Exciting New Things! :)

There is a new development in the works that I am excited to share with you… and that development involves Baker Family Adventures Merchandise!

Lord willing, these custom-made items will be available to order within the next few days. Mugs and cushions should be up and running first … but look out for other exciting things on the way!

Blessings,

Liebster Award: 11 Fun Questions

I was recently nominated by Holly from My Reel Life for the Liebster award. Thank you, Holly!

(Here is Holly’s explanation: One blogger nominates eleven other bloggers for the award, then those eleven nominate another set of bloggers for the award!  It keeps getting passed around, allowing bloggers to get their blogs out there!  The award is a badge that you put on your blog for all to see. )

Tag Rules:

1 -Thank the blog that nominated you for the award.

2 – Answer the questions they gave you.

3 – Nominate 11 other bloggers for the award, and give them 11 questions to answer.

Here are the questions from Holly — a lot of them turned out to be very hard to answer, but a lot of fun too

Hey from the USA! Part 3

While preparing to travel around the States, I had a goal to learn about “American ranch life” and how it compares to farm life in the UK … and on this research trip, I had the opportunity to stay on a ranch, tackle some chores, get a sense of general Western experiences, and do plenty of horse-riding — Western style!

Halters, saddles, and hats might be different, but spending time outdoors with animals and wide open sky is as wonderful as the UK (when it’s not raining here

Hey From the USA! Part 2

I’m sorry it’s been such a long while! As my trip progressed I decided to invest myself in ‘living’ it because it was a limited thing I could share with you all afterward. The title of this post isn’t accurate, as I’m well and truly back home, but it had a nice ring to it and it’s the sort of post I was meaning to write while I was away.

Where did I finish last time? Ah, that’s right. Canada, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana, by way of the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and Mammoth Cave.

I had the chance to explore the KY and TN State Capitols, attend a history tour where I met one of YOU lovely commenters by ‘accident’

Hey from the USA!

It’s hard to believe that in less than two weeks, I’ve flown, driven, and walked almost 5,000 miles, setting foot in Canada, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana. I’ve met a lot of warm and welcoming people, with charming accents and new turns of phrase.

Here are a few snapshots of my time so far!

Notice the trusty writer’s notebook sticking out of my pocket in the cave photo?

February Updates and So Long for Now :)

Hello Everyone!

I’ll soon be heading off on a Research Adventure, so I might be quiet for a while … but please feel free to continue commenting among yourselves or getting in touch with me. It sometimes takes a little while for me to get back to you, but know that I read and appreciate every email!

I’d like to post pictures while I’m on the go, so if you or your parents or siblings follow me on Facebook (which recently changed its algorithms), you may want to let them know how to tweak a setting to be sure you don’t miss any of the action.

I understand that selecting the ‘See first’ option in the ‘Following’ drop-down menu will ensure my posts aren’t invisible to you

Hunting in the Highlands is LIVE on Kindle!

Happy 1st day of the last month of the year! How has 2017 flown so fast? … What would you say is your favourite event or memory of the year so far?

Because it’s the 1st of December, that also means it’s the first day that Baker Family Adventures: Hunting in the Highlands is available on Kindle!  Amazon US   |   Amazon UK

(And because I have to include a campfire picture to match the “kindle” concept… here’s a little quote.
