Born in Tyndall, SD, Roger's family moved while he was still very young. He lived in Arizona until the 4th grade, then moved to Colorado. It was in the mountains where Roger began to enjoy reading. At first what was merely a pleasant past time became a passion for fantasy when he discovered the works of Terry Brooks, namely The Sword of Shannara. He began to write his first novel a year later in the 7th grade, and that book would be the beginning of Ravin World and the Ravin Saga Universe.

Roger's family moved back to South Dakota, where he finished high school and met his future wife, Alysia. He enrolled at the University of South Dakota to study biology, chemistry, and creative writing. His plan was to go into veterinary medicine and be a ...more

I'm still here. I'm just hard at work on a number of different projects right now, with one being quite large. Hopefully you will get to see what I've been working on soon.
