X Files Parody End of Chapter and Poetry Reflection
Greetings great greenYgreyliens, and thanks to all those who’ve been keeping the greenYgreying spirit bubbling in recent days and weeks.
X Files Parody
Since I last posted, there’s been quite a lot of activity on the new greenYgrey blog, with episodes 22, 23 and 24 finishing off Chapter 3 of our X Files parody. XaW Files is nearing completion now, so it’s all hands to the deck with that at the moment, so things are going to be quiet around here for a while, but were (sic) still here, and going to carry on in some form or other; like you’d expect from an old werewolf legend!
The episodes provide a whistle stop tour of Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia, and end with a surprise revelation about the origins of Andy Wolfhol’s inspiration Andy Warhol… just before we reached there, and long after we were due to arrive, if we’d kept to the average episodes each of the five countries featured in the chapter should have had within the 24 episodes.
Poetry Reflection
There’s also Reflection 49 from 242 Mirror Poems and Reflections, which is about how some people and groups can try and blame others to distract from their own failings or negative traits.
The cover of that book was chosen after inspiration from Kasabian, and they headlined the first night at Perthshire’s first T in the Park last night. How X Files parody weird, and glad it went well.

X Files Return, Poem Dream Flight and Work Ethics
The week on the new greenYgrey blog started with the latest episode of our X Files parody, which is an epic three-voices poem travelling from the present into the past, and from a Ukraine lake to Polish North-Sea coast: X Files Parody Dream Flight.
Link for Amazon book and kindle.
Link for multiple Ereaders at Smashwords. It was followed by news that X Files will return next January, a year after our fantasy ramble began, and twenty years after the last series: X Files Return.
The week ended with the latest Folding Mirror poem reflection to be serialised from 242 Mirror Poems and Reflections. It focused on work in the private and public sectors, and freedom of information: Poem Reflection.
Charity Clarity
The last thing I want to do is criticise charities, and I hope they continue to thrive doing great work.
However, critical thinking means everything is open to criticism, including charity.
Firstly, there are some smaller and newer charities that may be bogus.
Secondly, the biggest problem people have with established charities is the high-earners at the top, who have often previously been with big corporate companies. While the charities say they are worth their money, and bring in more than they earn, at what cost is this? Do they bring in more money because they bring in corporate tactics and philosophy, such as hard selling, targets and bonuses?
Tribalism and competition at work is often strong even amongst workers at the most corporate companies, where the employees probably wouldn’t have cared at all about their job’s targets before, so I guess workers at charities could be encouraged into being even more ruthless, as they can think that their work is ultimately doing good… but some of their patrons might fall by the wayside, like the 92-year-old who’d been trying to do the right thing all her life!
I don’t know the reality of life working in charity promotion/sales, or what the circumstances really are, but there does seem to have been more people complaining about charities since the high-earners with corporate experience were brought in.
Disclaimer: I haven’t researched this, and am just writing it from hearing about a few recent cases, and am generally happy with the charities I support, although I think I do receive too many requests for more money, and ways of giving it.
Please don’t let this put you off giving to charity, but I would recommend choosing well established ones.

Freedom of Thought Escapes University and Work
The new greenYgrey blog week started with the next episode from the serialisation of our X Files parody, which was the second of a deep winter deep thought trilogy: deep sea dreaming.
The real world then took over, with blogs about grooming at work and university, and snobbery and superiority at the same.

Highlights from the New greenYgrey Blog
As we begin to leave this greenYgrey world dimension, I’ll be running a weekly digest to make it as easy as possible, and try and interest any new visitors.
There’s a new greenYgrey blog, and there were three posts there this week:
On Sunday, Reflection 44 from my latest poetry collection 242 Mirror Poems and Reflections was about dealing with power and bullying in society, and especially powerful liars who use their position to groom and be sadistic.
On Wednesday, the latest episode of my X Files parody was an introspective search for inspiration in the sky, told in the footsteps of seagulls.
On Friday, Reflection 45 was about life and death being a mystery tour, as no-one really knows what’s beyond birth and our time on Earth.

British Election Special: Nick Cave Shows Real Feelings for Russell Brand
We’ve got a British election special on the new greenYgrey3 blog today, where we realise that yesterday’s liking of Nick Cave’s documentary can be used to clarify why we criticise Russell Brand… probably disproving the Negatives’ sex theory… although in true greenYgrey style, we then go and cloud the situation by admitting we are quite jealous of Brand in some ways… although we think we’d lose credibility if we acted the same way… but that doesn’t seem to matter to the luvvie liberals anyway!

