Published!!!!
I have been bad about updating this blog and I apologize! For regular updates, I'm much better at Facebook and Twitter. But it's time to post here about some very exciting news:
1. The boutique publishing company Blue Deco will be publishing my urban fantasy novel "In The Drawing" in the next couple months.
2. I'm in negotiations with another publishing company about my YA fantasy novel "Between The Water & The Woods," due out in 2018, if all goes well. More details on that coming very soon!
Here is the cover reveal for "In The Drawing"!

Online Reading from "Between The Water & The Woods"
Hi everyone, I hope you and your families are safe and well, and hanging in there. Since libraries are closed right now, some are inviting authors to film themselves doing readings to share on social media. I did one from "Between The Water & The Woods" for the Three Rivers Branch Library near the Sequoia National Park and you can watch it here:

Like many people right now, I've been doing a lot of reading and watching movies, but I've also been working on a new novel! I'm also excited about a paperback version of "Between The Water & The Woods" coming out in June.
Much love,
Simone

THE QUAVERING AIR (April 4th)
Hello! Long time no post, I know, I know... I just wanted to share that I have a new book coming out in April called THE QUAVERING AIR!

Here's the blurb:
All that divides Span from its dark sister world, Avid, are two extraordinary clocks set an hour apart by the wise founders known as The Appon. When a mysterious shapeshifter alters their settings, Avid’s beasts start slipping through rifts in the air, wreaking havoc on the many species of Span. Despite her insecurities and fresh heartbreak, the young human Renna answers the Appon’s summons to join the champions chosen to save their land from destruction. On a journey riddled with attacks from otherworldly creatures, the motley crew must put aside their prejudices and dark suspicions . . . because they dare not abandon the mission.
THE QUAVERING AIR features a vulnerable but fierce heroine, as well as non-human characters and a unique setting. Its visuals and themes are inspired by classic fantasy films like The Dark Crystal, Willow, and Legend.
Just for fun, here are some artists' depictions of characters from the story.
Thanks for reading!
