Is the train coming?

I thought y'all would enjoy a small excerpt from my current travelogue ENJOY. ENDURE, about my time in Vietnam. (Though I am still in Bangkok here.)

I maaay have taken a creative liberty in HOW fast the train was going. It’s certainly slow enough that anyone IN the way can move OUT of the way. But it is still closer to a moving train then one usually recommends.

A three panel comic.

Panel 1: We have a close up of several fantasy children. They’re eyes wide and mouths agog. Whatever they’re looking at has their complete attention.

Panel 2: We see the object of their amazement. A shiny new drum set, complete with a big red bow.

Panel 3: We turn to our lead detectives from BLACK CLOAK, Pax the fairy on the left and Essex the dracona on the right. Pax is father to all the children, and clearly dismayed by Essex’s choice to gift the children with this noise making machine. He mutters 'Oh, you have done EVIL today’ as Essex wraps an arm around his shoulder. She looks very pleased, sipping on her red wine with a straw. She knows what she did.

Anyways! The recipe for Cinnamon Roll Cake (which is VERY GOOD) (my monstrous hunger for frosting notwithstanding) comes care of THE COUNTRY COOK.

CBS will end ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ next year

Side note:

“Yeah, I share your feelings,” he told the audience. “It’s not just the end our our show, but it’s the end of The Late Show on CBS. I’m not being replaced. This is all just going away.”

The entire show, which was hosted by David Letterman starting in 1982 and then Conan O'Brien–THAT show–is being canceled. Like I feel like this is a fairly valuable show to just be tossing out the window.