Were (sic) Moving to a New Dimension
You’ve been great visitors to the greenYgrey world, and that’s why were (sic) continuing to blog our epic journey in the human world.
Britain Not Ready for a Chav Himbo Doctor:
Unfortunately, the thrills of Jihad John’s peak-time publicity and Russell Brand’s brief moneymaking, publicity-seeking, hope-raising and paper-wasting Revolution proved more popular than our ethical behaviour and rational philosophy greenYgreyvolution.
While we love all great greenYgreyliens, and don’t ask anything of you, so were (sic) not berating or begging you here, but there hasn’t been enough sales of our cheap and ethically self-published books to justify a big expenditure on upgrading the greenYgrey website before it expires in a few months.
This blog seems to have been corrupted during the upgrade at the turn of the year, perhaps in a XaW Files style mystery, but more likely a technical gremlin beyond our limited IT knowledge.
Great News for Great greenYgreyliens
(written with self-parody, but we hope there are some who really enjoy the writing)
However, the great news for greenYgreyliens is that we are going to continue blogging on wordpress.com, home of our sister fmpoetry and travel25years websites.
All the blog posts currently on this site have been imported there, and there’s a new XaW Files episode posted this morning: which features discussion of a Nick Cave documentary that had lots of great creative-mind insight, and the greenYgrey version of POP ART that brightens up cold grey winters, with less time between appearances than in summer.
Hopefully see you on The Others’ side… https://greenygrey3.wordpress.com/

XaW Files 6:13 Ecology Reminder of Semiology
Is the greenYgrey a symbolYicon?
There’s lots more about semiotics and lots more greenYgreying Balvenie adverts on YouTube, or as it is sometimes known in the greenYgrey world, tubeYou.
Please drink in moderation and drive with toleration, without semiotically analysing signs (and drinking) while driving!

Mirror Poem Reflects on Punk, Heavy Metal and New Wave Eras
The next reflection to be serialised reflected the Folding Mirror poem The God PiL, which was published on the fmpoetry.wordpress.com site in 2011.
Punk Mirror Poem Reflection
The reflection is an explanation of the poem, as well as remembering the punk era from my childhood in the late 1970s.
I was more into New Wave in the late 1970s, and Blondie in particular, and then got into Heavy Metal and Rock around 1980.
Both of the above genres had a punky attitude, if not the extremes of pure punk, and then my favourite rock/metal band emerged in 1987 with a very punky attitude that I related to, and that captured the imagination of a generation: Guns N’ Roses.
Punk Parody of Egotistical ‘Friends’
I thought I should include the chronology and dates, as I did work with somebody who was into punk last year, and I wouldn’t want them to think they inspired the poem and reflection.
I don’t know if they would, but it has happened a lot before: such as ‘friends’ claiming a big influence on me twenty years after I was into the cultures and music they found a long time later.
They did partly influence the werewolf characters in this blog, but only as a punkish parody of them!
Reflection 43
This poem was about the limits of our mind’s and planet’s resources, and warning against forcing your opinion and beliefs on others. It incorporates the band name PIL (Public Image Limited) to give it more oomph and memorability, and because writing the poem had brought back memories of PIL and punk.
After recently seeing a trilogy of documentaries marking the 35th anniversary of punk, I wonder how much of the punk ethos was imprinted on my brain all those years ago, as it called for disposable originality. Many of my poems have been written with that kind of mentality, although I don’t remember a punk influence at the time.

Winter Returns UK rain for Ukraine X Files Parody Episode
Seasons have no sense, for they were invented by us.
We have no reason, grasping at what it may all mean.
Some hide from modernity, preferring to live a fantasy…
Chapter 3 Episode 17
I had to return here from 6:11, three months ahead, a long snake to fall down using a board game analogy. The future was spring, and the sun was shining when I left. It seemed a totally different world, but it still had most of the holistic problems, and some were worse than ever. Those problems were beyond my control or influence, and I was finding it difficult to even sort out my own journey, which meant remembering what I meant when I travelled here about 100 days ago. And if I have trouble knowing what I meant, what chance have you got, reading this third hand, from the XaW Files world through the greenYgrey and into the human! Hopefully it’s clearer now…
Clear Thinking
People would think me strange if they knew, which will not be good for my mind, but they are not controlling my seesaw so much now anyway, so it’s okay, but I just wanted to write that my mind feels freer and more balanced now.
Now that I’m alone, at peace with my mind, with most of the negative weight removed, rising my mind up at least level, and sometimes even into the sky… lifted by the release of my thoughts into words, creating more space for other thoughts to run freely, exchange high fives and jump for joy.
Negatives are scared of what you’ll think, but sometimes you agree with them anyway: so they stop you talking in agreement with them! Not that it really matters to them anyway, as they only care about their own life and thoughts, and are often so high and mighty or narrow minded that they don’t even realise you’re agreeing with them. Whereas somebody they aesthetically approve of can be opposed to them, or doing bad by them, but it’s okay with them, because they like the way they look or sound.
Novgorod in Land of Nod
That night I dreamt
what a painting meant
Oleg of Novgorod
by Victor Vasnetsov.
It concerned Veliky Novgorod
which we’d flown over
from Moscow to Saint Petersburg
rather than Nizhny Novgorod
our last stop before Moscow
where I’d fallen loudly into Gorky’s sub-conscious
and read in his mind that: ‘You must first find out if you are a character or plot driven story. Sometimes there is no beginning, middle or end. You should know that, for your first fantasy travel across North America was character driven, while your second one over all the regions of Oz had a plot.’
Not only did I not have a plot, but I was lagging behind in my planned X Files structured ramble. It wasn’t completely my fault though, as I was doing the right amount of work, but the greenYgrey world was focusing on blogging too much, and I was finding too much greenYgrey On The Road!
