January 2020 Project Report

I find it easy to look ahead and stay focused on the next item or project on my to-do list. It is also easy to lose sight of what is most important. It is essential to find time to make sure tasks and projects align with a higher mission.

I like to look back each month and examine where I spent my time and how well I progressed towards reaching my goals.

The Rabbit and the Rock: A Psalm 91 Story for Children

The Lord is our rock, our shelter, and our fortress! When we are afraid or in a challenging time in our lives, we can turn to him for his protection.

In this fable a rabbit avoids the hunters and finds shelter in the rock.

God Calls Samuel: A Bible Story for Kids about Prayer

1 Samuel 3

Our God is not far away or silent. He speaks to us, but how can we hear him?

This is the story of the first time the Prophet Samuel heard the voice of the Lord. He was young, but that didn’t stop him from seeking to serve God. As you read this story, pay attention to where Samuel was when he heard God’s voice.

There once was a boy named Samuel. When he was still very young his mother gave him to a high priest named Eli so that he could serve the Lord. Eli was old and nearly...

Psalm 23 Stories for Children

Psalm 23 Stories for Kids

I believe that stories have an unmistakeable power to pass on faith to young people. Therefore, one of the most effective ways to teach about Psalm 23 to children is to tell them a story. I wrote the following two stories about sheep and the Shepherd to help you explain the meaning behind this popular Psalm to kids.

My 2019 Project Report

Writing annual and monthly project reports has been a really beneficial practice to start off a new year. I always find myself spending a surprising amount of time on projects I didn’t realize became such a big priority. Going through this analysis helps establish the most important areas to spend my time the following year.

Here are my past two annual project reports: 2017 and 2018.

Once again I’m breaking down this report into three parts:

How I spent my timeThe progress I made towards my...

December 2019 Project Report

Dear family, friends, and followers,

Occasionally, people joke that they have no idea what I do. I will be honest, it is hard to explain sometimes. I tell people I’m an author, but the truth is I do a lot more than write books.

I like to look back each month and examine where I spent my time and how well I progressed towards reaching my goals. It helps me stay accountable and I hope it helps explain what it is I actually do all day.
