEEDBACK. This is still a learning process for me and I take your comments seriously. I appreciate the time you took to take a chance on me and then to share the thoughts on your experience. THANK YOU!
I am reaching out more and more to learn how, where, when to share my work, and others are reaching out to me, very exciting!
