COVER REVEAL: Anything Once by Meka James

Anything Once by Meka JamesRelease Date: January 22, 2019Publisher: Limitless PublishingGenre: Adult, Contemporary, Erotic Romance
Blurb:
Quinn has been happily married for ten years. Her relationship with Ian is built on love, trust, and honesty. At least that's what she thought...until a four-letter word changed everything.

P.O.R.N.
After finding her husband alone in a rather awkward situation, Quinn starts to question her beliefs about their marriage.

While they've always had a healthy sex life, it was far from adventurous. She loves her husband, and he loves her, but the revelation allows worries to mount, and insecurities to grow.

After having a candid conversation with Ian, Quinn realizes that it all boils down to one very important question.

Is she willing to try anything once?

The answer is...yes.

**This story contains discussions on infertility**

Excerpt:
Quinn wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her face in his chest.“Baby, you okay?”She nodded.“You sure?”She nodded again. “My legs are a little wobbly.”He laughed, then in one swoop, bent down to pick her up and carried her over to the couch. Quinn sat in his lap with her head resting against his shoulder. Ian waited to see what she’d say, how she’d react to him treating her so roughly, since he’d never been anything but gentle in their lovemaking. She intertwined her fingers with his and started placing soft kisses on his neck. “I want to try.”He rubbed his thumb across her knuckles. “Try what?”She sat up to look at him. “More. Different ways. I’m willing to give anything a shot, once.” She stopped and smiled. “More than once if I like it.”Ian sucked in a breath. “Really?”Her tongue darted across her bottom lip before she sank her teeth into it and nodded.“Sweetness, you don’t have to do that.”His statement was met with a rolling of the eyes and muttering under her breath. Even after all these years, his Spanish was only slightly less rusty than when they’d first met. He managed to pick up the words “kind-hearted” and “idiot” during her quiet rant before she took a breath and placed her warm hands on either side of his face.“I know I don’t ‘have’ to do this. The last twelve years of our relationship has proven that.”Any rebuttal got silenced by the hard narrowing of her eyes.“I want to do this. To explore new things.”Sincerity radiated through her every word. This was not the outcome he’d ever expected, but the possibility of getting to have new experiences with his wife was an opportunity he wouldn’t let go to waste.

Falling in love for the first time should be the most amazing feeling in the world. For me, it was the exact opposite.
See, the guy I fell in love with turned out to be a cheat. The best part, the real doozy? He cheated on me with my very own twin sister.
The entire debacle left me with enough wounds, and knives in my back to last me a lifetime. I was convinced I’d never fall in love again. Ever.
Until I ran into my past.
Orlando was my first crush. My friend. But he’s not the Orlando I remember. He’s changed. Now he’s the silent, brooding type. The type I should avoid while nursing a broken heart.
I know I shouldn’t risk it. I know I should keep my distance.
But here’s the thing…I can’t.

Review: Akea - The Power of Destiny

Akea - The Power of Destiny Akea - The Power of Destiny by Elizabeth Jade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lovely read!

I enjoyed reading this short children's story. I've found it via Book Connectors group in Facebook. And I'm glad I read this.

This story is about a husky Akea, who's intrigued by the strange wolf that often visits her. When she learns her owner is going to sell her, she takes off into the forest to be with the strange wolf.

There she learns her connection with the wolves and trains hard to become a part of them. But turns of events isn't favorable for her. She must fight against the odds to reach her true destination.

I loved the couple Kazhakh and Akea. They both are made for each other. I loved how the events turned out and Elizabeth has done a great job.

Will definitely recommend this to parents who want to buy a new book for their children.

Review: Terror and Temptation: A Romantic Suspense Novel

Terror and Temptation: A Romantic Suspense Novel Terror and Temptation: A Romantic Suspense Novel by Vella Day
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I'm reading from the author and I must say I really loved her writing style. Terror and Temptation took off right from chapter one and it never lagged speed until the end. It kept me at the edge the entire time, especially the climax is breathtaking.

Detective Rossi is investigating the murders in Tampa and somehow all deaths are connected to a local bar, Blue Moon. The manager Tessa is too attractive for his own good. He could tell she wasn't completely honest with him and is hiding something. While fighting the attraction, he gets closer to her to figure out what she's hiding.

As days go by, the killer leaves a trail of more bodies and readers are led on a cat and mouse chase along with Detective Rossi. We travel with them wondering who's the killer. The clues are all perfectly placed and we know one of the character we met is the killer, but cracking his identity is like matching the puzzle piece.

I liked it a lot and I'd say the writing is something that made me feel like I'm savoring the words. I like the books that makes me feel I'm savoring it. I also liked how Tessa thinks logically and doesn't argue with Rossi when he says something that's logical. I like her thinking and how she figures out the things, in fact, helps Rossi with the investigation.

All the elements in this story played out well and my other favorites are the supporting characters Eleanor and Marge. They love to gossip, but they also serve as a key to crack what possibly appeared as a cold case with no leads.

I'll be coming back to read more from this author and I highly recommend this book to anyone who love a romantic suspense.

Review: The Devil in Disguise

The Devil in Disguise The Devil in Disguise by Cynthia Eden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I always look up to this author and this is the second time I'm reading this. I loved it to the core.

Luke is a bad boy lord of the dark, who does bad things. Or so it seems until we get to see his side. Mina is running from a secret government association and the man at the head of it. He likes to call himself a collector.

Someone tells Mina to go to Luke since he's the only one who can keep her safe. Luke is taken with the seductive siren, who walks into his life in a dim lit bar. Things take a quick turn when they are suddenly hunted. It'll take everything for Luke to stop the collector and he wasn't the one to go down without a fight.

This is an amazing read and kept me hooked the entire time. When I finished it wasn't enough. I love the entire series and want to read it again. Highly recommended if you love a bad boy hero with a good & possessive side.

Review: Midnight Bite

Midnight Bite Midnight Bite by Cynthia Eden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Loved it!

Another interesting read from my favorite author.

Lark Kinsley doesn't expect her blonde date to have fangs and she sure isn't ready for the Paranormals hunting her out of the blue.

Devereaux Mancini is the vampire Prince protecting Lark for a reason. He holds a lot of secrets Lark doesn't know about.

Then there is a sexy, hell hound that was summoned and accidentally set free by Lark.

The story revolves around Lark and Dev majority of the time as they bicker back and forth on why they should or shouldn't mate. While I enjoyed several aspects of the story, I felt it kind of lacked Cynthia Eden magic.

One of the characters I enjoyed reading is the hell hound, Noren and wished he appeared more. It's a quick read.

Review: Don't Love A Liar

Don't Love A Liar Don't Love A Liar by Cynthia Eden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a thrilling read and I enjoyed it. After a long time I was at the edge of the seat wondering who the killer is as I read this romantic suspense. But it didn't compare to the For me series.

Kennedy is been targeted by a killer, who hides in the shadows as her brother Kyle is blamed for the murder of young women.

Remy is an undercover FBI officer, who is assigned to get close to Kennedy since she's the only thing that connects them to the killer. The broken doll killer leaves small pieces for her to find and they are led on a car and mouse chase.

Remy and Kennedy falls for each other along the way and its for the readers to find out the rest. It's worth the read and I loved the twists.
